+Larissa A Totally agree. Graham has perfected his show over a long period of time, but you can't plan what happened on this episode. Matt & Bill are super bright, & highly intellectual, but they virtually never lose control. (Matt lost it with Robin Williams while filming 'Good Will Hunting'. But then Robin was "the master" at making actors corpse.) It's obvious that these guys are friends. It was a joy to watch them laugh uncontrollably. Laughter is infectious. Sorry Larissa (Beautiful name BTW), but a bit of science here. We are hardwired to respond to genuine laughter, & are incredibly acute at detecting false laughter. Seeing an adult laugh like a baby? Total joy.
+David Keenan I don't think it's rocket science. Get some good guests on who are likely to have a rapport, sit them around a semi-circular sofa and ply them with alcohol for a couple of hours. It is a recipe that never seems to fail, if you've ever been to a house party... What mystifies me is that no one else seems to have thought of this. Graham has said more than once that it is "the alcohol, not the host" that makes his show so much fun.
+Lawlliets _ Not as hysterical as his play titled "Enemy of the People" He plays an advocate for Press Freedom and Freedom of Speech LOL HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH
Christian Koncz Drunk people are also easily annoyed. It's a fine line to walk between getting to tell stories and annoyed them. Walking that line is an art that Graham masters at.
I beleive he laughed a few times during skits on SNL but nowhere near to the point of losing his shit laughing uncontrollably like he did in this show where he was crying lol.
I love the moment at the 4:03 mark where it looks like everything's calmed down - and then Bill brings up the woolly jumper again. He's literally holding his sides at the end, brilliant TV!
ALL MALE ACTORS IN AMERICA AND IN THE MEDIA WEAR MAKEUP. THEY LOOK REALLY BAD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERAS IF THEY DON'T. THEY WERE PROBABLY MORE LAUGHING WITH HIM THAN AT HIM.
Apparently Matt Damon and Bill Murray were wasted during this recording. This is coming from George Clooney who said he left them (they were drunk at that time already) when they had to go to Norton from the premiere of Monuments Men.
+Morgan Etches No one. But we don't know how much they actually drank throughout the course of the recording. It was definitely more than two, plus whatever else they'd had before the recording started.
What's Funny is the better Question would be what does it mean in England so Bill and any of us Americans could have any clue how to answer that question
Bill Murray and Matt Damon's co star in the film they were promoting was George Clooney . he came on this show at a later time . he said this was the only talk show where his co stars came to it from the premier drunk and got drunker as the talk show went. on . i love it
The Mark Wahlberg joke ladies and gentlemen, earlier on the show Matt expressed that he's always mistaken for Mark Wahlberg pity they do not have part 1 and 2. It was a good show, they got on the couch and downed their champagne in seconds which might explains their behaviour too. Made us laugh the British public then again Graham Norton never disappoints ;-)
this is why graham norton the greatest host living today.... notice how he rarely interrupts what is happening and let it take life on its own, like he noticed the guests are enjoying themselves so he let them say what ever they want even chat with each other.....what a great conductor of the show , you wont see american hosts do that
This show is better when the guests are cast mates or acquaintances. Because Matt was so fun in this interview, but the next time he was on he was shy and uncomfortable.
For the Brits who don't know, a jumper in canada and parts of USA refers to a dress usually worn by school girls; called a pinafore dress in British English
I am genuinely curious, why is damon considered hot? he is really not that good looking. not ugly by any means but come on .I am a straight guy so maybe I dont get it
I read Graham Norton's book and he basically said that because these guys all came straight from the premiere that by the time they arrived to go onto the show they had already been drinking, so topped with the drinking they had on the show it led to the most hilarious episode ever.
Can't remember when I laughed so much. Matt Damon and Bill Murray were just superb as was Hugh B. It's such a lovely show - yes, Graham can be bitchy, but you just know he's a great chap and really brings out the best in his guests. I loved it at the end of the actual show when Matt Damon said that he had never had more fun on a talk show - and he meant it. Bravo Graham!
Some of the things Brits say DO sound funny to us Americans but I'm sure it's quite often the other way around for the Brits when they listen to us, too.
I've never seen two celebrities laughing so hard cuz all the shows especially in america the interviews r like 5 seconds n it's always a little smile or an awkward laugh or something but never this hysterical, graham is the best lol
man, if i had ever been able to make Bill Murray laugh that hard that would be the first story i'll go around telling anyone. I mean literally anyone, like for example on a train: - "ticket please" - "oh here's my ticket. Have i told you when i made Bill Murray burst laughing?"
This episode is just going from one hilarious gag to another, Matt Damon confused with Mark Wahlberg to Hugh Bonneville in his wooly jumper with red lippy... And these three men are stone cold drunk from the champagne... Solid effin' gold from Graham Norton... It's why Damon had the most fun in a talk show....
matt damon and bill murray laughing uncontrollably. the one thing that I didn't know I needed.
Which is why I keep revisiting this whenever I need a good laugh! :D
they just got drank
They’re also laughing at the use of the word “jumper”.
@@imisstoronto3121 "Woolly Jumper" in America we call them sweater, and lippy!
alcohol may be ?
this entire episode was hysterical

Indeed!
They're all drunk out of their minds, but that makes this show so good.
Drunk out of their minds? hardly, at worst a little tipsy, but yes a great show,
Sam I think that was just Bill Murray being Bill Murray. He doesn't need to be drunk to throw fruit at people.
I was at the taping for this show, they were absolutely trashed and it was wonderful
Based on another clip with George Clooney, they arrived at the show already tipsy and got progressively drunker through the taping.
@@captainchaos3667 Graham Norton said that they were drunk 😂
I don't think I have ever seen Bill Murray laugh that much
I know, he usually controls himself; he would never laugh while telling a joke, but right there, it looks like he could die laughing.
I beleive he laughed a few times during skits on SNL but nowhere near to the point of losing his shit laughing uncontrollably like he did in this show where he was crying lol.
MikeMJPMUNCH DRUNKEN
right?
Yeah, that happens when you are stonned 😅🤣🤣🤣
This entire episode consisted of heavy drinking, taking the piss outta Hugh, and Paloma Faith being her cray-cray self. I loved it.
Don't forget the frequent callbacks to Mark Walhberg, the precursor of Graham Norton heavy drinking
Apparently they’ve been to Premier just before and had been drinking then as well .
@@phoenix-xu9xj apparently George Clooney got them pissed knowing they were going on the show afterwards 🤣🤣🤣
I love the moment at the 4:03 mark where it looks like everything's calmed down - and then Bill brings up the woolly jumper again. He's literally holding his sides at the end, brilliant TV!
***** If you'd watched the whole show, you would know why he's called Mark Wahlberg.
I love the moment at the 4:03 mark Wahlberg* where it looks like everything's calmed down
Fify
Hugh bonneville is a great sport
Bruce Banner I loved the way he just walked off set on this show to use the bathroom then came back on .
Bruce Banner be good if he could drop the injunction on Hellen Wood and everyone can know what a sleezeball he really is, eh?
@@heyo3092 If using a prostitute makes a guy a sleezeball, then most of the men you know are sleezeballs. At least he paid her.

bob, no "apparently". They actually drank two glasses of champagne in the beginning of the show.
who gets wasted from two glasses of champers?
Morgan Etches They are American
We should remember that each episode is longer then what we see, around two hours I think and they cut it down for what we see on tv.
+Morgan Etches No one. But we don't know how much they actually drank throughout the course of the recording. It was definitely more than two, plus whatever else they'd had before the recording started.
Matt Damon "the best chat show ever" True..
This was THE funniest episode of Graham EVER! I never laughed so hard in my life!
Loveoldies50 when Michael fassbender and James McAvoy were on it was hilarious too.
Eps with Greg Davies are also a laugh
Comes second to the one with Kate Beckinsale's prank. But def amongst top 3.
Still is, 7 years later.
The funniest thing about this clip is Matt Damon laughing so hard lol
+Melonie Summers
Matt Damon? No, the funniest thing is Bill Murray breaking.
Melonie Summers, both.
He didn't do the pig squeal from Good Will Hunting though.
Completely!😂😂😂
Honestly Bill Murray’s “I don’t know!” Was the funniest part
I can understand why this was the most fun Matt Damon had ever had on a talk show. Bill looks like he’s having a pretty good time too.
I just love Bill Murray's uncontrollable laughing - that alone would have set me off even if I didn't know what the joke was.
"Lippy? What does that mean in America? - I don't know... !" LMAO haha xD
What's Funny is the better Question would be what does it mean in England so Bill and any of us Americans could have any clue how to answer that question
@Tubin' lipstick
@Tubin' You're right. It's just lipstick
Hilarious, but poor Hugh! I actually think he's quite dashing in his woolly jumper!
His 'favorite' wooly jumper...
@@marshallmom1962 That's "favourite".
"How many women are gonna faint seeing Hugh in his favorite wooly jumper?!" 😂😂😂😂
How great it must be to party with Bill Murray.

I know I was just......nevermind
Zulqarnain Aidil Sarcasm never goes down well on this site..
***** Bill was making fun of Matt bc he said how they confuse him and Mark. Its in the full interview.
***** Epic fail
Lol
Graham gave these guests the space to relax and have a good time. Great chemistry ❤️
The guys are actually enjoying being interviewed, how refreshing !
You can tell they're all good friends in real life!
Matt and Bill are so tipsy in this episode...haha!
Bill Murray and Matt Damon's co star in the film they were promoting was George Clooney . he came on this show at a later time . he said this was the only talk show where his co stars came to it from the premier drunk and got drunker as the talk show went. on . i love it
Did he come? I saw Paloma Faith come in later, no one else.
1:47 is the best. All you hear is Bill Murray's uncontrollable giggling off camera, while Hugh is trying to keep the conversation on the rails.
Bill Murray loosing his shit is the best.
incredible

I cannot stop watching this.
Hugh Bonneville’s voice & accent “my favorite wooly jumper” 😂😂
As a person who has said jumper all her life, I never thought of it as funny UNTIL now!!!! 🤣🤣
Probably one of the most entertaining episodes of any chat show ever. Graham and all of his guests were just so good.
'My favorite wooly jumper and my lippy'....I haven't laugh like that for very long time 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Honestly you wouldn't guess this sofa to be as fun as it really was.......my favorite one of all time XD
I was literally in tears, this is too funny. something about older men acting like little kids (in a good way) is amazing. Just being so carefree

This show is better when the guests are cast mates or acquaintances. Because Matt was so fun in this interview, but the next time he was on he was shy and uncomfortable.
This is my favorite segment in talk show history.
For the Brits who don't know, a jumper in canada and parts of USA refers to a dress usually worn by school girls; called a pinafore dress in British English
That's very helpful. Thank you.
I did not know that!!
+MsReneArtois
Interesting, just as well Gilbert & Sullivan didn't know that. "HMS Jumper" doesn't have the same ring :-)
No wonder Bill lost it when he heard that lol.
Right!! Now this is 10 times funnier
The booze finally kicked into high gear for the gentlemen in this one, I was dying! 😂
came to this to readjust my image of Hugh Bonneville after watching I came by. what an actor!
We need Bill Murray, Mariam Margolyes and Craig Davies on the show together
sarah854r4h yessssssss!!!
And Ryan Gosling
Who tf is Craig Davies?
Do you mean Greg Davies?
Hilarious. Laughed til my stomach hurt. Thanks so much for posting!!

holy shit matt damon is beautiful oh god
I am genuinely curious, why is damon considered hot? he is really not that good looking. not ugly by any means but come on .I am a straight guy so maybe I dont get it
he's not conventionally attractive, but he has one of those charms that just makes him seem so much more attractive than normal
Until 3:14 I thought it was Chris Hemsworth.
I think his attractiveness comes from his heart. He just seems like really nice guy @R. Vered
Graham knows how to do a talkshow. What a fabulous gig. I LOVE IT!!!!
I want to cuddle Hugh Bonneville so bad!!!!!
My cheeks hurt 😂😂 I've been laughing too much 😭😭😂😂😂

He is the best tv host, you can see that his guests truly love being on his show, like they really enjoy being there.. And His laugh is genuine
he looks like mrs doubtfire.

Bill Murray was crying his eyes out
I want to get wasted with bill murray. It will be my honor.

Have watched this episode so many times. Hysterical! The Graham Norton show is the best talk show.
funniest episode of all time lol
The 'i don't know' of Bill Murray gets me every time haha
Still doesnt get old. Always puts a grin on your face :)
Did he just say 'Mark Wahlberg' at the end??????
Yes he did, because before on the show Matt was talking about how people keep mixing him up with Mark Walberg.
If you ever have a bad day, just watch this. Those Hollywood legends laughing uncontrollably will just brighten your day.
Bill murray absolutely pissed.
Lol, Mark Wahlberg at the end

I have no clue why THE GRAHAM NORTON SHOW doesnt win ever on TV AWARDS night. He's chat show , hands down is the best.
God Bill Murray's laughter is so contagious...i watch this at least once a week when I need a laughter fix
I have no idea how many times I've watched this but I crack up for laughter everytime ....it's so hilarious lol
This was the best Graham episode ever.

This is as funny as anything I've ever seen on television
Matt and Bill's reaction to the photo will never not be funny
bill murray is comedy gold
I really had a bad day... actually a rough week and i have to watch this to release my stress😞😞😞
I can't take Lord Grantham seriously thanks to this 😂
Best show ever.
Hugh is hilarious, really underrated comedian
The uncontrollable laughter in the background while they have lord Granthams picture is hilarious! 😂😂😂😂😂
Graham should get all his guests drunk - they are much more entertaining. This episode was absolutely brilliant!!
Kathy Griffin did that on her talk show. Chris Noth got totally bombed...

I come across this episode at least twice a year and I lifts me right out of any doldrums I might be in.
Easily the funniest clip of Graham's show.
Easily my favourite tv moment of the past decade. Crying laughing every time :D
