The first two Gengars are awsome because of the whole "anyone can cook" vibe
I was very fond the tinkercad one because of the Minecraft/ Roblox vibe.
Aren't there only 2 Gengars? 😂
I appreciate your positivism. Thank you for believing in me
I will always believe in you, I live to emulate Mr Rogers.
I think Nomad sculp might be the most underrated tool I've never heard of, thank you so much for this recommendation!
You're very welcome
Good job bro. # 3 is bad ass in comparasion to the others since Nomad provides for a more realistic finish. Great job in pointing out the progressions of easily acquired softwares to create. I'm not new to CAD and 3D editing, but I'm new to 3D printing, so this was defffffff a good quick tutorial bud.
Hey Roy, thanks for the great encouraging comment. It's funny, I've been doing CAD since 1992 and 3D since 1998 and wish I had the tools we now have back then but it's great we have them today. I love 3D printing because it feels like the culmination of everything we have worked for all these years, from digital to physical.
Really great tutorial! Just getting started with the 3D printer stuff with my 10yr old son, and this is the best intro video I've seen so far as an intro to creating 3D prints.
Thanks for the positive feedback, check out a more recent video I did with tinkercad making cake toppers. I've been doing 3D for more than 30 years (showing my age) and I have come to understand that not everyone is like me so I really recommend tinkercad for anyone that wants to get started and gradually move up to blender and beyond. Here sending you and your son best wishes in your 3D journey together.
This tutorial deserves way more likes
I'm curious, what did you like about it?
@@gordograppler I really liked the blender part
Tried using blender and my first outcome was… but I will get better eventually.
It can be intimidating but that donut series is a huge help.
thank you!!! 😊😊😊
You're very welcome
great video, genuinely nice quick but in depth look at a few different types of sculpting tools, and great message too. love the positivity and good vibes!
Good vibes to you too, glad you enjoyed it.
this channel deserves more
Your kind words are enough for me, thank you.
Thank you so much I was looking for tutorials for hours tysm
You're very welcome.
Great, informative video! Been printing a few months and I'm doing pretty well with Tinkercad. Your video is a good road map for the next steps I need to take. Blender IS intimidating, but I'll give it another shot. Thanks for the info!
Yeah, I mean you can always play around and just restart, blender is freaking awesome.
They all look great!
Thank you, I thought you looked familiar. I have been to your channel in the past and I like what you’re doing there. Cheers, friend.
@@gordograppler Thanks! I just started looking into learning 3d modeling. I think it will help me with designing more complicated things as well as create wood working plans. So far my channel has been very much "trial and error".
Would the programs you mentioned also work for making 2d plans along with the 3d model or is that more of an auto cad thing? ...or is something else better?
Try sketchup, it has a free web only license and it’s perfect for woodworking, I use it all the time to plan home improvements.
@@gordograppler This is a huge help, Thanks!
thankyou sir it was very helpful love form India💝❤
Love ❤️ to India back, I appreciate you watching my videos.
As my only goal with 3d printing is printing RC builds, Blender would be my best bet mainly due to measurement info provided.
Honestly look into plasticity or fusion 360. Fusion 360 is free for non commercial use and plasticity has an indie license for 100 dollars, they provide some amazing solid precision modeling tools.
Thank you for the video 🙂
Thank you for watching.
Just downloaded the Nomad Sculpt. Exited to try 3D sculpting.
Dave Reed on RUclips has fantastic tutorials, have fun.
@@gordograppler - Thanks for the recommendation of Dave, will check him out.
really enjoyed this! Thanks :)
Hey I'm really glad you did, thanks for the kind words and for subscribing.
Great video. I'm about tapped out looking for 3d prints on the free sites, not ready for paid sites just yet. I'll try out tinkercad and I missed with nomad sculpt but not in depth. Your video popped up just in time Great work.
Thank you, I appreciate the comment.
Sorry, but Tinkercad seems to do its own thing. I tried the code blocks and get a lot more done.
I have not tried that feature yet, tinkercad as the name implies requires tinkering and yes sometimes it can be finnicky.
@@gordograppler It is straight graphing like in algebra class save that there is the Z direction. You have primitives' you can use, rotate, mirror and do other functions with to create what you want.
Nomad gengar is cool
Thanks
Hey thank u for the video!!! And what kind of paint do u use for colouring ?

The first is my favourite however the last is the ultimate the only reason I chose the first one is because at least Game Freak won't go after you! Awesome tips though, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it.
You also can use references inside Nomad
I have tried but is kinda like placing a background image unlike blender where each reference can be its own object.
@@gordograppler you can use different image for each view) but you right, in blender we have planes with refs😊
I'm trying out this iPad app, valence 3D, I freaking love it, it's the closest thing to blender on an iPad or even iPhone.
Wish you could explain better how to use blender for 3d printing
Thank you for the suggestions.
YOU SO DOPE!
No, you’re so dope.

I joined tinkered yesterday and completed there tutorial in a few mins I found that simple great stuff. but I can't just send that to my printer can I ?
If you click on the export button, there is an option to export stl. If you have a creality, you can download the Cura slicer, setup your printer profile in Cura and once that's done just drag the stl into Cura. I am working on a video that shows how to import into bambu studi, I'll include Cura in that video as well.
@gordograppler Thank you. So I hit export then send to the slicer ? There's a slicer installed in the creality software. And the final print software too. So why would I use cura? I seam to be collecting a list of various apps or webpages galore. I just want to be able to draw my designs then cad them in terr height thickness etc then have them printed. It csnt be this complicated surely
Creality slicer is a fork of Cura, I used Cura for my creality ender 3 so that's why I suggested it. Your printer read and prints off gcode and the slicer converts a mesh like an stl into gcode.
@@gordograppler Thank you for explaining
does it also work well with bambu labs printers ?
ruclips.net/video/YPwDXirFHPU/видео.html that's my latest video and will walk you through exporting and printing this in orca which is similar to Bambu studio.
What brushes and paints do you use?
This video I go over all my supplies: ruclips.net/video/gQ3WqF8sshs/видео.html
@@gordograppler awesome, thank you very much!
What paint did you use? not the airbrush, the next one. I want to repaint my TOMY TAKARA pokemon, not the matte type. the shiny one.

how do you know what size it will come to once printed?
I'm working on a video about bringing it into the slicer. Blender does not use real world units unless you set it that way but what I do is once I bring it into the slicer I set the height of the model in the slicer. 25 mm = 1 inch so 6 inches 150 mm.
How do you know when to make the model hollow?
Anything structural should have some sort of infill, but these are show pieces and can be hollow. Making them hollow on FDM will shave off some printing time.
Hey, could you show us how to bring a Blender model to a 3D printer? I am familiar with modeling in Blender, but I can't seem to figure out how to scale my models to real-life measurements and how to print them in the end.
Ok I will keep that in mind, what slicer do you use?
at 4:50 how he got that menu
Click shift + A.
but how did you save that design then send to your printer ? I am interested in a Creality cr10 printer
Printing files are STL files; this is a 3D file that the printer can understand. You load the model into the printer either by connecting the computer with a cable to the printer, or via Bluetooth or a memory card.
I somehow locked my turn and move so i cant do that and idk how to change it😅😂
If you press the Cardinal direction, x, y, z it locks it. Just press esc and it will unlock.
U didn't explain how to get it from the software to the 3d printer..they all tske different files. My creality needs to use its software..do we load it into that first I mean come on man
Thanks for your feedback, you can watch this video where I show how to print ruclips.net/video/vpEptf-0Ly8/видео.html.
@@gordograppler I personally found this video helpful dude. The commenter could have been a bit nicer with his feedback than sounding annoyed when you’re already providing help to him. He can easily search the rest if he wanted to online. Kudos to you man appreciate it 🎉
@@NoypiBoomBoxtotally agree. Especially because the video is about building the 3D file itself. One of the most helpful videos.
Are you actually stupid?
I don’t know
What slicer are you using on your iPad? I’ve found pikaslicer but it costs £3.99 a month subscription to use 😢
I don’t slice on my iPad, I use Bambu studio on my PC. I transfer my files via Dropbox to the PC and slice there.
