Fun Fact. The Golf 5 was sold in the US with the naturally aspirated 2.5 inline 5 engine under the name "rabbit"
If a 2.5 badge doesn't excite you, I guess you're not really a petrol head. Anything that has more than 4 cylinders these days is quite rare and special so it deserves some respect

The Question is, can it reach 250? At the end we can see that something is not working properly. The suspension seems very hard too. Why Golf 6/7 front? The Sound is heaven.
I mean honestly the front ends on the mk6’s looks fire the updated look is a conversion that works well

It's not an gti. It is an Golf 5 Rabbit. This edition was sold in the US with the 2.5 inline 5 as naturally aspirated

It's from what I understand not an Audi block, but a VW inline 5 block tuned with turbo kit, great sounding too though
@@soarerska no It got swaped Audi I5 engine. VW newer will akcept to golf this engine.
@@starszytatnamsok5675 it's not the same i5 engine from Audi, it's a 5 cyl that VW uses on mk5 and mk6 platforms, NA and port injected, engine code 07k, pretty common engine over here at North America but I think it wasn't used at all in other markets, I have one myself, 150 and 170 hp versions exist, this one as stated on the video used to be the 170 version when stock, but turboed to what's seen on the video, this engine it's kinda related to the Audi 07k3 used on the newer RS cars, but not even the block is the same, so it's a very different engine to the one on the Audis

@@zlover7777Kind of. It's the naturally aspirated EA855 (in this case, a turbo build). The RS engine is also the EA855 but turbocharged from factory alongside plenty of supporting changes.

I noticed recently the autobahn is getting busier so doing the speed run almost impossible even at moderate speed so I suggest shooting autobahn at early morning and car reviewing at the ordinary time.

There is no awd in rs3 as well. It's haldex. Rs3 is fwd while driving on Autobahn

The drivetrain loss is pretty much the same. It moves that fast, cause it's lighter than a rs3.
Golf 5 R32 weighs just 1330kg, which is 300kg less than modern rs3. More power and much less weight, that's why it's moving
@@jojajo2707 it really is. A 400hp golf gti walks a 410hp rs3 on a roll. Haldex still has that loss. Not as bad as full Quattro but still has awd loss. Doesn’t matter that it’s mainly fwd till it loses traction and sends power to the back

This is not an I5, but vr5. Those have been produced fur the US market. This is just an turbo on top of it. Is sounds a little bit like an audi 2.5 tfsi, but this is not the same engine. Though a ton of respect to this guy, for making such an increadible build.

VW and Audi 5 cylinders are different engines not really related
@@soarerska They are the same 5 cylinder engines, the TT is turbo charged to give it extra power. VW owns Audi and they share parts in some of their vehicles.
@gsjarvis6669 yeah, Audi is part of VAG Group, yeah they share components between their products, as the 2.0 engines, but the 5 cylinder is not the case, they are both have 5 pots and are 2.5 liters, but sadly, they are not related at all, a lot of people like me would like they were related because tuning would be a lot easier and you would see a lot more 2.5 turbo projects in VW platforms as the VW 2.5 is pretty common in MK5 and MK6 platform, but it's not the case... Audi 5 cylinders is a very nice and even awarded engine, they sound similar due to the firing order on the inline 5 being the same for both, but it's a different animal
@@soarerska The VW/Audi stamp is on the engine block of my 2.5. They are the same engine but tuned differently.
@gsjarvis6669 one has an iron block, the other aluminum, different timing components, direct vs indirect injection, forged internals vs casted ones, different valvetrain, different VVT, etc.. etc... not the same engine at all.. having the Audi logo on the sticker doesn't make it the same thing...

Disappointed. Sounds amazing but 242 kmh is nothing to write home about. I have 1.5L Eclipse Cross SUV that sounds just like that due to mods and exhaust but just like the Golf, my SUV doesn't go anywhere either.
