- Another battle video lol
This time 40 Pain Elementals go againts 1500 Lost souls, then 20 Archviles, and for the final battle, they face off a cyberdemon with a spidermastermind.
Also, a lot of people ask for the music, so here is the music list:

Also, the Pain Elementals spawn a fuck ton of Lost Souls after death and while alive, so that kinda gave the Lost Souls a bit of an advantage.
Wouldn't the pain elementals lost souls be on their side though?
@@aeris2001 I don't know. Probably on the Pain Elementals' side since the Lost Souls infight a lot and it's pretty confusing.

which is enough to give you the information that why is there the word PAIN in the pain elemental.

idea for story: doom shotgun guy is self iso lating but neighbour imps keep having a party, so he goes and solves the problem.

Pain elementals haven't lost until every lost soul they've spawned is dead. The lost soul battle was not fair.
Yeah but, in a sea of 1500 lost souls, it would be impossible to know which ones are spawned by the elementals.
@@theonewhowearscrocs8591 it'd be easy to fix that. Just make a new monster that's a clone of lost souls but make them a different color. It would require almost no effort

@@Zellonous This video just goes to show you how powerful the Pain Elemental is. The Pain Elemental is widely considered to be the most dangerous and most difficult enemy in Doom history.
It's crazy to see how the AI cooperates in this game. The Pinkies are the ones doing it the most (so that they can trap Doomguy in a corner), but then you have situations like these were they have to work together to survive.
The Archviles worked in packs to form some sort of a meatshield, and ultimately lost when it was broken
The Spider Mastermind and Cyberdemon were covering their own backs. They were doing great up until the accident.
The programming doesn't account for that, what you are seeing are artifacts of randomness. The nature of the programming takes this in to account but the code itself doesn't have the monsters considering other monsters.
So for the pinkies, the intention was to have them trap the player, but they operate randomly and simply head towards the player, trapping him by nature of the programming.

I love the VS and the animation vids you pump out occasionally, it's top quality my man. Please don't stop making them.
you know, a couple years ago i thought of making a youtube channel pretty much for this kind of stuff. but not only for doom monsters, but monster from all games "ported" into doom (with their stats adapted to be proportional to doom's). Starting slowly by just testing doom monsters, then do other sprite monsters from FPSs of the same era like duke3d and hexen, then gradually moving to more complex ports. No reason why a baron of hell couldn't fight a hydralisk or even a skaarj (from unreal) fight a covenant elite (halo).
I love watching monsters infight.

Oh man, this brings back memories back when I was a kid. I used to use a doom wad editor to make these arena maps, throw in a ton of monsters, and make them wreak havoc on each other. I would get so much pointless entertainment out of this during those years.
