I used to believe everything they did was scripted but these interactions look very convincing..
There are no script they are just given a template of what to do where to go etc most of all of their conversation are adlib they learn how to talk about a mundane topic and make it last along as possible which we can't get to listen cause it's too long this doesn't apply to their Amazon show that thing is scripted

There's still some scripting, but not all of it. Grand Tour specials seem the least scripted of them all, simply because of how big they are and the wild things that happen to them.

these guys remind me of my kids sometimes. they definitely have graduated towards sibling behavior. Clarkson is the domineering older brother. Hammond is the youngest that gets into all the trouble and May, well May is the forgotten middle child, isn't he? Don't worry May, that was me as well.

What I love about Jeremy’s reaction to Richard reversing into him, is how mid shout he looks to make sure the camera is recording. He’s angry in the moment, but there is also a part of him that’s thinking this is golden, just like the old days

0:50 i'm fully with james on that one and I didn't think that was funny even a tiny bit. My dad had his friend killed that way. Broke down on the motorway, had a look at the engine, someone rear ended him at low speed, the hood came down and broke his neck. If I had been James would've thrown that rock with much more force.

I think you missed another meltdown. It’s from the episode; Well-Aged Scotch. There’s this part where Clarkson’s Alfa Romeo had to be transported via tow truck. And he had to bike to the hotel. The tow truck with his car passed Jeremy and he shouted “RUB IT IN!” When he finally reached the hotel, he left his bike at the fence and couldn’t bother to find out how the lock works. And to worsen his misery, when he tried to enter, the door felt like it was glued shut and he shouts “HAMMOND!”
Even better, when Hammond wakes up to find the roof on his X/19 missing and howls "CLARKSON! CLARKSON! WHERE'S MY ROOF?!" only to realise too late that he put it under the car, so he subsequently runs over it, cracking it in two
And later, Jeremy catches up and overtakes them both, having repaired his Alfa 🤣
