    Awesome! This helped big time. I got additional crash and extra Tom. Going to try the splitter method with the crash and new floor tom. Cheers!

    Wow! Thank you so much for this tutorial! I was watching a Caligula's Horse play through by Julian Bigras on a TD11 kit the other day and he had 2 pads on the right side he was using as china cymbals. I had no idea where he had them plugged into. I didn't realize you could use the Crash 2 trigger in. I also just noticed another channel that talks about e-drum splitters (which I also had no idea existed!). So thank you very much! You made my day! - John

    I appreciate your efforts to provide information. Have you tried splitting the toms and hit both at the same time? will it cancel both and no sound will come out? Or is there any way to set a layered sound for the splitted toms when both pads are hit? Ex: Tom1 -> Splash (rim), Tom1 (head). When both are hit it should produce Splash AND Tom1 sound.

    Despite the negative comments, it took me some time to realise that the spare cable on the loom marked RDB seems to be for an additional bell Input from a ride cymbal (the manual doesn't really go into this detail) as such I found your video at least useful in identifying what I needed to do to attach a spare cymbal input into the module itself. All I need now is a suitable cable.

    Can you say a roland mesh snare to a bog standard e drum set or does it have to be a roland e set?

    What´s the model of the extra pad? PD8V perhaps? If you configure it as a ride, can you do both the bell sound and the body sound? Thanks.

    Hi, I was needing to order a drum pad for my Roland td11. Where do I purchase a new one?

    Do you know if I can do this on the Roland td1 module? I want to add an additional pad and either use it as an extra Tom or maybe an 808 drum Or cowbell. Thanks.

    Gonna plug another kick pad. The axis pedals don't align to the center when using only one

      Its for a fancier ride cymbal pad that has a bell on it. Its labelled RYD BELL or something like that.

      The CY-12R or 13R ride cymbal is a three-zone device and has: edge, shank and separate bell sounds.The first cable covers the first two elements and a discrete bell cable. Note also that a TRS cable (1/4" bayonet tip with two, black, insulator rings) are required for each of these inputs to the module.

    Anyone know how to add a 4th tom to the ‘Roland TD-15 module’ ?

    So you only have one crash and a ride set up? I see two cymbols but know that there is only one crash cable on your cable bundle, so I guess you are only using one crash?

    What kind of cable did you use? I ask because the cable that came with a cymbal I bought didn't have the one you used.

    • @XribbleQuebec
      @XribbleQuebec 2 года назад

      You see it nice @2:07, three tipped is a stereo TRS cable, so you have center and rim shot and they can be different with what you need!

    Can i add more than just one pad/cymbal to the kit so i kan have a really big metal kit?

    • @lucky2wice
      @lucky2wice 8 лет назад

      +nils01 I don't think so because there is only one crash 2/trigger in port.

      You can yield the your 11KV pads' rims to additional drum pads/cymbals but you will need splitter cable management to achieve it.

    Why you dont use the RDB extra cable?

  • @drewone08
    @drewone08 7 лет назад

    • @rogeriof.sitchin9096
      @rogeriof.sitchin9096 7 лет назад

      Mickael Bertainchant can i use the RideBell cable for another pd8 and use as a third crash or Second snare? i Tried and It doesnt work. this is only for CY13R? could my cable be broken? tkZ

    • @Mudge07
      @Mudge07 5 месяцев назад

      @@rogeriof.sitchin9096 although the connecting cable is identical (TRS) the sensor and the Module need to match sound-wise. The bell sensor is different from the edge & shank sensors and hence the Module needs a separate cable to interpret them correctly. For example the edge is a ribbon sensor (for detecting catches) and the bell can be a simple piezo (hits and velocity).

    What a total dork lol. "I just put the bracket on....now I can actually mount the drum head" Einstein reborn. You didn't select the pad type (PD-8?) in settings or mention if you are getting one or two zones from the pad.
