    I sometimes despair at these reviews with reviewers constantly nit picking. I don't know what they are expecting. The manufactures must be so frustrated with ill informed inexperienced reviewers. Just get on and drive the bloody thing there are very few bad cars these days

    Nobody cares about spare tire anymore which is mind blowing to me. You can be left at the road just because a failed tire and that apparently don't bother anyone.

    Could anybody tell me what are the dimensions (cm) of the padded plywood in the trunk and the height til the flexible curtain from the trunk? I want to have an ideea of real space in the trunk. Best to all!

    After owning a top spec HEV for 15 months and 20k miles I can confirm this is a very nice car. I drove an Octavia before this, following a Passat and an Audi A4. The occasional BMW and Ford in the past. Never thought I would go Asian, let alone Korean. But this Tucson is just great. The off white interior, sun roof, ventilated seats and driving experience are among the highlights. The looks too, but that might be subjective. The HEV combo works fluid and the cars has lots of reserves, even on steep hills.
    Downsides: stupid assists that are ON by default and have to be set OFF with every drive. Lane keeping is the most annoying. Adaptive CC is also bad, the shortest distance is still too long for overtaking without blocking faster cars. I found the solution by just hitting the throttle when the system thinks it has to slow down. But that should not be needed. And the Sports mode is terrible. It changes the predictable car into a nervous jumpy dog without really gaining much in performance. Easy solution: leave it off. 😜
    I can definitely recommend the Tucson HEV.
    Great reviews, OSV. You are the best online resource!

    I can't agree with that it's not that engaging for driving. I have had a several occasions driving it for fun on some curvy back roads and I can say it can be quite fun to drive fast on the corners. That was one of the big selling points, after I have test driven almost all the rivals in that category. After I tested the Tucson, I was really surprised how it handles in such situations.

    I have an Ultimate full hybrid as featured in this review and don’t agree that it can be hesitant from standing. I have only ever had it in Eco mode and as you generally take off using the EV motor, it bolts from standstill like poo off a shovel. It’s a stealth assassin at traffic lights because you just have it stopped on auto hold and then press the accelerator when the lights go green and the other cars are suddenly dots in the rear view mirror. It gets to 62 in 8 seconds, but because of the huge instant torque of the hybrid system it feels much much faster than that. Quickest car I’ve ever had, despite being easily the heaviest as well.

      @ahooper909 Год назад +1

      I have the full hybrid ultimate and its definitely nippy off the mark, it can easily spin the wheels and shock some boy racers. Lovely relaxing car to drive and very quiet at low speed. Love the light grey leather interior. My main concern is the gearbox, revs seem to surge at low speed rather than change up and the paddle shifters don't allow you to change up early enough. I guess it may be that I've previously been used to diesels. The transition from engine to electric is seamless and at low speed often imperceptible, the engine is often coasting in EV mode without you evem realising. I had a 69 plate Q3 TDI previously and the Tucson is definitely better (Q3 had better interior space and boot though). Other big criticism the auto / intermittent wipers even on the fastest setting they are too slow. ICE and dash display is years behind the Audi with the full digital cockpit BUT at least it doesn't lag or constantly crash. Electric boot is quite slow to open on the Hyundai and the beeping and bonging at start up can be a little annoying with safety messages. Also the boot could do with an extra light - there's only one on one side. Great car though!

    The most over rated, underwhelming car I've ever owned. I bought a 2022 hybrid just 2 months ago and I have developed pure hatred towards it, I honestly can't wait to get rid. Ok around town and main roads but back roads its dreadful, vague steering and sloppy handling.
