    Watched part 1 and 2, looks pretty good. So, with this I suppose it's safe to assume Daz itself won't be looking to upgrade its own animation tools, instead looking for third party solutions. If that's the case then I think it would be nice if Daz could get some sort of partnership with Cascadeur to integrate options for easier importing/exporting between the apps :)

      Daz studio will never become something more than "pose-render" solution. For animations you can use any capable 3D studio which is hundred times better than Daz.

    As the week's go by I'm gonna be adding more and more features but now my addon SUPER SOLID MODE! Which is soon gonna be renamed? I think to FAST ANINATION STUDIO & TOOLKIT automatically installs Diffeomorphic for you and keeps it installed....the development version so you always have the latest features...but there's going to be tons of workflow improvements for working with DAZ characters in Blender using Diffeomorphic...above the awesome features Diffeomorphic already has...which as we know are too many to comfortably recount here😀👍

    Cascadeur seems to need a lot of manual tweaking right now to work well with Daz figures. I expect that will change over time as the program, and the scripts and mods people create for it, address the issues. Thanks for the look!

  • @ClaudioMalagrino
    @ClaudioMalagrino Год назад +3

    Daz team should invest more time in animation tools. Exporting to Blender is not an option. The render quality of the exported characters through Bridge is below acceptable (with Diffeomorphic is even worse). Iray to Cycles conversion is messy. So with Iray Render and good animation tools, Daz would be great for the animator. We could have two Daz apps: one Pro and another more friendly-user for the hobbyist.

    Its been a few months and after trying the latest version of Cascadeur I found the Quick Rigging Tool automatically setup the bones but differently to your own setup.
    Can you advise if the default Quick Rigging Tool's setup is correct or your own?
    Also some of the options have been changed or re-named, you may want to update this still excellent tutorial.

    So, who do I talk to about helping Daz be better equipped for animations? I can basically retarget anything from Generation 3 up, but with what should be a straight import, causes explosions. It's something to do with the importing of animations. I can make flawless animations in Maya, but it's the importing into Daz that's the issue.

    As soon as I do the rigging I get the error: "Incorrect parent child hierarchy. Joint neckLower is not a child of joint chestUpper ". In Daz neckLower is a child of chestUpper. If I change it to something different, Cascadeur will accept the rigging, but the character breaks if try to pose it. Seriously, this video needs an update after 9 months now. And it really is a shameless exaggeration to say that importing is a breeze. I'm already failing at the import step, so the Daz and/or Cascadeur team must offer something better. It is not worth using cascadeur to make animations with DAZ characters, I have been using daz for years and there are many ways to make animations that are easily better than using cascadeur, besides the waste of time that cascadeur represents, even blender is a thousand times better when you make animations for video games because you can add many characters at the same time to balance animations among many other things, also in daz you can make the animations
