I'm a neutral. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to the makeup counter and had the sales associate recommend something that looks yellowish or pinkish on me. Now that I know, it's much easier to shop.😊
My neck is a totally different color from my face so that’s great. Unless I want to self tan it every day or blend expensive foundation down to my collar bones it looks very odd.
I have fair-olive skin that leans warm. I haven't found a shade that works as of yet so for the most part, I have given up wearing foundation. Everyone I have tried looks either too peach, pink or murky.
Sephora pls I don’t care how sees this I just want someone to see it plsssssssssssss make an age limit to 18 and over ok cause this is getting out of hand
Jackie Bedward Hi there, you can find more of our shade matching videos here, featuring many different skin tones: www.youtube.com/@Sephora/search?query=shade%20match
I’m neutral,(NARS-Bercelona) I went to Sephora recently and wanted to try Hauslab by lady Gaga, the shade range there is really confusing. The test with black machines one associate did matched me was darker and wrong under tone. Some matches with there neck which does not look good on me.
I'd love a video about those matching machines. I have had different associates do that with me in the same Sephora store and the results are always different
jetson10100 It can depend on which way you lean as a neutral. A good test is trying a cool neutral swatched next a warm neutral on your jawline and see which looks closer.
You mean Beauty Director DAVID. LOVE YOU DAVID ❤️❤️❤️🙏

This was very helpful! I’m a neutral and I’ve always felt pretty with the mixing of gold and silver jewelry 😂🤩
Please do makeup for olive skin
Thank you for the demo always appreciated and needed!!
Lighting inside Sephora is terrible. Once I purchase a foundation, I discover it's way off in natural light
Right? I have to ask for a sample and walk around, go outside, etc
David is back 😊
I just need to meet David at this point to help me find a shade cuz I've given up.

Beautiful advice

Thank you for sharing your tips 😊
This would be even more helpful if you had 3 models representing all three undertones.
Vanessa Hinds Hey there, we'll keep that in mind for future shade matching!
@@Sephora Wow! I feel very special! xo

What foundation brush was that??
My skin has a green undertone😅did the makeup world forget about me?

Arlene Hynes He really is!
It’s always a good day when I see David. ❤❤❤ Love this! Thank you, David, for your expertise. 😊
Ok David, nice demo. Can you do the same demo on a brown girl with beautiful melanated skin.
Yes!

Thank you David, I've been told I'm a neutral, does that mean though that you can wear either cool neutral or warm neutral?

Awesome video cheers
Should we wait for the foundation to completely dry (wait for it to oxidize) before deciding whether a shade matches?
@annsgal2025 Yes, that's always a good idea.
