10:23 Is that Nucar OBD scanner really battery operated? The ones I have experienced with use the 12V pin from the OBD socket, which provide power from the 12V car battery. Pretty much like Bluetooth OBD scanners do. The Autel ones, with the larger screen and a more powerful SoC and Wifi, really need their own battery. Love the hustle and your focus! Cheers from Portugal.
Nice deal on the MuCar scanner, but I had bought the lower version when you offered it last year! Should I jump on the Pro model? I had paid to upgrade the previous version to add the airbag and antilock brakes software - that was an additional %30. Any idea if this PRO model includes all modules or do I need to alsp pay for additional upgrades? Appreciate the advice! .
So here in NH, the age of the vehicle doesn't matter for the monitors? From what I found online if it was newer then a 2008 you needed all 8, but I could not find NH specific.
My son has an 06 Impreza with a small Evap leak. For the last two years, I reset the codes about a week before I plan on taking it in for inspection. And when all but the Evap monitor are ready I get it done.@@FlyingWheels
Its a NH car, every car in New England has a rusted undercarriage. Paint job isn't fantastic I agree but its clearly visible to anyone trying to buy it.
Craig, great video! I mentioned this on your last video but one thing to note is that you have to verbally say that your video is sponsored by whatever company is sponsoring you. There have been people in the past whose RUclips channels were deleted for not disclosing that it was a sponsored product. I just want to let you know
Sure it will. If the wheel is off center, the steering wheel sensor will be off. Align the car and recalibrate steering wheel sensor. Then clear codes.
On your question about the Corvettes, I would prefer the C7. I think they look awesome and I personally think the Corvette should be front-engined. I think it's wrong that the C8 is mid-engined. Corvettes are the front-engined sports cars. They should have made a new model for the mid-engined car.
As cool as some of them are, this video is a perfect example of why I’ll never buy any Chrysler products (unless I hit the lotto, then I’d consider a Viper or two)
Do I understand this correctly? When you sent the keep to the dealership they told you one of your heads needed replacing? And the problem was a simple evap leak?
The lifter was replaced by the dealership for $3200, of which the customer paid $1200. That fixed the CEL coming on. The second CEL was due to the evaporative leak, that Craig fixed in house.
I have been in the car trade for over 35 years and things are very different now with the internet and online reviews. In my opinion the only place you went wrong with this one was you should have refunded them the money they paid towards the engine repairs. You have gone on to make a decent profit on the Jeep but in this instance a smaller profit and customers not left out of pocket would have been a better long term strategy as word of mouth in a small town is the best form of advertising. I am not saying you did anything wrong but some you win and some you lose. You would still have won on this one the girl wouldn't have been out of pocket. I think that would have been a better resolution.
After 35 years in the business have you ever taken back that was messed up? Have you taken one back that was wrecked, have you taken one back after you were slandered? And by chance you have done all of those have you ever taken a car back that was messed up wrecked and after the people who purchased it slandered your name and business? I highly doubt it. Craig was more than fair. Anything else would be simply taking advantage
@@RegardlessRecords I gave my opinion and if you read it you would see that I said he did nearly everything right and I would only do one thing different. He did what he thought was best and that is fine. Also the Jeep was hardly wrecked. Craig did not have to spend very much money or put much time in it to repair it and also made money repairing it. I gave my opinion which Craig asked people to do in the video. It is my opinion, you don't have to agree with it.
@@dizk5283how can the carfax be clean if the accident was reported to insurance? I know it’s not a salvage car. But any time I ever traded in a car that was in an accident, the dealer would always offer less because of the accident showing on carfax

It also gives you bondo worms inside too. Being you own a car lot & you will come across this again buying the right dent puller would be a good investment for you. I just found your utube videos and really love to get info like this..as a women I hate it when you go to buy a vehicle and feel you're taken advantage of..
I love trucks, especially the GMC HD..I own an 2001 GMC HD 3/4 ton just turned 100k..no issues, at all, looks new...I take very good care of my vehicles...
Would like to own a newer model but way over prised!!
Thanks again for the info..I'll be watching...
GERMAN!!! Made me smile just to see him for a minute!
7:16 I think it’s final coat not final quote
Always enjoy the content and the transparency. Keep up the good work
Lol I have the first mucar scan tool you showed. I like it. You have to pay extra for all the features so you have to keep that in mind if you want it.
Man, you did a helluva good job making that Jeep look really sweet. Nice work on taking care of the customer as well. Always enjoy your content, Craig.
Also check the computer in the jeep too see if its still good cuz in my older 88 toyota tercel i had to replace the computer cuz it said that it was overheating but in reality it wasnt
so you said new bumper yet the bumper still shows damage
Heck I live in Canada and I would purchase a used vehicle off FlyingWheels. This guy is a rare breed now a days.
The way the world old is now I often worry that your honesty will end up hurting you. But tonight I realized your sincerity overrides everything. Don’t change a thing……and thank you.
I bought a used 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK two and a half years ago after starting to watch this channel. Craig's love of what he does and what he sells was what drew me in. I love my Jeep. Love the channel.
Great job on the comeback 👏
Hack repair work and sold the lemon on to the next sucker
Wow i cant believe all the rot on that gas tank cover.
In Massachusetts you can't get a Sticker without a Registration. Don't know how you can issue an Inspection Sticker to an unregistered Car or Truck?
10:23 Is that Nucar OBD scanner really battery operated?
The ones I have experienced with use the 12V pin from the OBD socket, which provide power from the 12V car battery.
Pretty much like Bluetooth OBD scanners do.
The Autel ones, with the larger screen and a more powerful SoC and Wifi, really need their own battery.
Love the hustle and your focus!
Cheers from Portugal.
Great job Craig 👍
7:54 The only fix for the misfire CEL is a NEW HEAD !!!!!!!!!!!
Its a known problem on the Pentastar 3.6 engines.
Glad it worked out for you Craig.
Great outcome to a horrible story. Headache yes, but you didn't lose your mind nor a bunch of money. Hope your next video is out soon
Get it while you can, Folks! Radio, Heater (slams fist on hood) and white letter tires. This ain't gonna last long, the deal that is....
@FlyingWheels Can you share the details on the skid plate? Fellow dealer here, not a fan of removing and replacing the factory pan with OEM!
Appreciate the advice!
.
You are the best man. I know your Parents are proud of the way you handled that tough situation! Good on ya!
Sweeeet video thanks!! I do the same type of thing with small engine and power sports!!
So here in NH, the age of the vehicle doesn't matter for the monitors? From what I found online if it was newer then a 2008 you needed all 8, but I could not find NH specific.
newer than 20 years you need 7 monitors to pass. over 20 is expempt
My son has an 06 Impreza with a small Evap leak. For the last two years, I reset the codes about a week before I plan on taking it in for inspection. And when all but the Evap monitor are ready I get it done.@@FlyingWheels
That black paint job u did stands out like a turd. Also that jeep under carriage is rusted bad. And finally the C7 looks way better than c8
I just want to let you know
Wow thought the number 2 video clearly showed you standing tall .
whoa and how did you sell a wrecked vehicle for te same amount I am confused
It wasnt wrecked. It was repaired
You are a good man Craig and that is hard to fine now a days. Keep doing what you are doing and you are a Blessed Family
Alignment will not cause traction control light to come on. More likely a speed sensor wire related to the accident is broken.
The light will come on if the steering wheel is not straight
Sure it will. If the wheel is off center, the steering wheel sensor will be off. Align the car and recalibrate steering wheel sensor. Then clear codes.
Rattle can Craig!!!
On your question about the Corvettes, I would prefer the C7. I think they look awesome and I personally think the Corvette should be front-engined. I think it's wrong that the C8 is mid-engined. Corvettes are the front-engined sports cars. They should have made a new model for the mid-engined car.
Great to see German
Lemon to lemonaid
Congratulations on turning a lemon into a great daily fun driver.
As cool as some of them are, this video is a perfect example of why I’ll never buy any Chrysler products (unless I hit the lotto, then I’d consider a Viper or two)
Bro buy the ms909 autel - u can literally do resets and can program ecu
Just make sure the roller rockers are good.. they always go bad on those
Do I understand this correctly?
What happened to the Kumho AT51s? Had those on my Grand Cherokee. They are great in the snow ❄️
So now that there is an accident on the carfax how much less is it worth?
Still clean title. Its worth the same
@@dizk5283how can the carfax be clean if the accident was reported to insurance? I know it’s not a salvage car. But any time I ever traded in a car that was in an accident, the dealer would always offer less because of the accident showing on carfax
@@dizk5283No, value goes down with every accident.
Jeep prices went up since he first sold it. New buyer is getting a deal for a jeep that has some damage history
@@createachanneltopostso that means Craig sold it at a discount considering prices went up. If he could have gotten more, why didn’t he? Perhaps because it was damaged?
Craig, Craig, Craig drilling all those holes into the metal. I thought you were better than that man? Buy yourself a stud gun welder. Make the world a better place. -Glen
Yo Craig, at minute 13, it took me a second to realize that the Jeep door was a reflection and not painted.
Getting the Jeep up and running, yes! Reliable😂😂😂😂 Good luck
The paint and bondo on the right side rocker between the passenger doors is hideous, the rot in the area of the fuel tank is bad, the fender is bad.. Its crazy this POS is selling for $16K+ people are crazy. Whoever buys this is INSANE
You made good money on the insurance claim .your cost except the labour was little on parts .and did not take a lot of labor
Yikes. That tool is so wrong. You use the the tool that uses studs you tack weld onto the damage & pull it. Then just grind the studs off. The hole tool will rust the damage from inside out. It also gives you bondo worms inside too. Being you own a car lot & you will come across this again buying the right dent puller would be a good investment for you. Throw the one you currently have in the garbage.
Do big screen upgrades and other aftermarket part help sell a car?
That is such a beautiful Jeep
That the 10:00 mark , the captions are opposite of what Craig is saying
