The older it gets, the more amazing it becomes. It has been 10 years since I saw one and over the 10 years span I haven’t found a better supercar than this classic LFA. It’s just amazing.
It truly is unbelieveable that the engine can rev from 0-9000 rpm in .6 seconds, Toyota and Lexus definitely didn't waste those 9 years of development on the car
Fucking Luxury Race Car. The level of detail is crazy.. even the seat controls look badass. That V10 is a work of art The best car to ever come out of Japan by far.
To those people who think the digital tachometer is too slow to keep up with the revs, he explains in an annotation that the audio was not in sync with the video. Go to 28:13 and you'll hear the sound of the passenger door closing before he actually closes the door.
Just a reminder that this car is 10 seconds faster around the Nurburgring than a 911 GT3 RS. And the LFA has a radio and A/C and all sorts of other heavy stuff the GT3 doesn't.
OneTallOrder Porsche has 3 cars in the Top 7 fastest production car lap times around the ring. The Porsche 911 GT3 ( non RS) is 7th so you are incorrect.
Trey S the only one who is incorrect is you the comment was upload 3 years ago at this time the only porsche that was faster than the LFA N package was the 918 !!!
I made a Lexus joke in front of my girlfriends dad when i first met him because she told me he likes cars and he took me to his garage and this is what i see sitting in his garage...
Was working at a job sight in a upscale neighborhood, and I see this 18 year old pull out of the driveway in a LFA, man did that thing give me goosebumps when he revved that engine up.
Best sounding car ever made hands down!! V10 9000rpm with unbeat Lexus reliability is why its expensive than other luxury car makers and I wouldn't doubt that it still gets like 20mpg LMAO CTFU LOL that's how it should be when u pay for an exclusive and expensive car to begin with
You truly did this car justice. People are so obsessed with numbers these days that no one truly looks at all of the stunning attention to detail and all of the R&D and money put into making it an unparalleled ownership experience. The quality, fit, finish and engineering are stunning. It would have been nice to mention the Lexus LFA Nurburgring record (on street non racing compound tires of 7:14, which is the quickest lap ever by a car that is not wearing Michelin Cup racing compound tires.
The LFA has handling and grip few cars can match, and it's incredibly agile because it weighs less than 3300 pounds. Its engine sounds amazing, and revs to 9000 rpm, making good use of its close ratio transmission, making its nuburgring lap time is only 7:14, which beats the Lamborghini Aventador, Bugatti Veyron, Nissan GT-R, Audi R8, Mercedes SLS AMG GT/Black Series, Lamborghini Gallardo, and all but 6 cars. The LFA also took 10 yrs of development to create, its 65% carbon fiber, and only 500 were made. LFA's are amazing even tho there are some flaws we spot
The interior is perfection. Such a beautiful and amazing place to be in and put that together with that 9500 rpm F1 V10 engine and incredible handing, it is no wonder the greatest car ever to have come out of Japan.
Agreed. The fact that LFA did a 7:14 when it carries the weight of so much luxury and also is focused on experience than numbers and without using racing slick super slick compound tires commands the highest respects from the TRUE enthusiasts. It is a no compromise exclusive exotic supercar like the mega factory episode showed. It was intended to be a racing car with an F1 V10 9500 rpm engine without giving up all of the luxuries and the experience of driving a proper racing car.
I know this is a 5 year old comment, but dude I see you everywhere or at least used to. I might have even said that to one of your comments a couple years ago too.
I am so in love with this supercar. A Ferrari and Lamborghini are faster and arguably more stylish but at the end of the day this is a dependable Lexus that's also extremely fun. After seeing Kyle's impeccable walk-through, I've come to the conclusion that Lexus set out to make a headache free supercar.
9 years developing this car untill it reached out the factory, Yamaha worked on the exhaust and made this car give its unique exhaust note, this car is the future
I never appreciated supercars. They just appeared to me like basically the same. Huge amount of power, crazy handling, exclusivity and more but always looked like soulless machines. For me the soul of a car is the memories you build in it but i might admit that this car looks like having one from the start. I owned expensive and fast cars in the past and always came back to old common cars because of the soul and history it had. I would definitively give a chance to an LFA. I'm affraid i'll have to content myself knowing i fuel filled one, which is already way more near of the car most people will ever be. Thank you so much for this very complete and detailed video. You showed the everyday aspect of it, not just the supercar in it :)
Aventador SV isn't as special as this. Only 50 Nurburgring editions of this were made, and there are Aventadors all over. Thousands of them even if they aren't SV's. So many special edition Aventadors.
Well have fun with your Lamborghini that will blow up after some thousands of kilometeres.... Or have fun with your Koenninsegg that's extremely overpriced. At least Lexus is japanese engineering which makes it a reliable car beside the italian engineering when your ferrari's engine simply blows up.
I don't know why everyone doesn't speak about the weight reduction of the Nurburgring Package LFA compared to a standard LFA, because the NP LFA is ~100kg lighter, and that's the main difference that makes it faster than the standard LFA. There's areodynamics differences, +10hp, semi-slicks, etc... but these are light modifications and are not the one that makes the NP LFA this fast. But that said, this is a superb review. I loved it. Matt Aventador is 2.9 seconds, Porsche 918 is 2.6 seconds, 911 turbo s is 3.1 seconds, even the Murcielago LP640 from 2006 is faster (3.4 seconds). Heck even the first GT-R was faster in 2008 with 3.5 seconds 0-100. And GT-R cost 80.000$. Sorry but 3.6 seconds is just slow for THIS kind of car.
Lexus has never planned to build a car for outright speed.....it's the experience. Ask Jeremy Clarkson and he'll say the LFA is the best car he ever driven.
+Black Man It's Nürburgring Edition, so basically it's a GT3 car ready on tracks and it's way more capable of providing more down force. You see every GT3/GT4 tuned car has big fixed wing instead of fancy small auto-rising wing, right?
It doesn't name it. But it's tuned specific for tracks. Big wing is needed just like other track cars. You see Porsche 911 GT3 RS4.0, McLaren 650S GT3 and P1 GTR?
I am a GTR fan as well. GTR of course is one of the best supercars in the martket, but I have to say. GTR might have better performance, but it is no way GTR is better than the LFA.
