Im actually considering to make gatrie my near save on defense. He is the only unit who can use hardy fighter on turn 1, which is really unique for now.
I would say I’m probably going for Claude and ullr. I’ve already refined Claude and Love him. He got one of my favorite effects, sabotage at pretty much an unlimited range, which is awesome. Ullr looks pretty awesome too. I might go for Seteth as well, but that’s just if I don’t get sidetracked.
Legendary Claude's refine is amazing. He brought his new toys to his weapon by inflicting Guard and Sabotage to foes within 2 spaces and it looks like that he transfered his Spd/Def Rein to his weapon refine. Canto 1 on him is nice because he can retreat after combat which you can also give him Flared Sparrow to place Divine Vein Flame in the field as if he's firing fire arrows. Seteth became a good supportive unit with true DR to allies for an F2P similar to Glen has.
I think you overvalued Summer Byleth here. Sure, scowl and 50% damage reduction are good effects, but extremely odd for a unit with paper thin defenses, especially since DR piercing is becoming very common. The refine is good, but not better than Ullr
With mythic blessings and the new sacered seal you can get a decent hp stat while still running watersweep or flash (because V.myrhh has dr shredding) and her combat becomes much safer
Really good overall this month, Gatrie can run Weaving Fighter and hit back with Armored Blaze, Dieck becomes a pseudo-Diamant, SETETH, Byleth becomes a great nuke
To be honest, I agree with seeing Seteth more as an awesome support unit, which can be go even further with Spd/Def Rein Snap and Soaring Echo…but in all honesty at max Investment he has the Stats to run Wyvern Rift and if he runs the Rein Snap Skill or in certain teams he could also make use out of Atk/Spd Excel and with those skills he actually can stack a good amount of in-combat stats and flat DR by himself. If running crux or deadly miasma or Guidance 4 over Rein Snap, he also could use the new Atk/Spd Mastery from Harmonic Nephenee, so at least getting Canto 2 through it. He might not be stellar, but I think his refine makes high investment Seteth users to be able to actually cook with him and his build options. But in general really solid refine Badge imo. And I have no idea, why sometimes we have demote refines like Seteth or Echidna…and then we have ones like Effie, Ross or Mustafa lol…
Really sad they didn't do more for Caellach. One of the big things he lacks is self-healing, and I wish his ice mirror effect would stack with other sources of DR like Hans and Echidna.

Honestly, I'm super glad I never gave my Seteth Arcane Qiang or Luín. Would've felt like I wasted them on him after this refine.
I gave mine Luin but I don't regret it because he needed the other skills I gave him with it anyway

You can actually feel the difference having Seteth now. It's insane how good they did him. Fully expecting a flat dmg reduction counter soon.
One of the best batches in a LONG time. Gatrie and Seteth COOKED. I'd honestly but Seteth on S+ and Gatrie in S above Byleth.

Okay what about, Ullr with Seteth? I know we all look at his deffensive support first but 7 true dmg each hit could help a lot.
