- Last week, Alex Murdaugh testified he received permission to install emergency blue lights on his vehicle from then-Hampton County sheriff Thomas Smalls. The former law enforcement leader testified that Murdaugh’s testimony was the first time he heard of the alleged conversation between them, stating it never happened.

This is my dad, a man of integrity he’s been at the hcsd for longer than I’ve been alive. I was at my parents when he received the calls from peers stating his name was brought up about lights being installed. Please thank your father for his service and not caving in to the Murdaugh BS. HE IS A TRUE GENTLEMAN.

That’s an astute observation…but I don’t think we’re as helpless as that and can do more beyond hoping. That’s the hazards of a small town. I live in Houston and I would have to look up the name of the sheriff or district attorney.
South Carolina is where it happened. (The murders) That is the nature of the beast.Where the trial is held.
To get what we hope is a fair trial, the defendant needs to be truthful, which he is not and that is proven.
Alex will now be hoping that the reputation built up by his FAMILY, will want those that remember THEM (his family) and THEIR reputations to defend HIM. The same as an alibi. Possibly lying about where the accused was, to protect them, it takes just one friend, to lie or not recall to fracture a prosecution case.
If this Mr Small, (retired law enforcement officer) had said, l don't recall, l MAY have approved a blue light for Alex's car, it would have been very helpful to Alex's case. Fortunately Mr Small, took HIS own job, very seriously and knew he would NEVER do that and was ardemment. All his own doings.
Please don't think l'm shouting out words either, simply highlighting, like in the good old days🙂

He wanted the trial in County because he could always appeal on the fact that a change of venue would have given him a fair trial. Everything he does is calculated not to win but to appeal.

This trial should be a wake up call for everyone. First, we need to get over the idea of seemingly “normal” people being incapable of terrible and selfish crimes. They are. They commit those crimes everyday. Second, that ego maniac pushed every limit of every situation. The list of his lies and all the skeletons in his closet (which might actually turn into real skeletons bc this guy is off), went on for years! His behavior was ignored and allowed. Maybe if some of these people had actual stepped in and called him out early on in his adult life, he wouldn’t have ended up slaughtering 2 members of his family. He lies about everything and then stutters and tries to get all emotionally weird, but his eyes often gives him away. He is empty.

This is learned behavior. AM, his father, grandfather & no doubt great-grandfather too. Family did known stuff. Intimidated community. Colleagues impressed by his power/privilege. No one could compare his behavior to anything familiar to know he is trouble.
My husband and his brothers inherited a church from their late father. it took two years before the other brothers found out that one had swindled 60 thousand dollars from the church account. This one brother was always charming, expensive taste. But a terrible mess with his own finances. Should be clear, Alex does not deserve to be framed because his son was innocent. “It’s a new rumor” 😃😅😂🤣
Awful thing to say. He's being tried in criminal court, not public opinion court. The jurors have their own minds and should reach a decision after hashing thru the mess thrown at them, not what you think they should do.
@@shirleyashanti3031 I wouldn't say that's an awful thing to say. If I was on a jury and the defendant lied right to me and my fellow jurors, while on the stand, swearing to tell the truth....his truth is no longer relevant. His words are not to be believed. Including his statements of not killing his wife and son. If any juror now hangs this case....the probability that they have been tampered with is pretty high.
@@kevinthurston2216Tampered with,is a strong possibility. There is a guest on Surviving the Survivor (you tube channel ) who said the email the judge received was related to 1 or 2 jurors knows the Murdaugh family and 1 made a comment (I don't know the context of)but I found it interesting to say the least.
Has anyone been keep track of the number of lies he's told through out this trial? How does someone get like this?
Amazing how Alex is all relaxed and smiling today!!!
Look how he is looking at the gentleman on the witness stand?😡😡😡😡
AM should be brought back to the stand (which can be done since his lawyers have already made him available) & confronted with each lie. If so isn’t there a way he can be charged with lying under oath?
Why?? He has 2 consecutive life sentences wiithout Parole.
So that means 3 things!!! !) He will die in Jail. 2) He will NEVER ADMIT that he murdered his wife and child. 3) He will NEVER PAY any of the millions he stole off all those innocent people???.
He Lied Under Oath on the stand Because he knows how to lie to jury because that’s his field and career by knowing how to speak and talk to jury’s in a court case and he’s a professional lawyer in that department and that’s perjury
Alex knew Paul may cut a deal with the prosecutor about all of his dad’s criminal activity and Maggie was getting ready to divorce him so both people had to die. I just hope the jury doesn’t blow this one like they did with OJ.
Don't forget Casey Anthony.
His lawyers have to hate him. Making them look like buffoons. 🤥
Love this guy! “Pretty much married…”😂
Guilty as charged, your honor!!
AM lied so easily. He even lied about running from Paul to Maggie. Online sleuths worked out how you could hear AM sitting in his car & can hear echo of speaker phone as he called 911. He then gets out the car & stands there while talking to 911. He never went to their bodies bcos he didn't want the phone to cut off or see what he had done. You can hear the distance of dogs as soon as police arrives & he moves closer.
Imagine lying about LIGHTS in a murder trial. he lied about everything in his life so lying about murder would be obvious
This man can tell the truth to save his life .smh. I really believe he is guilty
Some people can look out their windows at night and see no SNOW on the ground, then go to bed and wake up early in the morning to seeing a foot of Snow on the ground. Some of those folks will seriously doubt that it Snowed last night, just because they didn't see it happening. Everyone isn't on the same level of intelligence. Some things will go over the heads of some folks, while others will be five steps ahead of the game. Alex is a master manipulator who knows how to size up a person at first glance. He has picked a least one person who still doubts that it Snowed last night. Hopefully the rest of the Jurors will show that person the light.
1 ) His wife was going to divorce him, he would lose (money) in a
settlement.
2 ) His son had a possible financially devastating law suit coming up
that could cost 30-40 million USD. He loves money more than his
family. Add all of the other financial thefts and deception, led him
to make a fatal choice regarding his wife and son, they had become
dispensable liabilities. Sad choice.
3 ) His wife and son confronted / maybe threatened him about “the
pills”. Overall, his life was imploding and he lashed out.
The defense attorneys sound like rookies. Their entire defense is falling apart. Of course, it doesn’t help when your client lies on the stand.
You're killin' me, sheriff.
😂
😂
I got it!😜
I saw what you went and done there. Sure did.
Geezus… AM can’t stop lying.
The dogs would have warned Paul to get protection if there were strangers in the area ,you ever seen a dog react when someone strange is wandering around
The witness said "Paul, was killed with someone comfortable".!..
