A much fairer review than Matt's from Carwow - I tend to like his reviews, but as soon as it's a Hyundai, you can bet that it's going to be a negative review from him, regardless of the actual quality or improvements to the car.
I love the fact that Hyundai have built their infotainment screen in to the dashboard and not tried to make it a tablet that looks like an aftermarket add on, like so many other manufacturers seem to be doing. (Although no cowl over the dials might make reading the speedo a little challenging in bright sunlight...)
Just bought one! Hybrid 230bhp, two tone, teal and black roof. Im Loving the car. Great review, very informative and I agree with the opinion, great car, good looking, check all boxes for a fun, pratical, family SUV. Love the good vibes of this review.
@@ltg8382 No Plug in Hybrid in Portugal yet. But, 180hp+60hp eletric is power enough. and the MPG is very reasonable. Got lucky and got one from the "1rst car shipment" to Portugal. next batch of cars... 4 months...
@@carbuyer Did you ear the sound the car makes when running only the electric motor? Hyundai calls it Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS). Inside my garage, or in a underground parking lot, the car makes a sound like a spaceship taking off :D
We have owned the 227bhp Tucson Hybrid for 1 week & we love it. Ours is in Shimmering Silver which contrasts perfectly with the dark trim. The Ultimate has leather seats & both the front seats have electric adjustment. The electric sunroof is the very best. The ride is on the firm side but the seats are so comfortable you don't notice it. When you floor the accelerator the increase in speed is dramatic. This is a great car, much better than the Tucson Go which it replaced. The icing on the cake was a £7,100 discount & the car was delivered by trailer to our home with just 5 miles on the clock.
Just got mine! great car. I used to have the 2018 Tucson and the driving and handling is so much better. The displays are very sharp and I love the safety features. I do feel like it has smaller compartment storage than the outgoing and I wish they kept the sunglass holder overhead.
We love real-world feedback like this. We agree the new one is much better to drive, and the interior is a huge step up - even against new Hyundais like the i20. Maybe we should start a petition to reinstate the sunglasses holder!
@@carbuyer FYI, employees of Hyundai Nosovice Factory (where Tucson for Europe is manufactured) were offered with a survey what should Hyundai improve regarding the new models. The missing glasses compartment was one of the most mentioned :)
I have ordered white 2021 Tucson Hybrid 4x4 Premium Phantom Black roof with leather seats in April. 5 months delivery time. I cant wait. So sad but very excited. I drove only petrol version in april but i was positively surprised. I hope Hybrid will be much better. Love this car 👍
Why does the LIMITED trim lack the wireless android auto and cheaper SEL trim has wireless. It's mind boggling. Hopefully, they can do an firmware update.

Ruairi I want to get the PHEV but do about 200 kilometres per day so unfortunately Diesel is still the best value. Also at the moment diesel is cheaper then petrol in Ireland as you know

Its odd, T3 HYU has been around quite a bit, half the planet seems to have reviewed it. A common complaint was the ride wasn't good or the handling much fun. Yet you had a more positive view of both which is refreshing. I am looking forward to testing one myself as reviews are so subjective. It could be an ideal replacement for my RAV4 offering all the same features, competitive company car tax BIK rates (hybrid) and needing 100mm less driveway length, my RAV4 doesn't quite fit on!

I got this car a few weeks ago from a short lease deal. I couldn't chose it specifically I just chose a price class. I'm also not someone who likes suvs and I don't have a family. So this car seems all wrong for me but honestly I'm pretty happy with it, I came from a relatively recent Volvo V60 (2019 or something, can't quite remember) and honestly I'm not missing anything in this Tucson versus the V60 though the tucson that I got seems to be a bit heavy on the options (as far as I can work out the only thing missing is the sunroof) I never thought I'd like this car but I do. Though I still think it would have been better as a sedan or wagon
Just bought one, 16 week delay but definately worth it. Really did my homework this time, few test drives and this one, in Ultimate hybrid trim beat them all. Move over Germans, the Koreans are on your bumper!
Hyundai's Day Time Running (DRL) light game is really good (ditto for Kia and Genesis). Such a fan of the sharp and distinctive styling. Likely trading in my Mazda CX5 for the Tucson Full Hybrid...the wait times are pretty crazy and I understand there are markups but fingers crossed.

I think it's bland. So many crossover SUVs or basically jacked up hatchbacks. It's so sad that really lovely cars are being axed like Ford Mondeo and Mercedes Benz E63s etc. These cars aren't the same as those and won't be remembered. One day it'll fade away and we will have proper cars again.

Great review and it looks to be a good car - however I still can’t quite work out why manufacturers aren’t selling more MPVs than they are - other than looks: I have a current shape VW Touran which is a smaller car but far more spacious inside. It looks smart enough and is a realistic option for 3 child families when in 5 seat mode with the rear row folded down, as the boot is huge - unlike SUVs like this (only 2 isofix in the back plus a smaller boot). It's also cheaper to run with better aerodynamics and smaller, narrower tyres meaning lighter, better fuel consumption, lower road tax and cheaper tyres. Anyone looking at this review with 3 kids should check out the Touran or the Citroen Space Tourer - long live the stylish (OK, a slight stretch) MPV!!

Lack of instrument cowel, looks rubbish. Lots of glossy black, rubbish. Lack of buttons most of importantly audio volume and station change not a good idea. Honda proved that point. Im surprised that Hyundai would think it's all a go in the interior. With that said its a stunning bit of design on the outside. Nice.

Despite seeing a few on the roads now, neither are growing on me. Hopefully this is a blip as from what I’ve seen, the new Ioniq is next level in terms of design and desirability.

Anyone who is a proper car enthusiast will know this ain't a Land Rover Defender 🙄 and it's not as desirable as a Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Estate which is far better and looks beautiful and sounds beautiful 😍 that biturbo V8 engine and even The AMG A35 and A45s are amazing. Heard it in Bramley, Leeds a few days ago and it's beautiful 😍 so fast, stylish and swish swish sexy styling and the exhaust is sick bruv 😁 I'm like yh man 😁

Best selling car at the moment here in Ireland but with the DIESEL engine Diesel a huge seller here still
Can't even get the diesel anymore over here in the Netherlands. Only 3 hybrid versions, mild hybrid , full hybrid or plugin hybrid.
Nor in the UK - the diesels were announced at launch but have since been removed.

I'm from India and I must admit that hyundai makes one of the best cars. I do have an hyundai Elite I 20 asta diesel 2019 model.

The AC display with the actual screen so far below the plastic surface looks really cheap and nasty.

Heard it in Bramley, Leeds a few days ago and it's beautiful 😍 so fast, stylish and swish swish sexy styling and the exhaust is sick bruv 😁 I'm like yh man 😁
