This is SO encouraging. As a member of the body of Christ, we are filled with the Spirit of God and will be victorious in time, making the enemies of our Lord a footstool for Him.
Having grown up believing in the premillennialist dogma - it has taken me a very long time and a lot of grappling with Jesus' Words and OT Scriptures to finally admit that they don't make sense within the structure of that doctrine. HIS Coming in the Clouds in Daniel 7:13 has been weighing on my mind for many years. Yesterday morning I was reading that specific passage again and the very same day I found this video in my feed- Thank You GOD!
“From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you I will fulfill my vows. The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the Lord will praise him- may your hearts live forever! All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him, for dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations. All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him- those who cannot keep themselves alive. Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord. They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!” Psalms 22:25-31
The Problem with too many Bible students is they are not used to dealing with the language of coming w/ clouds, angels, and the sun & moon being darkened etc. Anytime God acted He was said to come.He rode into Egypt on a cloud to punish them (Isa.19). He did not literally ride a cloud, and it was the Assyrians who destroyed them (Isa.20),but this is the nature of Prophetic language. The Medes destroyed Babylon, and it is said the sun was darkened and the world was destroyed (Isa.13:1). God punished Samaria and the prophet said Jehovah came down ,the mountains melted the earth was shaken (Micha 1). Israel was punished by an army ,but the earth was not literally melted. This is called "apocalyptic language" its the language of Old.Cov.Israel. Remember,Jesus was a trained Jew trained in Jewish prophetic thought. The language was NEVER intended to be taken literally. It conveys a thought that a "world" (a people, place & time) was about to come to an end. Yet time and earth was not ending . In Isa.51:6,15, the prophet predicted Israel's destruction and its called the passing of the heaven & earth. When Jesus promised to come on the clouds w/His Angels upon Old Cov.Israel in 70 AD (Mt.16:27-28 Mt.23:30 Rev.1:7) and judge He was claiming to be Deity, when HE promised to destroy Jerusalem He was acting as Israel's Messiah. We should not interpret that language as describing a literal bodily coming on cumulus clouds to destroy material creation. This is a violation of apocalyptic language.
Thank you for the distinction between "resuscitation" as preachers have called it, and resurrection. I've wondered about that for a while. Also, no one ever made a man see or opened the ears of the deaf before Christ.
Ancient peoples had one all consuming concern. Water and Sunshine. Without water and sunshine, no food. No food no life. Everyday was greeted with the need for rain and sunshine. They believed the gods controlled the rain and sunshine. This is why they worshipped the gods. To keep them happy. The gods were the ones who “rode the clouds” and “came with the clouds” and “revealed themselves “in the clouds” The ancient Canaanite god Baal was called “the cloud rider.” In the first century if you claimed you would “come in the clouds,” you would have been understood by everyone that you were claiming to be God!
Question: When we read scripture, is the return of Jesus described as a peaceful event where Jesus is welcomed back to Earth to conduct the Final Judgment and usher in the eternal state by a mostly "Christianized" world, or do we read of the return of Jesus as a violent and bloody event where the Son of God goes to war against His enemies and includes the rescue of Israel (Zech 12-14, Rev 19) ??
holysmokes44 there with you from the time of my conversion, but keep listening and reading your Bible and you will begin to be delighted by how the scriptures reveal these truths without the typical end times gymnastics one must do
I understand how you feel. Keep studying and learning. Coming out of premillennial view was a very difficult journey for me, considering how deep rooted it was. But God's word should always be our guide. Not the system of man. Enjoy your journey, and may truth prevail!
So if the “stars falling from heaven, etc” is talking about the destruction of the temple in AD70, and “they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven” is Jesus’ ascension…why does Matt 24 place the ascension AFTER the destruction of the temple? Just an honest question, hopefully someone can explain.
"Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” - John 18:36 "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption." - I Corinthians 15:50
You have to let scripture interpret scripture, look up all the times Jesus mentioned His kingdom, not just this once. When Jesus said his kingdom was not "of this world" -- that meant not from this world. Jesus never delimited his kingdom to only being spiritual. Rather, it encompasses everything, spiritual and physical. It was from heaven. But, once again, it involves all things in this world and beyond it as well.
@@andinorth1507 Likewise, our understanding of the use of the word "of" here several times: "They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." 1 John 2:19
I know of some that have started following this teaching…one thing I can see about their life is they seem more prideful as if “they” are going to save their children because they do everything the Bible tells them to do and “they” will save the world….the end will not be peaceful it will be something that has never happened before and the Lord Jesus Christ will end it….how can you look at this world and say things are getting better?
Hi. I think I understand Your point. Its not so much pride, its relief and joy because everything really is up to God and we are unable to follow His commands perfectly anyway. God is good. I studied history and it really has never been better than what we have today. We have a long way to go but we are definitely blessed in an extraordinary way. Especially the places where Christ’s name is proclaimed (which changes every few centuries). Have a lovely and constructive day. Lots of love to You, stranger in Christ.
When scripture says the clouds of heaven it is referring to clouds of judgement. In the case of Daniel he overcame principalities and powers, that is, at the resurrection to the father’s right hand. In the case of the high priest however it is talking about the clouds of judgement coming upon the old levitical state and city in 70 ad, it was to come in that generation, of the high priest’s lifetime. Christ does not always come in a personal fashion as he will finally do, at the end of time, when the last enemy death will be destroyed, but in the meantime he comes by means of his mediators, as he came in judgment against the Jews by means of the Romans, in the parable “his armies” and also on Rome by means of the ten tribes in 476ad. These are his coming in the clouds.
I would love to sit down and drink a beer and argue theology with Doug even though I agree with doctorians, but I would not let him know that just to see if I could get him on the edge of his seat. (We baptize babys )that was from one of his debates i watched before I knew anything about him
DOTL - Hebrew and Greek Exact Phrase Verses There have been so many claims, points, doctrines, positions expressed on the Day of the Lord, I thought it would be good to even test my own position against what the verses that expressly stated DOTL in the Hebrew and Greek. I will admit a couple of my thoughts went down the drain. While no damage to my overall beliefs on the issue, there was change. I used the Interlinear to search out the Hebrew and Greek. In the Hebrew the term DOTL is "hwhy ewy" and in the Greek is "hmera kuriou" as used in the Interlinear data base. These are the verses where the exact term DOTL is used: Isaiah 13: 6 Joel 1: 15 Joel 3: 14 Amos 5: 18 Amos 5: 20 Zephaniah 1: 7 Zephaniah 1: 14 Malachi 4: 15 1 Thessalonians 5: 2 2 Peter 3: 10 And those are the ONLY verses it is used in per the Interlinear original language database.
Paul is pretty clear: obey the governing authority for it has been put before us by God. Yet, so many churches today teach their followers to believe that government is against them or some kind of enemy. Its absolutely spinning the word of God to fit their preferred narrative. Faith & commitment is hard work. If it was easy, everyone would do it, as well….there would b no value. Church leaders keep making religious practice easier in order to slow the flow of people leaving. But wouldnt a few true believers committed to the true creeds & practices of faith b better than thousands of ‘im here if it’s convenient….’ ? Sacrifice, even at the top of the spiritual ladder is required to sustain a pure line from history through today. Pastors should not entice people by creating a common enemy out of government amongst their communities.
Maybe you misunderstand Paul. Your argument falls flat when we get to the part where Paul was executed for….disobeying the authorities by preaching and teaching about another King, Jesus.
Herr Pastor Wilson, you’ve probably already figured this out, but “immanentizing the eschaton” was Eric Voegelin, though Buckley popularized the phrase, to be sure. I often think of him as a lesser known Leo Strauss, though there are important differences. Voegelin was deeply concerned about movements that sought to attempt to recreate heaven on Earth, ironically with Postmillennialism and the Reformation at the top of his list. In fact, he termed the latter as “the successful invasion of Western institutions by gnostic movements.” He was wrong, of course, but often wrong in right ways, such as his critique of the social gospel. Tschüß.
OK wait so you say Isaiah 13 is about the king of Babylon and then you state also the Jesus quoted him to prove ti happened in 70 AD so how does this argument work was it fulfilled in 70 AD or with king of Babylon? LOL
@@BuildingApologeticsYea this was in the beginning of the rabbit hole with him and his strange theology I now understand what he is saying that Isaiah was fulfilled in Babylon, However, it ignores the clear break in Isaiah 13 where it goes in to an end-time prophecy, And as if to answer any question on whether or not this is what happened Isaiah 14 which is about the King of Babylon breaks also into Satan and ultimately his end-time destruction I have now listened to so many of his sermons trying to see if the is at all biblical or any truth in it, I found it completely false and borderline heresy. He builds a house of cards with select scripture and ignores much He holds them up with smoke and mirrors
@@victorcritelli5790 what do you think are the biggest Biblical problems for his preterism? I myself am not a preterist, but I am wrestling with these issues, so I would like to know your thoughts
@@BuildingApologetics So Many, Cant list but a few too much time, for one thing, many times they build their case on the fact that pretrib (not premil) is false its not in the bible or debunking some dispensationalist teacher as proof they are right. They act is if premillennial and dispensational is the same thing when most of them know it is not I can get into a bunch like things One thing I want to get out of the way many people try and make it and argument for it all being fulfilled vrs it had nothing to do with 70 AD neither are true, Rather it is both, Remember in the Olivet discourse Jesus was asked 3 questions not one not 2 and this is not by accident However, going to the scripture is a much bigger thing, While there is many a huge one is an Abomination that causes desolation,.They have no reasonable answer for this, Everyone I heard is in no way a fit for scripture One they say its Caligia who wanted to put a statue in the temple but was turned away then was assassinated before he could do it, another is the flags of the Roman army had pagan gods on them so that was it Probably the most popular is they point to Luke saying the armies surrounding IS the AOD Problems In Luke it is not called AOD and In Mathew Jesus spacififcly said WHen you see the AOD standing IN the holy place Clearly cannot be armies surrounding the city Also, 2nd Thess 2 States as daniel does the same the man of sin standing in the temple claiming to be GOD, They claim the man of sin is actually the rebellion of the jews as if that made any sense at all Its interesting in Mathew as well Mathew states as spoken of by daniel (LET THE READER UNDERSTAND) They just can't get past the AOD at all Besides that rev 1:7 Rev 7:2 Rev 12 all the plagues in rev the waters turned to blood and many other things did not happen in 70 AD Or in Matthew Jesus states tribulation that never was before nor after AND if those days were not cut short no flesh would survive COULD not be reduced to exaggeration, I would contend to do so would be unbelief in what Jesus himself said and to do so would allow changing any of the scripture, This si what the Catholics do to make adam and eve into a poem and yada yada Jesus himself warned not to be deceived if they say he came this way or that way and you didn't see, As lightning cames from the east to the west It cant be missed consider rev 1:7 7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. ALso Rev 6:15 15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, LOL the rebuttal I got for that several times was Earth should be translated land, My answer and then? HOW does that change things? But thier partial preterism would make all that up to erev 20 to be fulfilled in 70 AD They have to exlain away so many scriptures to make it work Including they take the Verse This generation completely out of its obvious context to make it mean the people standing there, from there they have to deal with so many other scriptures falsy to keep up with that idea But it was part of a prabale he just said all the sings to watch for, Then He said a parable the fig tree when its leaves get tender then you know summer is near So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. What things the sings just mentioned and go a step further he said heaven and earth shall pass away but my words will never pass away this indicates a lot of time, The very next thing a time statement “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only He goes on to give lessons about this how it will surprise many and varies parable about servent who fall asleep because of the masters long time being gone Paul gives same such reason You are not of the darkness that you should be taken as a thief There is way too much more to type
@@victorcritelli5790 So many errors and mischaracterizations here so I will only address one: You said, "Problems In Luke it is not called AOD and In Mathew Jesus spacififcly said WHen you see the AOD standing IN the holy place Clearly cannot be armies surrounding the city" Uhm, This was referring to when the Roman armies sieged the temple and entered it which Josephus clearly records they did (and other historians substantiate). Saying this can't be possible because the Roman armies wouldn't fit in the holy place is nonsense and nitpicking. Jesus was clearly telling them that the Roman Armies would breach the temple site and even enter the holy of holies which they did and like so many invading nations did before, they pillaged, defiled it and burned it down.
Yes, the tribes of the earth did mourn and Revelation tells us why. They were engaged in lucrative commerce with Israel so when Israel was destroyed by Titus in 70 AD, many nations felt the economic fallout from that (Rev. 18:11-17).
@@victorcritelli5790 Revelation (and all Scripture for that matter) views things primarily from the spirit realm. remember, at the beginning of John's vision, he is told to "come up here" to be shown what happens (Rev. 4:1). Preterism takes this into consideration. Jerusalem being sieged and the temple being destroyed were not small in any sense. This was a huge cataclysmic event with far-reaching implications. To say otherwise is to diminish the horrible suffering God's people went through. Josephus records over one million killed. How is that small?
@@paulv.6040 Paul its a stretch to say all the tribes on the earth mourned, However even If i gave it to you, It would not matter much, I give in to preterist on little things all the time like the year of the writing of the book of rev, It really doesn't matter, Because there is no biblical case that can be made I give leeway here and there you want this stretch ok ou still have nothing You Def cant say, They who pierced him mourned as one mourns for an only child, You def can't say all the king's rulers of the eath hid themselves telling the mountains to fall on us, You def can't say this was the worst tribulation that ever was or will be and if it were not cut short no flesh would have survived, And most of all You Don't have an AOD especially in light of 2 thess 2 And you most certainly can't say the destruction of the temple was Jesus coming in the clouds, Even if I gave you the coming in the clouds as a symbol of Judgement,
@@victorcritelli5790 Whether it is a stretch to say “all the tribes of the earth” can apply to the siege in 70ad or it must refer to something in the future is simply a matter of opinion. You say it’s a stretch. I don’t see why. It hardly makes preterism an impossible interpretation.
Doug is a futurist so he is waiting for some prophecies are yet to be fulfilled. Yet Luke 21:22 says NOPE. But partial preterists live to jump over that passage plus many others. I appreciate a lot he says. But if he is a baby sprinkler he missed the texts don't teach that at all. So he needs a burden message leveled against him. Hopefully I am incorrect in that assessment of Doug.
@@joemajor1156 ONe thing Jesus repeated don't be deceived let no one deceive you saying he came in the upper room the desert what not, EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM, Besides that before this can happen Both Jesus and Paul said the abomination must happen The man of sin must stand in the holy place claiming to be God And how do you get around the book of rev or them who pierced him in Zach and rev?
Just a few minutes in an I've some problems with a couple assertions: 1. "If everything is holy then nothing is holy" vis a vis saints' days. One may be opposed to saints' days, but this is a poor reason. It's akin to the argument that weekly Communion is bad because it makes it too common. In the realm of holiness, sanctification and such, everything is called to be holy. Indeed, this is the great hope, that God will be "all in all," in complete communion with His thrice-holiness. 2. Pastor Doug preaches often about the growth of the Kingdom of God in this world as a mustard seed. One thinks also of the stone cut "without hands" or the great tree that spread out through all the earth, both in Daniel. If the Kingdom of God is going to grow up in this world, in this age, it will do so by overtaking, infilling everything and everyone. That can only ever mean that eventually everyone becomes a saint, every day a holy day, every act one of worship. Were the Reformers so smart to take actual evidence of this and squelch it?
Nobody and I mean nobody would read Matthew 24 as his ascension. This is utter distortion. What are you trying to do here? Isaiah reference to the stars is the end. Have you not read revelation. There is going to be another Babylon. This generation passing away was not their generation! It says the when the fig tree puts out it’s leaves again. That is the generation! You are studied enough to know what the fig tree is. I do not understand what you are trying to do here.
In Revelation 20 it says this, "Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should DECEIVE THE NATIONS NO MORE till the thousand years were finished. So, if you say we are in the Millennium now, that means, according to scripture, Jesus is reigning, and Satan is bound so as not to deceive the nations anymore. Satan is absolutely deceiving the nations; you have whole nations that are steeped in Islam, worshipping Allah instead of Christ. Some nations worship Buddha or one of the 300 million Hindu Gods. Other nations (communist nations) are atheistic. Then how can you say Jesus is reigning already from Heaven when we have a wicked sinful world? 2nd Timothy 3:1-5 it says, “There will be terrible times in the LAST days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God." IF Christ were reigning, do we really think we would have over a billion Muslims, who view Jesus as a prophet right below Mohamad, a billion Buddhists, who believe Jesus was an enlightened person, a billion Hindus, who believe Jesus studied yoga and became a guru to the Jews, a billion Catholics who are entrusting their souls to Mary at the hour of their death, nearly a billion atheists, the LGBTQ running rampant, TV shows and movies, that continually blaspheme God and His Christ, alcohol, drugs, human trafficking, and colleges that have become propaganda mills that promote Godless, Big-bang theology and Darwinian Evolution, and a host of other sinful deeds that will be eliminated during the reign of Jesus Christ, our Holy God. But ONLY during the Millennial Reign is Satan bound so as not to deceive the nations. So, the Millennial Reign has to be different, in fact better than the rest of history. Outside of the Millennial Reign, Satan is not bound, so he is clearly deceiving the nations. This means, in a nutshell, when Satan is not bound=bad times. When Satan is bound=good times, nations NOT deceived. I think you are convinced on preterism whether scripture agrees or not.
What do you do with the scripture Satan is the god of this world or the whole world is under the sway of the evil one. Besides the fact that it is still true, The evil still gains wealth and power, The unsaved are still swayed by the evil one, Man you turn the gospel on its head, Jesus taught us to take the attitude as when he was on the cross ""Father forgive them for they know not what they do'", Both Peter and Paul taught us to submit to evil govts ..Peter said The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. BUT you act as if you are a disposed of king with the right to the govts and the laws, YOu don't want to die as we are told to lay down our lives as Jesus taught us and John showed us in rev, You want to fight, Jesus said my kingdom is not of this world or my servent would fight, YOu want to make ""men submit buy bible or bayonette"", Its an antichrist gospel

It’s in the early history books. Look it up. It all happened. They even used the term “chariots of fire” to describe Jesus coming in glory in the clouds…and they weren’t believers.
I have never seen such a passage. Is it a secret God is keeping from the world? What about "Behold He comes with clouds and every eye shall see Him". How has the world changed? Here is the other thing If YOur interpretation held water you would think the next generation would have also held that belief, But Here Justin Martyr Said otherwise "But if so great a power is shown to have followed and to be still following the dispensation of His suffering, how great shall that be which shall follow His glorious advent! Hah! Futurists always read themselves into the prophecies for that generation not ours. Peter said "the end of all things were near" 1st Peter 4:7 then not in the 21st century. Jesus was dealing with the end of Israel and the temple cult. Another interesting passage "This age or the one that is about to be. There were only 2 ages. The animal sacrifice age and the next age the age of the Messiah. Furturist Eschatology is the biggest plague on the modern church even the post Millennial partial Preterist movement. The destruction of Jerusalem was salvation and judgment. The spiritual kingdom is eternal without end. See the passage in Luke 1:32-33 with the messenger Gabrial declared His kingdom will have no end. The Covenant Eschatology is understanding. Partial Preterists are still hoping instead of enjoying what eternal life is.

For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. 14 Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless; 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation-as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures. 17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; 18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The phrase "coming in the clouds" refers to His activity and judgment in the nations not His second coming. The phrase "Coming in the clouds" is not used of the second coming of Christ anywhere. It used to describe His judgment. Isaiah 9;1 where he comes in judgment against Egypt. or Daniel 7:13 where it clearly says he is coming with the clouds into His kingdom, not his return, the second coming. Mark 14:62 is another place this phrase is used where it is clearly not referring to the second coming. Secondly, the signs in the sun and moon, if you read Josephus there were many signs in the heavens between Christ's ascension and the siege of 70 ad.

Good Lord this is on point! Pay attention my brethren!

One to be shared with future generations
The profundity of the Cross... nothing less than conquering the world!
They will proclaim his righteousness, declaring to a people yet unborn: He has done it!”
Psalms 22:25-31
Amen Doug!
The language
was NEVER intended to be taken literally.
Agreed 💯
Thank you for the distinction between "resuscitation" as preachers have called it, and resurrection. I've wondered about that for a while. Also, no one ever made a man see or opened the ears of the deaf before Christ.
Ancient peoples had one all consuming concern. Water and Sunshine. Without water and sunshine, no food. No food no life. Everyday was greeted with the need for rain and sunshine.
They believed the gods controlled the rain and sunshine. This is why they worshipped the gods. To keep them happy.
The gods were the ones who “rode the clouds” and “came with the clouds” and “revealed themselves “in the clouds” The ancient Canaanite god Baal was called “the cloud rider.”
In the first century if you claimed you would “come in the clouds,” you would have been understood by everyone that you were claiming to be God!
This is great.
I don't know how to feel about this. It's a lot to take in especially because of my premillennial background. Wow.

Excellent!
Coming on the clouds is judgement..
"Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
- John 18:36
"Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption."
- I Corinthians 15:50
His kingdom is an unseen kingdom. You have been taken out of the kingdom of darkness, and been translated into the kingdom of His son.
@@andinorth1507 Likewise, our understanding of the use of the word "of" here several times:
"They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." 1 John 2:19
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
- Matthew 3:2
Does this mean that invisible powers have no influence on the physical world? That is comprehensively unbiblical
Alleluia

DOTL - Hebrew and Greek Exact Phrase Verses
There have been so many claims, points, doctrines, positions expressed on the Day of the Lord, I thought it would be good to even test my own position against what the verses that expressly stated DOTL in the Hebrew and Greek.
These are the verses where the exact term DOTL is used:
Isaiah 13: 6
Joel 1: 15
Joel 3: 14
Amos 5: 18
Amos 5: 20
Zephaniah 1: 7
Zephaniah 1: 14
Malachi 4: 15
1 Thessalonians 5: 2
2 Peter 3: 10
And those are the ONLY verses it is used in per the Interlinear original language database.
Governments have murdered most of the Christians who have been killed throughout history.
If that's not an enemy, then there's no such thing.
Tschüß.
Love it.
Is the “solar system collapsing” about the constellations changing?
No, its more about spiritual authorities being toppled. Its a symbol.
What’s your point?
OK wait so you say Isaiah 13 is about the king of Babylon and then you state also the Jesus quoted him to prove ti happened in 70 AD so how does this argument work was it fulfilled in 70 AD or with king of Babylon? LOL
That's not his argument
@@BuildingApologeticsYea this was in the beginning of the rabbit hole with him and his strange theology I now understand what he is saying that Isaiah was fulfilled in Babylon, However, it ignores the clear break in Isaiah 13 where it goes in to an end-time prophecy, And as if to answer any question on whether or not this is what happened Isaiah 14 which is about the King of Babylon breaks also into Satan and ultimately his end-time destruction
I have now listened to so many of his sermons trying to see if the is at all biblical or any truth in it, I found it completely false and borderline heresy. He builds a house of cards with select scripture and ignores much He holds them up with smoke and mirrors

They act is if premillennial and dispensational is the same thing when most of them know it is not I can get into a bunch like things
One thing I want to get out of the way many people try and make it and argument for it all being fulfilled vrs it had nothing to do with 70 AD neither are true, Rather it is both, Remember in the Olivet discourse Jesus was asked 3 questions not one not 2 and this is not by accident
However, going to the scripture is a much bigger thing, While there is many a huge one is an Abomination that causes desolation,.They have no reasonable answer for this, Everyone I heard is in no way a fit for scripture
One they say its Caligia who wanted to put a statue in the temple but was turned away then was assassinated before he could do it,
another is the flags of the Roman army had pagan gods on them so that was it
Probably the most popular is they point to Luke saying the armies surrounding IS the AOD
Problems In Luke it is not called AOD and In Mathew Jesus spacififcly said WHen you see the AOD standing IN the holy place Clearly cannot be armies surrounding the city
Also, 2nd Thess 2 States as daniel does the same the man of sin standing in the temple claiming to be GOD, They claim the man of sin is actually the rebellion of the jews as if that made any sense at all
Its interesting in Mathew as well Mathew states as spoken of by daniel (LET THE READER UNDERSTAND)
They just can't get past the AOD at all
Besides that rev 1:7 Rev 7:2 Rev 12 all the plagues in rev the waters turned to blood and many other things did not happen in 70 AD
Or in Matthew Jesus states tribulation that never was before nor after AND if those days were not cut short no flesh would survive COULD not be reduced to exaggeration, I would contend to do so would be unbelief in what Jesus himself said and to do so would allow changing any of the scripture, This si what the Catholics do to make adam and eve into a poem and yada yada
Jesus himself warned not to be deceived if they say he came this way or that way and you didn't see, As lightning cames from the east to the west It cant be missed
consider rev 1:7
7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
ALso Rev 6:15
15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
LOL the rebuttal I got for that several times was Earth should be translated land, My answer and then? HOW does that change things?
But thier partial preterism would make all that up to erev 20 to be fulfilled in 70 AD They have to exlain away so many scriptures to make it work
Including they take the Verse This generation completely out of its obvious context to make it mean the people standing there, from there they have to deal with so many other scriptures falsy to keep up with that idea
But it was part of a prabale he just said all the sings to watch for, Then He said a parable the fig tree when its leaves get tender then you know summer is near So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
What things the sings just mentioned and go a step further he said heaven and earth shall pass away but my words will never pass away this indicates a lot of time,
The very next thing a time statement “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only
He goes on to give lessons about this how it will surprise many and varies parable about servent who fall asleep because of the masters long time being gone
Paul gives same such reason You are not of the darkness that you should be taken as a thief
There is way too much more to type
Also, Mathew 24 says all the tribes of the earth ,will mourn right you quoted it This clearly did not happen in 70 AD right so many holes
Yes, the tribes of the earth did mourn and Revelation tells us why. They were engaged in lucrative commerce with Israel so when Israel was destroyed by Titus in 70 AD, many nations felt the economic fallout from that (Rev. 18:11-17).
@@paulv.6040 not really kind of a stretch like most everything in preterism, it was small on the world scale of the time
@@victorcritelli5790 Revelation (and all Scripture for that matter) views things primarily from the spirit realm. remember, at the beginning of John's vision, he is told to "come up here" to be shown what happens (Rev.
@@paulv.6040 Paul its a stretch to say all the tribes on the earth mourned, However even If i gave it to you, It would not matter much, I give in to preterist on little things all the time like the year of the writing of the book of rev, It really doesn't matter, Because there is no biblical case that can be made I give leeway here and there you want this stretch ok ou still have nothing
You Def cant say, They who pierced him mourned as one mourns for an only child, You def can't say all the king's rulers of the eath hid themselves telling the mountains to fall on us, You def can't say this was the worst tribulation that ever was or will be and if it were not cut short no flesh would have survived, And most of all You Don't have an AOD especially in light of 2 thess 2 And you most certainly can't say the destruction of the temple was Jesus coming in the clouds, Even if I gave you the coming in the clouds as a symbol of Judgement,
@@victorcritelli5790 Whether it is a stretch to say “all the tribes of the earth” can apply to the siege in 70ad or it must refer to something in the future is simply a matter of opinion.
What do you think about Luke 21:27? The passage continues after verse 22. If 22 says there were no more future events, when did Jesus come back?
The New Testament prophecies (Eg. Johns Revelation) were not yet written when the Lord said that.

Just a few minutes in an I've some problems with a couple assertions:
His incorrect interpretations, together
with his haughtiness, are hard to watch.
Why this... this.. sounds like "Postmillennialism" and even "Preterism!" ;-)

Peter said "the end of all things were near" 1st Peter 4:7 then not in the 21st century.
Jesus was dealing with the end of Israel and the temple cult.
Another interesting passage
"This age or the one that is about to be.
This is 1st generation Christian, Justin Martyr, Not me. Besides that How do explain away the book of Rev. which was A written after 70 AD and B says Revelation 1:7 7"Look, he is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him"; and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." So shall it be! Amen.
@@joemajor1156 Now 1st Peter Clearly does say 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; Yes it does the temple was the judgment I do not disagree on this>> Not sure how that makes a case for you.2nd Peter 3 Tells another story 3 Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), 2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming?
To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
@@joemajor1156 His kingdom will have no end. I have never said otherwise Nor would I he sits at the right hand of the Father. His kingdom is not of this earth or his servent would fight, As we are taught in the book of Rev. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. AND THEN AFTER
15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”
GOD has always been sorevern. Regardless of the fact that the Devil is the god of this world. He proved this in Egypt He showed this on MT CarmelWe know that But the whole world (the unsaved) is under the sway of the evil one, The people of GOD have always been under Gods Protection or else Isreal would have been crushed early on and many other examples
Victor you aren't happy with the spiritual kingdom.
What CGI Orchestrated picture show do you want.
Every time passage in The Revelation of Jesus Christ has nothing to do with some modern day fantasy of carnal thinking.
Sorry Brother your carnal applications are not theology. They are wishes based on lost thinking. You want the city mot made with hands to be physical. It isn't!
You want to hold on to passages that do not have prophetic fulfillment today.
Plenty of examples today of the same malevolent spiritual destruction because the modern church is now dominated by weak preaching and the idiotic "perhaps today" eschatology.
Have a good day.
Just read Luke and EVEN IF I gave you guys EVERYTHING ELSE< you cant even make the coming in the clouds fit your timeline
In luke, Isreal is first judged and left desolate then after that there is the time of the gentiles, however long you want to make it obvious it's not a few days if you want to say a few years even if I gave that to you,
ITS ONLY AFTER THAT there are signs in the sun and the mood and all that AFTER THAT is Jesus COming in the clouds,
The phrase "coming in the clouds" refers to His activity and judgment in the nations not His second coming.
@@paulv.6040 1st this what You preterist do say, In fact I just listed to RC Sproul talk about it in his description of 2nd thess
2nd It Still does not Matter, Even IF I gave you every Edge, It still does not happen at the time of Judgment in order, Read Luck again, The judgment comes first 1 the destruction of the temple 2 the taken away to the nations 3 the times of the Gentiles, All this has to happen first
I mean unless you want to make Luke a time loop, I will not give you that
@@victorcritelli5790 I was a futurist just like you. What I realized is I was looking at things the wrong way. In order to properly understand (or for us to even have a discussion) on what Olivet Discourse is taking about we have to first agree on what it is is referring to. In order to discuss it, I would need to know how you understand the 3 points you just brought up. We preterists understand the destruction of the temple as referent to 70 AD. the time of the gentiles is the kingdom age we are in now.
@@paulv.6040 So Even IF I give you that the Coming in the clouds is AFTER the times of the gentiles anyway you slice it
I am not going to give you a time loop in scripture
@@paulv.6040 Please make any kind of Sense of it, Paul in 2nd thess is clearly comforting them over a fear of missing the coming of Christ NO
Do You really think they were worried in need of comfort over missing a symbolic coming? Makes no sense and then add to it and our gathering together with him
Then Paul tells them not to worry because there will be a falling away first apostasy right? RC Sproul will say that is the jew rejecting Christ,
Well they did that when they sent him to the cross no? What Paul is going to say to then first this thing that happened years ago will happen?
Paul goes on to describe the AOD, AHad a bunch of guys try and tell me the man of sin was the Jewish rebellion, That is way to far a stretch fro me to give you there is no basis for it AT All
The Rapture of the Church it can happen ANYTIME NOW .
LOL 😜
