My British girlfriend started watching football with me and that NW game was one of the first she got to see. I don't think she realized how ludacris it was to see someone break a standing single game rushing record but she knew for sure something different was happening. I remember taking a piss and she started laughing and shouting saying that same guy just ran halfway down the field when he had that big run from the endzone. That dude just puts everything he has into his runs and I knew he'd be better than Teague if we gave him time to heat up. It's a shame what happened in the league but hopefully he recovers he runs with mad energy.
Ohio State dominance in this game proved that the year prior the better team didn't win. Clemson only won the previous year because the officials cheated for Clemson with the targeting call against Wade and over turning the fumble that was a scoop and score. Those where two game changing plays that cost Ohio State that game.

I usually don't like Ohio St. but I'm happy they won this game. All of these people were trying to keep Ohio st. out and whining that they hadn't played the 6 game minimum and it was so obvious it wasn't the rules or fairness they cared about but it was the fact that everyone knew that Ohio st. was gonna be a tough out.

This win felt a lot like when we beat Alabama. Getting over that Clemson hump felt so good. It sucks Fields got so banged up during this game and sermon got injured during the natty but this absolute butt whooping felt damn good regardless of Alabama destroying us after this.

OSU had time to score but threw a interception. Which meant Ohio State ended up being 0-4 against Clemson.

Clemson was behind and with 3 minutes left in the game went 94 yards in 3 plays thru a gassed Ohio State defense and won the game. End of store. This victory gave Clemson their 4th. straight win over Ohio State;

I was at the fiesta bowl and also at the sugar bowl. The fiesta bowl was one of the emotional games I’ve seen in person . So loud and both sides going wild all night. The sugar bowl was total redemption for Ohio state. I just wish the stadium was full for that game. 3,000 fans only was just wild. Such a huge game but so quiet in the stadium.
People were so god damn annoying about us only playing 6 games. Like it ain't our fucking fault

This game showed the start of Clemson’s downturn because of the offensive line.
Ohio St whipped Clemson up front most of the game, but especially in the 2nd half.
TL and ETN are great players, and they are why Clemson had a great season.
Their departure, combined with continued poor O line play and recruiting spelled doom for DJU in 2021.
Got a similar feeling watching the game. Clemson had shown some hidden flaws throughout the season in that they weren’t controlling the tempo games with the same ease they had the previous 2 years. When facing all of that Ohio State athleticism and speed, everything they wanted to do fell apart after the 1st quarter.
I said a few years ago after Ohio State finally beat Clemson...that Clemson is done for awhile being an elite power

It wouldn't have made much of a difference. The primary problem for Clemson in this game boiled down to not having the horses on the OL to handle OSU's d-line, and not having the required speed in the secondary to stay with OSU's receivers down the field. Even if they score that drive, all Day had to do was send Olave, Wilson, or Williams on a 9 route because Clemson's DBs couldn't stay with them down the field, they just weren't fast enough.
The night Ohio State broke Clemson and they still haven't recovered since.
This ESPN announcer gets way too carried away, a lot of times when it's unnecessary. And 8n every game he calls. He starts yelling like a kick is being returned for the game winning TD when the water boys bring water out during a time out! It really starts to sound not genuine.

In all reality, the 2019 Fiesta Bowl fiasco...with blown calls against Ohio State seriously altering the Buckeyes' chances of winning....the 2021 Sugar Bowl looked like a 2 year prolonged make up call when they threw out Skalski, Clemson's middle linebacker and I believe their defensive captain that year...JUST like the 2019 Fiesta Bowl...RIGHT before halftime there is a targeting ejection, the offensive team scores a touchdown to give a dramatic reverse to the battle for a team's momentum in the game...and the second half is won by the team that got a 2nd chance to score right before halftime....from the targeting ejection call that cost the other team a very important defensive player...coincidental or is there something else going on? 🤔

I remember the first time we lost the Clemson their D lineman was grabbing Carlos Hydes jock while he was on the ground (sick fuks), they had a close-up of both incidents. 🤦♂️
