Weak analysis. There was nothing in Northern Europe that would attract the Romans. They had enough trouble fighting the German tribes without trying to get beyond them to engage some other barbarians.
This is not true, Britain was the tin capital of the ancient world. There was plenty from the Britons that they wanted. Can't speak for the Germanics however.
