I had NO that you’re THAT Reggie (mentioned as creator of recipes on FujiXweekly). I just LOVE the Reggie’s Portra recipe! Thank you so much for your efforts and for sharing!
This might sound like a silly question but do we leave the White Balance as auto? I know it shouldn't make a difference but thought I'd check. Great recipe as always 😁
Actually, I did some quick tests and this works incredibly well on the pentax K-1 as well. You have basically the same settings, both cameras being made by Ricoh. I can't say if the rendering is exactly the same but you get a great B&W look with these settings.
@@Reggiebphoto absolutely, I'm going to set it up now ... Question: I shoot with the GR3 and I use the built-in square format 1:1 ratio ... Do I lose quality in my images if I do this or should I just crop square with the native format?
Judging by what you can see by pointing the camera to a colorful scene, or by pressing Fn button when selecting the filter effect, they probably go like this: 1 is green filter, and the rest is warm color filters gradually increasing towards red, such 2, 3, and 4 being yellow, orange, and red, respectively.
Thanks Reggie I was waiting for this one! Can you explain how you get the menu from the command dial? I have image control on fn at present but just can't find this option
wow what timing. I was just thinking about getting the Ricoh GR then you just magically posted this video! Question for you Reggie. I have two XT-3 for wedding work. Should i get the X100 or Ricoh GR for personal use/travel/street photograph? Thanks.

Since they’re fixed lens cameras the beauty is you can pick whatever you want for personal.

Sweet! What do you set the white balance to???
It’s set to auto.
@@Reggiebphoto Any variation (A6, etc.) or just AWB?
@jackpatmoreinc for black and white it doesn’t really matter.
Between the Ricoh GR III and the Ricoh GR IIIx, which is your favorite?
plz add to richies recipes like the other!!
Tell him lol
Can the wb be set using a wb card?
I don’t know. I’d refer to the manual for that one
You lose to many information in the shadows in my opinion
if that's what you're going for than just adjust the recipe to reduce the contrast and increase the shadow dr
