Christopher did the best in my opinion. Something about it brings something new to Akuma. It gives the nature of the true threat that Akuma actually is.
@@Amotivatedindividual Funny thing is, I feel Chris has taken some notes from Dave. 🤔 At first I thought it WAS Dave. Especially during the reveal of classic outfit.
I think it's simply an evolution of Akuma's status as a whole. I mean, he must be Shin Akuma at this point. Plus, I'm not one to compare voices like that. They're all good imo.
Christopher obviously had the best direction. They fused thw Dave's Akuma's edgy jankyness with his JP Voice. Epcar's "old guy" voice feels too "normal". It feels like it belongs to a NPC in random JRPG. But his Tekken 7 Geese Howard performance and that "calm but violent evil guy" voice is perfect.
Obvious fun fact, Richard Epcar voices Raiden from the Mortal Kombat series except MK12 officially called Mortal Kombat 1 as Liu Kang was forced to replace him as an immortal and elder god
At first I was sad that Richard wasn't gonna return as Akuma and had doubts at first. But then I hear Christopher's voice for the first time. And I gotta say, damn! Hope to hear more of him as Akuma.
Just my opinion, but never liked Akuma's english voice actors. Chris is an improvement, but i feel like Akuma should only be in Japanese. Side note, I always thought it'd be cool to have a mode where all the Characters speak their native languages. Would love to hear Zangief dropping some Russian, or Sagat speaking Thai
I've always wanted that too! We can choose English or Japanese for individual characters now, so it would be great to have more options. I'm sure there's a budget reason for not including it, though. More VAs, more money.
Can anyone else understand what he's saying? I don't know if there's too many sound effects or what, but all I can make out is: "something something heavens, something something soul(i think?), become the demon.", the last part is the only part i can hear clearly.
Christopher Guerrero>>Richard Epcar>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Dave Mallow (Even Keith Burgess from the 90s movies were miles better than Mallow lol)
I still prefer Richard Epcar. He gives vibes of a natural mature and intimidating deep voice, unlike Christopher, who sounds like a young man forcing a deep voice. Then again, despite preferring Richard, Christopher's version, despite sounding forced, has a bit of charm, like.... I don't know, it just hits right.
@sharkyslegoandotherstuff I wouldn't say "happy", but he's definitely the one that puts up the worst "die one thousand deaths", although that's more a design fail since the main flaw is that is too fast, and that's due the original being said in a short span of time.
