    Keep making these in depth tank interview / tours. Great B roll, real reefers tanks (not just insta bling) and good questions. I appreciate how you don’t edit the conversation down to sound bites.

    Really like the lighting color/spectrum - it makes the fish pop... Is that the T5s - or do you use color filters for the b-roll shots, or...?

    • @TopShelfAquatics
      @TopShelfAquatics  8 месяцев назад

      Those T5s !! They make the fish colors truly pop. I do all color correction in camera when I shoot!

    I started with a juvenile Emperor Angel and as it got bigger it got a taste for my LPS and some SPS. You have a nice tank, so I wouldn't chance it.

      These fish are all individuals and act that way! Good to hear anecdotal experience from other reefers.

    Great interview. Would love to know about biggest challenges. We all have them. The solutions are interesting. Didnt here much about fish QT. Curious if he does QT?

      @TopShelfAquatics  8 месяцев назад

      Will have to ask him! I know as far as QT he does not perform one currently. Thanks for stopping by the video, and appreciate the comment!

    The tank is beautiful!! But I have to ask, is that growout tank underneath really for growout, or is it actually a mini tank for the cat? 😁

      I like where your head is at LOL! We can just say it's the cats grow out tank! Thanks for stopping in!

    I have an Emperor in my 320 sps reef but I do have some lps as well. No issues. Put him in as a juvenile and now he is 6 inch adult. Also have a pink tail trigger but I wouldn’t trust him with clams.

    You deleted my comment asking about the stand and canopy in this video after I contacted Top Shelf via email inquiring about the cabinet maker who built them and got no response... Is there a reason why...?

    • @TopShelfAquatics
      @TopShelfAquatics  7 месяцев назад

      If it was deleted that must’ve been on accident, the stand and canopy was built by his own builder! Did his kitchen as well as this set up, we provided the system and all the innards/setup

    Love the questions , but can you do these videos with like 10 minutes of top down slow shots of the tanks. Know one really wants to see you two sitting on chairs. We tune in for the tank shots. half the videos are spent watching you talk and we can hear you just don’t need to see you

    • @TopShelfAquatics
      @TopShelfAquatics  9 месяцев назад +2

      I’ll have to make sure to get more top down shots in the future tank tours I take. Appreciate the feedback, never can be enough shots of the tank it’s true!

    Great tank, but its always the same with these large tanks. Tons of acro and sps, just a bunch of colored sticks and fish. Throw some acans on the sand. zzzz
