- This is what I think about the 2024 Mustang GT as a daily driver and "high performance" vehicle. Overall, the S650 Mustang GT is absolutely AMAZING and one of the best, if not the best modern Mustangs you can buy on the market right now equipped with a manual transmission! Bit of voodoo history. The voodoo came from a WW2 tank that was a 17 liter 500hp 1050 tork motor called the GAA it was a spin off from a Rolls-Royce aircraft motor. 😊

Hell yeah man i went with a 2011 mustang 5.0 6r80 it has 1 2 3 which isn’t bad but id rather have paddles forsure
Actually picked up my 2024 GT base last Week and have really enjoyed it. It’s a 10 speed automatic and not a manual but it’s also got the 301A pack with the active exhaust so it’s an upgraded brand new base.
301A good bang for buck especially with active exhaust! 🔥🔥🔥

@@EarsPOV yeah man it’s been such a blast to drive and with the active exhaust you almost feel like you don’t even need to put an H/X pipe on it. The color I chose was the carbonized grey metallic with the black gloss rims to go with it.
I just bought a 2010 GT a month ago. It’s in really great condition. I’m using the stock shift knob, but the shifter is a bit rough. I’m getting use to it

That RPM power cut or lock out would make me crazy.. Thats one thing I have to say about my used 17 GT that I don't have an issue with is shifting.. I only have 12,200 miles on my Gen 2... That being said My red line is 6800/hard 7000 RPM but I am able to rev out to 7500 in my MT82 with no problem.. The only things done to my GT is an C&L Axle back, Steeda Xpipe, Steeda 35lb clutch assist spring, Steeda Jack rails, and Steeda IRS braces.. And I have a Performance Pack 2017 too.. I love my manual just for the fun, not to mention the control I have over my car vs being in an auto.. The MT82's aren't that great but they aren't horrible either.. And once you can get tuned you'll be able to rev your car out properly.. I don't know how the newer MT82's are but mine is clunky but I also don't have issues with it either.. Honestly that clutch protection would make me crazy and 4th should be the easiest gear to get into.. That would make me crazy..

You can do all the justifying in the world, but the GT should be able to bang gears, I can see not being quite as performance oriented as a dark horse or a 350.. But to be limited especially with the shifts is ridiculous, I would immediately modify the trans to fix that.

Yea it needs the short throw & twin disc clutch to be able to really bang gears!
I test drove the 6 speed and was able to bang gears spun it in first and broke it loose in 2nd. I only drove it for like 30 mins but it felt pretty good to me.
I can understand all of this from a manual stand point. But the A10 is just completely different
Your absolutely WRONG! 10 Speed is super fun and wonderful to drive anyday...all day. I could care less about another man's transmission, and no other man should either, but you can't speak for others, because manual is YOUR preference . Just talk about how YOU, enjoy YOUR car. I been driving for 40 years, and drove it all. Manual to ME, isn't fun at all.

I know lack of tuning has everyone but Whipple pissed off for sure lol.. It's funny to watch all the different tuner's hate on Ford and Whipple over the tuning stuff.. It is kind of messed up and I can see Ford only giving Whipple access for like the first 3 years. Ford is making it so you have to go with a Whipple if you want to make more power now.. It definitely sucks for the Tuner's who do tunes for everything from NA to turbo, ESS kit's and stuff like that..
I plan on upgrading from a 2022 dodge charger GT (v6) to either a 2022 camaro SS all red (10 speed) or a new 2024 mustang gt (10 speed). I test drove the mustang last month and it was lovely I just have to test drive and SS to make my final decision but it’s soo hard because I like both cars😂

The mt82 is a good trans it’s just a clutch issue it’s trash. I’m going with a Ben calimer clutch once I start going fbo

You do adjust to the 6th gen visibility, and it will outperform any of the modern mustangs on a track. That being said Mustangs do look better, especially a Gen 2
