I think using the 15 card mod makes sense in terms of getting videos out - saves a ton of time grinding for single cards. Might be worth seeing what the community thinks about you using the mod all the time.
I wish more challenge runs were done like this. Dark Souls, Kingdom Hearts, Skyrim, just cc the item needed for the playthrough and legit start with the first enemy I don't wanna see the lead up to the item I picked up a thousand times and switch to my main then and there like always
I don't think people are going to object to using mods, this is Forbidden Memories after all.
@@OoToxiToxioO Totally agree. Unless the challenge is "This is my first playthrough and I'm doing this challenging thing" - I might prefer to see them struggle first time. If it's something they've played a ton, why not make life easier?
I mean all it does is get the video out faster it’s not like it gives him anything he wouldn’t have anyway
@TrueBladeSoul nah in some Fallout or Elder Scrolls videos like MittenSquad he would go through the game until he got the item he needed avoiding confrontation and progressing quests like vanilla which is tedious after a while. I'd rather the required item(s) be spawned in immediately, might even break the game getting another copy of it

I love the that the theme of Pegasus' duel was eyes without any planning from you. You attack with Hitotsu-Me Giant (One-eyed giant) and win a Meotoko (Eye-guy), then steal his Millennium Eye. This duel was a real eye-opener!

My first ever Yu-Gi-Oh card.
Between the references, the editing, or the damn genius Stan letter, I don't know what I love more.. Top tier content, honestly.
Also, 15 card mod for farming is a good idea IMO anyone who actually beat FM knows this game is grindy and hard without type limitations, and the ungodly S-TEC farm takes forever even when you know what you're doing.

I still can't wait for the pyro run, sense i tried desperately to make an all fire/pyro deck work back in the day, but there just wasn't any good support for it back then. And we're talking back in the day, as in Jinzo was brand new, and a must have for nearly every deck lol
@@jasonrustmann7535 Trust me on this, you DON'T wanna do a Pyro run. I leisurely gave it a shot, and while possible, you end up having to bank on either Vermillion Sparrow, or Flame Cerberus, not even mentioning the sheer volume of equips you need at once just to have a safe run. I consider myself lucky that I did the final 6 on my first attempt with Vermillion + 2 megas and 2 salamandra (the pyro-like bright castles) against the final Seto, and I claimed a Sogen just to nullify the starting Umi for the Ocean battles, got lucky and had it in my starting hand both times on attempt 1 (had 1 copy didn't bother duping it)
Also, as a way to make it more convenient to skip grinding, I have a main save where I collect all the cards, but refuses to put in the run save unless I can pull a win w/ the proper ranking or if they are possible starter cards (like beating Pegasus once in A-S tech to "allow" megamorph/Bright castle, or waifu's BCD for the widespread ruin, and so on, same for Monsters)
I always felt throughout Yugioh's entire lifespan, Beast Warriors was always criminally slept on (Along with Thunder and Fish). They deserve so much more love imo
Gladiator beasts and lightsworns probably slowed that ship right down!

I know this might seem minor, but Thunder type monsters are compatible with both Umi and Mountain.

Also feel free to use the 15 card mod, even during regular duels.

As for the 15-card mod: You'll get the cards you need eventually, so you may as well make use of it.

my favourite bit of Beast Warrior trivia is that Hitotsu-Me Giant means One-Eyes Giant in Japanese, which you'd think just means it's a weird translation of the Japanese name of the card. Nope, the Japanese name for Hitotsu-Me Giant is "Cyclops", not a word that translates to Cyclops, literally just the word "Cyclops" spelled out using Japanese Characters, meaning that the English version of the card contains Japanese words for actually zero reason
A ton of old Yugioh cards are like that. Raigeki's probably the most memorable example.
Peakock is the funniest card in that category, its a literral peacock

This series has me wondering if a completely magic deck run would be possible. In theory you can fuse magic cards for monsters so it has legs? Doubt it thought haha.

I wonder. When all types are done eventually, I don't think it is possible even with the 15 cards mod, but it would be interesting to see an attempt to do a "no monster loss challenge".
Something like, if any monster card is being destroyed by an opponent monster card or by any means other than fusions or rital summons (e.g. Dark Hole, Trap Hole, such cards), it is considered to be a game over.
Gosh let me try a Nuzloke first before that (cards have perma death)
15 cards is fine. The reason people watch is for the challenge with the restricted deck rules, not the grinding aspect. As long as you talk about the drop rates there is no difference.

I especially enjoy when you give trivia and how you flavour the story of the game each time! I personally think it's fine to cut down on the grinding time with mods whether you have to work a lot or not. Also as a side not generative AI and especially voice AI is ethically questionable and as a voice actor myself, I'd prefer if you didn't use those in your videos, I think the bits you write are funny as is and a scuffed impression or regular delivery would work just as well if not better!

As a fellow voice actor, I don't personally have a problem with them in his videos, since they make his life easier and mean that we get more videos, sooner. Besides, it's not like he pays anyone to do voices on his videos anyway. Also, 'ethically questionable?' What ethics, out of curiosity?
These AI models are trained on people's work without consent or compensation. Whether that be art, voice acting, music etc. I just think it's not great to be using tools sourced from exploitation/theft. Not to mention that the person whose voice gets mimicked doesn't get to consent and the only party that usually receives payment in this arrangement is the company providing the AI trained on already stolen work. That's why I think they're ethically questionable, hope this helps.
This is really good insight! I was on the fence about using the Voice AI, though it set a tone for certain areas it doesn't translate nuances & sarcasm too well. I 100% respect the work that goes into voice acting, i will agree that it's not simple - especially accent dampening and pronounciation training. Aussie accents seem to be kryptonite for these AI, so i don't think i'll be using them going forward for that reason alone😅

I discovered this channel recently because I’ve been taking a liking of watching Forbidden Memories challenges and one type deck speed runs.
Your content is pretty creative and you have a knack for funny plots in relation to the monster type challenges.
It’s also interesting learning the card trivia and looking back.

@@Jon_Oh honestly it's refreshing to watch your videos. I remember this game fondly cause it was one of the 4 ps 1 games my grandmother had at her place for my brother and cousins to play. We would always play this and see how far each of us would get into the game. We were all like 11 to 7 so we didn't know mechanics or anything instead just scribbling on paper what fused and no clue why haha.
