Denis Curry: Renaissance man

A short film about an extraordinary artist who painted, sculpted and drew animals, birds and people in a multiplicity of ways. His drawing skills were phenomenal but it was another interest that fired him: enabling disabled people to fly without the aid of an engine. While it was by no means his only creation, Denis Curry's ornithopter showed a depth of knowledge with the mechanics of bird and insect flight that energised a lot of his other work.
