Your wrap is lovely. I wish I could pull off wearing that style but with by body type I can’t. You are very blessed to have your great little figure. You always pick the projects that are perfect for you.
Thank you! It's been a learning curve to figure out what projects I'm going to both enjoy making and wearing, but I feel like I'm getting there in figuring it out now!
Love your Wrap. You styled it nicely with the grey tee. Still trying to finish my Christmas cast on…has been a scorchingly hot summer and holding a sweater in my lap was not possible. 😊
I do agree that the bunching isnt the best, but I think there could be other issues if i move the snap. Like it not fitting as well, and it would be a bit uneven as one side would fasten under the sleeve and one wouldn't anymore. I also dont know if that would lead to more bunching on the side with the tie? Im going to try it a few different ways to see what gives the best, and most comfortable result🥰 I absolutely love the way the two shades look together!
Love your Levitate Wrap version! That color is stunning 😍 And Drops Daisy felts in the washing machine! I put a colorwork sweater last Christmas just for a spin cycle and OMG! It felted competeley, I was devastated! So after that experience I’m not putting that yarn in the washing machine 😅
Thank you❤️ Oh no, that's tragic!! And colorwork😭 I've heard multiple stories of it felting on just a spin cycle🥲 I've never had any other drops yarn felt (unless I've tried to felt it) Why is Daisy so very feltable?!🥲
@@norwegianknitter I know right 😔 One good thing is that it doesn’t pill a lot! It pills much less than Sandnes Garn Double Sunday. Overall it’s an amazing yarn!
Yes!! It's amazing to knit with, and i can't wait to get to wear a all over daisy sweater soon so I can feel that! I live the yarn! Fingers crossed, it won't felt more😅
For the daisy felting issue.. have you ever tried a delicate bag? put the wool stuff inside a mesh wash bag or delicate bag whatever it's called and it will keep it from banging around in the machine so it should keep it from felting. I always use it for my wool socks and sweaters in the wash.
Your Levitate is gorgeous and fits you really well - you were right to size down, I think something like that with waist ties needs to be fitted at the waist as you have worn it. I think you are right that moving the snap could make it loose and then you will lose the shape you have - the bunching is only noticeable when you pointed it out, and it is probably just because there is more fabric at the back than the front. I think you should leave it as it is for a while and see how it feels, or pin it at different places to see if you like it before moving the snap (they are horrible things to sew in so you don't want to do it more than once if you don't need to!). I don't blame you for wanting to be outside in the sunshine with your family - plenty of time to weave in ends over the dark winter!
Thank you! I'm really happy I went down in size! I totally agree that something that ties in the waist should be fitted! I'm leaving the snap and tie as is for now. If it bothers me, that will be extra motivation to fix it. If not, no need to change anything. I'm going to cherish all the sun we get now! I know we have long dark months ahead😅
Olena, you might want to try Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk as an alternative to Drops Kid Silk. I'm knitting a baby hat with Drops Flora with Drops Alpaca Silk and I love the results-the hat is so soft. Cheers-Laura
I have tried drops brushed alpaca silk! It's really soft and I like it, but it far to thick to replace drops Kid Silk, it's about double the thickness. But I've used it instead of double stranding Kid Silk before!
OMG I remember those times when my boys constantly changed their mind about what they love. Best not to plan/buy anything in advance because by the time you gift it it's not their thing anymore 😩😂
He changes his mind so quickly😅 I have no chance keeping up😂 Luckily the tractor we have it red, and I think we'll be able to convince him that's the best tractor😅🤞🏻 But planning ahead for knits is getting harder and harder..
Dropps Daisy can not handle being washed in the machine. It is none super wash and has to be washed by hand. I used it for my champagne cardigan and only wash it by hand. 😊
@noamleora Yes, it seems like it can't handle it. I know it's non superwash, but I use a lot of non superwash and have never had a problem washing non superwash in the washing machine before😅 Seems like I'll have to learn to wash by hand for everything made in drops Daisy though
@noamleora I think you're right! I have been able to wash Knitting for Olives merino and Sandnes Garn Double sunday and sunday in the washing machine, but drops Daisy seems to be very sensitive

Thank you! I hope fall brings you colder weather, so you get to finish your Christmas cast on!
Oline - I would move the snap. The bunching makes it look sloppy and detracts from the design and the knitting. I love the color combination!

I’m not brave enough to put my knits in the machine! I’d love to know what settings and detergent you use etc to avoid them all shrinking/felting!
My washing machine has its own setting for washing wool, 30°C and 800 spins. And I just use regular wool detergent (Milo)

I've never tried that! But that's a really good idea! I'll try that out to see if it makes a difference❤️

I weaved in all the ends on my Cloud sweater (Drops Alaska, 15 balls…!) while I watched this episode 😊😂
Yay! Good job! Can't wait until me and my friend both have time (and space on our needles) to cast on Sweater No20 and try out Alaska!
❤️🌈

Hello, your levitate wrap has a wonderfull colour but I had a look at different versions and would choose a tighter fit for me because I am small
Hi! Thank you! The Levitate Wrap is stunning in a tighter fit too!

@norwegianknitter I think Merino wool is much more sensitive that some other hard wearing wools. I personally wouldn't take a chance.

@@norwegianknitter wow! You are braver than me! I even wash my pure silk by hand 😬I'm so scared of stretching my knitwear
Brave/Lazy😅🙈 Ive been maning to learn to handwash, I guess this is the push I needed
