SOLD The Paradise 60 Morning Star is the ultimate voyaging yacht designed for a couple to safely sail anywhere in the world on long offshore passages while spending extended periods at anchor in no-compromise comfort. At the time of her launch in May of 2015, she was appraised at over three million Euros!
She is an incredible custom aluminum ocean sailing yacht is the inspiration of Carl and Sandra Soares. After years of defining their requirements and working through design concepts, the final revision was ultimately drawn by Peter Bosgraaf of Bosgraaf Yacht Designs in Nederland’s.
She was built by the famous Dutch builder of aluminum vessels, Jachtbouw Folmer, who has earned an excellent reputation for producing the highest quality of custom aluminum yachts. Morning Star is a one of a kind blue water voyager that is an incredibly capable ocean-going sailing machine of the highest order.
This is the most Bullit Proof Yacht I've seen! A real blue Water Yacht! Designed by a Yachtsman! Back up systems when needed! AC in the engine room to use at rest to do your maintenance! Wow I love it! Love the Engine Exhaust! No way to siphon exhaust sea water into the engine!
I really thought that was brilliant as well.. he thought of everything!
I realized I had already watched this but still watched all the way through. What a charismatic old guy. You can tell he put a lot of love into that boat.
I don't normally comment on these sales tour videos, but this boat is magnificent.
Mike Hartmann Indeed!!
As do i it is my dream boat mike
Welcome aboard Mike.
Or is it Michelle now.
Get yer eyes 👀 off my boat Budd 😂
A yacht so beautiful she had me blushing. It's usually hard to balance function and form, no matter what you're building, but somehow this boat got both turned up to eleven. Well, maybe 10.5. The only slightly negative thing I could see was the reduced visibility from the aft, something they addressed in the video. My new dream monohull!
Incredibly well thought out boat. You can clearly see the research and dedication they have given to the ease of use, and comfort of the vessel. Seriously impressed with the safety features. I was taking notes!
Thank you all for your comments and compliments to the owner and designer, I'll pass along the acknowledgements! If you're interested in seeing Morning Star in person she will be featured at both the upcoming Newport and Annapolis boat shows.
David Walters Yachts looks like I'll be going to Newport again to see this boat.
That's very well sorted boat! Too often engine rooms are neglected on sailboats. This one was clearly built by someone who actually services equipment at sea.
Agree but at the cost of space .. Very well build for small crew
Well that's this years drooling all taken care of.... wow!
For a mono-hull and to be sailed by a couple, very nice thought through boat. Not for throwing parties! Good! technically almost a marvel, one can feel the owner to be a very logical man.
holy cow, very nicely taken care of and you can see his involvement in getting exactly the design he wanted...
The boat is absolutely beautiful!!! Someone is going to be very proud to have her. The owner is very crafty in how he set her up. I also love his motto, safety first, safety last, and safety always. So true!
Stunning vessel. A credit to the Owner.
A real credit to all who designed ,constructed and fitted out this master peace and the gentleman who signed the Cheque,, A master class act
I'm a marine tech in Annapolis and regularly have jobs at the marina this boat is currently at, on the hard in Port Annapolis Marina. I walk by it all the time but have not been inside. My coworker has installed a fair amount of hardware in it in the past. Its my dream boat, and his lol. Amazing and for sale atm
I'm in love with that engine room.
This level of R & D/ execution sure makes it the proverbial "no brainer" as to how this project manager acquired such a fine vessel. Beautimus!
That boat is really paradise. Seriously. It is beautiful. thank you for sharing. I am dreaming about something like that.
Amazing. The is by far the best mono hull of this size that I've seen. So much attention to detail, I love the safety features. Beautiful boat, would be very lucky to own something like this.
powerball is Saturday nite!..wish me luck!
mrabrasive51 510 million, I would buy this for a friend to travel with me and my new 80' Catamaran...lol Getting away for awhile and getting everything in order without everyone trying to tell me how to spend it or give it to them for this and that!
with 7 hookers on a weekly rotation!
....just drip dry the hookers off the port side
Hats off to the builder/owner, as this is a fantastic vessel!
Real impressive vessel well done well maintained thought out boat great job to the builder and designer i can watch this video over and over
What a great gentleman and so knowledgeable - thank-you!
You really did your homework designing the sailboat. Well done!!
A real dream boat.
Super, the best boat saw in the market, ifI had money it would be mine. It is gold.
Brian and the Bradsters from Delos are drooling :)
a couple more subscribers and Brian and Brad will be calling.
Wow what a lovely boat, looks like you have made her as safe and comfortable as can be, I believe you will be sorry to part with her !
I have been aboard her and I have never been on a boat that is so well planned and laid out. No one builds a boat as well as this anymore. If I just had the money.
That's one amazing piece of engineering! THANKS!
.
I disagree with every negative, or stupid or thoughtless comment below. Wow! Are some people dumb asses! This is an beautiful, elegant ship with significant care and thought put into every square foot. Nurtured not left out in the rain and left to its own. Updated and I would dearly love to own and share with friends such an amazing vessel. Well done sir! I appreciate your work here - it shows for anyone looking easily!
A beautiful boat. I love the clean, uncluttered interior space. Most boats of this caliber have way too much excess built in clutter. This one seems to have everything you need for long journeys, with plenty of space for storage, and maneuverability of passengers.
Watched this year ago and its still #1 boat i seen i always look to see that other boats have a engin room like this one still best boat ive seen yet its so open and big looking a yact maker needs to patten this boat
As soon as I hit the power ball or mega millions lottery I will be over ! But just a work of art ! Beautiful sailboat! Thanks for the look amazing!
Love the owners passion for detail. That engine room is a marvel.
Tons of "WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THAT" moments...
This guy should build his own YACHTS like AMEL...
The sort of craft my best friend Mikey and I would dream about seeing the World in. He passed some time ago.
The detail and consideration to comfort and performance are delightful.
clean and very well maintained,
Congrats on interior design - great to see that bright design.
Carl and Sandra, you have my profound admiration.
WOW!!!!!!!!!! I really have the word's , what a fantastic design and layout.
That is an extraordinary boat.
Captain you thought of everything what a beautiful sail boat. Wish 8 were well off so I could live on this an travel the sea with my autistic son who wants to see the Ocean ... Anyway Dreaming again ✌🏻💗😊❣️
Well done boat and great video. The owner shows that it was a labor of love.
Great boat. Love it. Very thought through
Was thinking of a cat or tri but now, perfection on all points
gheesh...thanks for making me drool & look at a lifestyle I could never afford....way to go David
I've never seen a better designed boat for blue water sailing.
insanely beautiful boat...for now, just a dream...
Super nice sailing yacht... I really dig how u have it set up....
I know this is an older vid but what an amazing and beautiful sailboat
I'd take it from Charleston down to the Abaco's for a while and then head on over to Belize, then beeline for Panama the Pacific and then end it all in French Polynesia.
What a trip it would be.
Awesome boat. Clearly well though out. Seen bigger boats with much less.
Right! Shallow the foresail and pickney the yardarm! A damned worthy vessel to be sure, Gov'na! Tally on with the mainhubbed gib, you've got it reefed more like a Southhamptoner, very good! Yippee, tis a jewel of the southern seas, she is!
Love this boat, a lot of thought gone into it. Very sweet.
Better bring your "inner-Calder" aboard if you buy this boat. Well thought out yet extremely engineering-intensive, all attached to a couples-designed layout. That's a lot of work to both skipper and maintain.
Wow...very well done...come on Powerball..it's a ridiculous 350 plus million..but you need a cruising kitty....
Wow, this is a well thought out couple's boat
I'd buy this yacht just for the engine room.
Yachtsman here. Greetings Earthlings from FLAT EARTH Highlands of Scotland
must be sad to have to sell such a great project.
feel for you man!
He's properbly building a new one right now
Jeez. What a beauty.
Impressed, well thought out.
Totally impressed with your tour and the yacht. There's a lot going on there. I'm hopeful there's a crew somewhere for all the work.
This is how we do it on the Rock!🇧🇲
Absolute engineering highlight down to the last screw.
Sweet vessel! Thank you for the tour! PEACE OUT! Ü
She is beautiful. I love a good sailing vessel. I was born in the wrong place. Not a lot of blue water sailing in Dallas, Texas. Or white water for that matter. 😁 Maybe in 20 years I can make that move.
The fans are interesting, haven't seen them on other boats - open blades, no shrouds, so there must be some safety engineered into them. I like the wash-and-wear heads where you can get everything wet with no problems. Separate shower just gets one all cramped, unable to sit or bend over to wash your feet. The white expanses are very attractive & cleaner friendly.
I love all the rounded corners, or should I say the complete lack of sharp, square corners that will bruise the sailor upon accidental contact. Magnificent is the only word that accurately describes her. She is unique, too, in that her design reflects lessons learned by real adult sailors - the white heads are easy to clean, they are well ventilated, their any-tack drainage removes another worry, and those tall 4" fibs or fiddles or whatever they are will pay for themselves in saved breakage and reduced frustration in no time flat. There must be a fantastic reason for selling, because this boat is a real gem. I forgot to mention all the attention paid to keeping all areas quiet, cool and comfortable, and the safety of the 4 or 5 watertight compartments. Is there a boat afloat with such a thoughtful design? I think not. Too often yachts are built to show off bling, fancy woods, blown glass, etc and would not last three days without two or three staff running around wiping and polishing. Not Morningstar. She is built to live and to sail, on blue water and on the anchor. I'll take it. Oh, damn, can't get the loan. Well, to the lucky new owners, good sailing.
beautiful boat ...thumbs up
No brainer you chose to exhibithis boat. Incredible piece of work. I have to back up to see if you have electric furling. Then it becomes the boat of dreams
Have a look at Elley Grey a grp St. Malo pilot cutter replica from 1896 , delivered 2012 this stunner was built for a couple to sail the world in comfort speed and safety you need to look !
I’m a cat man but you might have just converted me! Great boat!
Beautiful construction
Best captain ever!
wow shes stunning
One of the best i ever seen if I had the money i would have made an offer!
How is this boat still for sale? The sheer amount of effort and detail work that has been done to it warrants the price tag. If I had the money, I’d be over the horizon already...
Wonderful sailboat! Same good view from the engine room as the helmet in the cockpit.
Very beautiful and well built boat. I know you don't need the help but I would love to be a crew member anytime you'd like.
Thanks for the tour of your home.
Why the sale actually 2 years after she was build?
my new home lol, what a boat,
There was no mention whether the stove was gimbled, although I would hope it is. There should always be a video of the boat under full sail to see what that looks like.
Ok i'm going to complain about the available food prep area and those obtrusive refrigeration latches and hinges, other than that err.
Sure, a great boat. But nobody asks the question why a vessel that cost mores than 3 Million € is after 2 years offered for roughly half of it. What's the hook, skipper?
Although a beautiful boat I'm guess it because of view from the cockpit. Who would want a boat that when standing at the
helm all you see is fiberglass. No, really could you imagine a tight marina and 60 plus feet of boat you can't seer ahead of you.
It would be like wearing a blindfold.
@@darrylbeattie737 that's why theirs the remote control for docking with eyes everywhere.
@@darrylbeattie737 You need to watch the video again, there are engine controls at the stern the helm and bow of the boat as well just for that reason.
Right you are @@berg8970... I watch again and have to admit I did miss that. Guess the pilot house turned me off a little although it would be a nice place to hang out in
some ocean conditions wouldn't it
@@darrylbeattie737 I think William Garden had a perfect solution for the center pilothouse/aft cockpit in the Hudson force 50 with it being a little lower/cockpit higher so you can see as well as having a place for skippers to rest. I have to say I love Williams designs so far. Which I could find more like it.
I'm surprised this is still for sale. Even with another price drop to $1.2m? DWY is one of the best brokerages in the US. They'll get it done shortly with that new price point.
As commented, there is competition for those boat dollars. Of course it cost way more than it will sell for; that is natural in a very custom design. For a million bucks many people don't want a boat they want a mansion to show off to guests. Some will be turned off because it does not have separate showers - which is silly, since the heads are very cleverly designed. This will sell when an expedition-oriented buyer comes along, perhaps a family, or an entrepreneur who has a plan to sell arctic experiences, perhaps going around the Horn, maybe an oceanographic university for research. This boat is not designed for fair weather in the tropics, so that whole buyer segment is lost. In any event, whoever buys it will have to be comfortable with that rear deck, or have money to rebuild it.
how often do yu pull glass hull frm watr to gelcoat hull caus of blisters ? maybe evry 2 yrs in nbig boatyard like faro portugal
Love the light interior.
What did she sell for?
Удивительно практичная яхта! Оригинальная.
All that bulletproof bling for cruising and it has a spade rudder......
For the amount of $$ put into this vessel, I would install a high res camera with wide angle lens feeding into monitor at the rear helm. No need to stretch out and hope you can see what’s ahead...
That is a beautiful boat, that would only exist for me in a dream (or after a lottery win.)
"To the winch, Wench!", will always be my favorite nautical-ish phrase!
I love this boat !
Please correct the obvious miss-impression I seem to have. I thought I just saw a walk-thru on a 60 ft Boat that has (only) three single berths. Tell me it ain't so!
Bruce Ruttan - “It ain’t so!” There is a large centerline queen forward, offset double behind the Nav station, and single cabin aft.
What do people do for a living to afford such a beautiful yatch?
Beautiful
Its too beautiful i think imgoing cry
wow what a boat, the only thing that lets it down for me is the accomodation
