This was a PHENOMENAL episode! I am so glad they did not tiptoe around the Seanchan, both in terms of the brutality with Egwene and the more casual 'sing for me' with Loial. Just the total 'you are a thing to me and belong to me, so do this'.
It was excellent and really hard to watch. Might be one of the best episodes of TV all year.
7:10 "... try it again and I'll flay you alive and feed you to your boy."
That's one line that no one has seemed to react to in these videos. That's definitely something we heard that Lanfear actually did in the Age of Legends in the books.
It is a total Lanfear action for sure

I loved the episode but what an emotional rollercoaster. I think Madeleine Madden did an amazing job of portraying the dehumanising aspect of being a damane without the benefit of inner monologues. If this continues i can see WOT being a huge hit. You have a new sub :)

Yeah, this was an episode where I can't imagine a show-only fan setting this and not frothing at the mouth to start reading the books.

You and I could be twins, literally started the series the same year 91 and I agree with your takes and mentality in regards to the show, the show vs the books and how you feel about season 1.
About the only difference is I still have ep5 a little ahead of 6.

I feel that Episode 7 in Cairhien will be where we get the first several chapters of Book 2 in Fal Dara. The Amyrlin has 14 sisters including Verin, Liandrin and Alanna, Suian confronting Moiraine, Suian meeting Rand, and Rand getting advice from Lan before the meeting.
Yes! It makes total sense for them to do it this way. I’m excited for it!
Maddie Madden is one of the best actors on this show. Really, all of the actors are great....This made me so sad.
