I woke up from the bender and I had pancreatitis and that shit was the most deep pain you can possibly dream of, and it fucks you up for days. I had trauma-induced pancreatitis. It was torture for a few days waiting for the doctors to figure out what the pain was coming from. Crashed a motorcycle and ruptured my spleen and spent 16 days in the hospital. The pacreatitis gave me the worst pain out of all the injuries I got in that accident.

I would be right there with Shane, I loved drinking and was good at it. Never got mad and was always social and having a great time. Made the best friends I will ever make. I wasn’t going to stop even knowing that my health wouldn’t last forever but I developed some bad anxiety in my late 20s that shook me out of it. Drinking started to become a source of my anxiety and I had to stop to be happy. Looking back I’m thankful I had anxiety, kicked me into gear in more ways than with alcohol. People taking pills to reduce anxiety is so sad when you realize they are dulling the feeling that is supposed to motivate you to fix your problems.
It is interesting how when people hit age 25 they start thinking they need to get their life together. They either do what you did and act upon it, or they take medication and sleepwalk through life, trying to smother that anxiety.

I have autism. We get super lonely but you get used to it. I had a great time socially until about 30. Crazy parties but since then I got nothing so from all to none in every social aspect. So I guess some of us just shell up alone because it is easier. It still sucks.
