I thought I would hate the no buttons but took me a day to get used to & now I could never go back, the luxury feel of no buttons is great, these gen 4 motors are on another level
I'm more of an EQT fan over Sneeky. But that car reeks of racing on early revisions lol. That car lost like it was an IS38. That or it's a hurt car. Even a dogwater tune wouldn't lose THAT bad lol
Is38+ isn't all that... the Vortex XL punches way above its weight class consistently.

@@velocitywot9573that’s wild there’s definitely something wrong I have a tpc38 v2 me n jewels would be neck n neck but he’ll probably get top end. Manual gti’s are much better for roll racing as the gear ratios are superior
I feel you on the MK8 and the associated Esthetics (ie lack of physical buttons) . And for although they now come with more power there is just something off about the exterior of that new gen. Still think our 7.5 and 7's are the best looking Golf's of all time with the MK6 and MK1 right behind it. My current will be the last VW I own. Going to BMW or Audi next. .
I have a mk7.5 R and LOVE IT!!! Butttttttt the even tho I hate the interior of the mk8 the powertrain is awesome simple stage 2 tunes are hitting about 500HP is wild and so awesome makes me want to get one as well
I kinda like the bubbly look of the Mk6 and how the hood accentuates the headlights making it higher than the center of the hood. Gives the front end that mean look, while the MK7 has the hood hump like all other car brands.
The mk8s look good with the proper mods. Unfortunately better than mk7s can IMO. And I have a golf R 😅

If the GTI and R have the same power the GTI will always win a rolling race due to less weight and less mechanic drive train loss

Mod for mod the GTI is the lighter car and should win if it doesn't spin
@@boostedbub217 true power to weight ratio is a big factor in racing I'm looking forward on buying a 2015 gti 2 door 6 speed manual or 2018 golf r 6 speed manual living in Canada we have quite some snow so awd would be nice but aren't cheap to buy compared to gti

only time will tell, the mk8s off of a base stage 1 tune are making +80 hp tq. No word on internal strength yet.

Cool have a Stage 1 GTI Clubsport MK7 with CJXE same engine! Just wanted to recomend MOTUL DTCF high torque oil for your DSG6 speed, if you have it! Makes gearbox feel soo smoth compared to stock! 👍

@@elias_hsd6443 Ohh well, the clutch cogs are thicker so in that sense a good thing. We have my old Golf GT R-Line in the family, Manual 6 speed at just 160 hp, but its running great for 12 years so far.
Coming from a genesis 3.8 (believe me I know hard buttons)🤣 you get used to the (haptic like) feedback very very quick I don’t even notice it’s there. I got the S trim due to me not needing the sunroof& it was the only trim that came with a volume and tune knob (se & autobahn trims come with touch sliders for volume/ stereo control)

Stock turbo with every mod possible on E85 would still get gapped worse than the TPC38 car did in this video

I wouldn’t push more than 450hp and 450 TRQ but people have been pushing 500 on stock bottom end they are just on really borrowed time

The vortex xl is the camera car, so I’d say it’s better than the tpc 38 per the video.
