They were not brothers. But maybe you already heard their story. They were the bomb and still are. I'm 68 years old and still listen to their music because it was pure talent. No auto tune, no editing. The mother of the blonde was a voice teacher. She taught him the importance of breathing fully when singing to be able to reach the high notes. He did her proud the time he sang Unchained Melody, he had a cold at the time and his parents were in the audience of that live taped tv show.
This song "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" made it to the Guinness Book of World Records as the most played and listen to song on the radio in the 20th Century. These are all facts. Bill Medley Baritone Voice and Bobby Hatfield Counter Tenor voice are the Dynamic Dou known as the 'Righteous Brothers.' Great reaction to a duo that were moderately famous back in their heyday of the 60's. They are more popular today than when they were performing these hits back in the 60's.
I was born in 76 and when I first heard this song when I was a kid without seeing them I straight up thought it was a black man and black woman duet. That's just what my brain pictured.
The one thing people need to know about The Righteous Brothers is that they WEREN'T related to each other. The duo was originally Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield, Bobby died in 2003. Also, remember that this was during a time when there wasn't a lot of electronics (auto-tune) for vocals; Bill Medley was a Bass and Bobby Hatfield was a Tenor to Countertenor for their vocal ranges.
Yes, Bill medley and Bobby Hatfield were not related. They got their name The Righteous Brothers shortly after they performed near a military base in Cal. when a young black marine complimented their music "That was righteous, brothers"
Blue eyed soul is what they called it. Please watch and listen to more of them. They were just great. Bobby and Bill rocked! Thanks for bringing back memories.
Amazing talent, I grew up listening to the Righteous Brothers along with other talents back in those days. I remember my Dad playing his vinyls which i still have ❤
You should listen to Bobby Hatfield singing "Summertime" or the two of them singing "You'll never walk alone." They had a lot of hits in the 60s and early 70s and they're all worth listening to. Amazing voices.
OK...You are 18 in a 53 Ford on a date with a girl wearing red lipstick, smoking cigarettes and sitting close...and this song comes on for the first time....We were both smiling!
NO COMPUTERS... NO SYNTHESIZERS...NO LIP-SYNCING... PURE TALENT AND PURE LIVE VOICE!!!!
There's no music today that can compete with the talent of the 60's and 70's. So many riches.
And to think that they were just 24 years old!!!

Tom Jones, even at age 80 can BELT OUT a song like yesterday! He appeared on Ed Sullivan 1968 and sang "Delilah" and wow! Then on "The Voice" at age 80 sang a song called "Cry to Me". Sir Tom Jones is one that you REALLY should do a video on. Hope to see what you think!
I can't think of another duo that could possibly be as good as the Righteous Brothers. Both singers are extremely talented on their own, but together? Holy Cow!
One of my favorite songs of all time..damn I'm old good to see younger generations still appreciating the oldies.
The oldies are legends you have to look up to legends now
Love your reaction. No one sounds like them! Then or now!
THIS is the music of my YOUTH and it was amazing…
I was in high school in 1964, and they were at the top of the charts for weeks.
I was born in 76 and when I first heard this song when I was a kid without seeing them I straight up thought it was a black man and black woman duet. That's just what my brain pictured.
I was a teenager when this song came out I used to sit in my room and just play it over and over and over. I love this song I love these guys.
This was the most requested in the 20th century, according to BMI!!!
Soul and Inspiration. They both shine
I love it when people find them & realize how great they were!!❤
Love your reaction!!! This was the most played song of the 20th century. Check out Bobby singing Summertime
They got their name The
Righteous Brothers shortly after they performed near a military base in Cal. when a young black marine complimented their music "That was righteous, brothers"
So nice when people could actually sing! No autotune here! I was in 2nd grade when this came out. My parents loved them🙂
Now that’s great memories 😌
Love you see young people get as much enjoyment out of songs from my era as I do. (To me, you are young.)
Blue eyed soul is what they called it. Please watch and listen to more of them. They were just great. Bobby and Bill rocked! Thanks for bringing back memories.
✨🔥❤️🔥
The Righteous Brothers have always been my favorite singing duo since I first heard them on the radio on my 1964 Chevy Impala SS one day.
They can never duplicate their sound it was unique! Real American original
Amazing talent, I grew up listening to the Righteous Brothers along with other talents back in those days. I remember my Dad playing his vinyls which i still have ❤
After all these years, I still get chills hearing this! I was sixteen when this was released.
NO VOICE ASSISTANCE, THIS WAS LIVE
Zero pitch correction. These boys had SOUL!!!! New sub- you’re doing great! 😊
Warm welcomes 🤗❤️🌹
I’m so happy that I lived though those times
This song is one of 25 in the Library of Congress as one of the most influential songs of the 20th century.
I love this song its one of my favorites❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
1964/65 walking thru my dorm half the radios I heard were playing the Righteous Bros.
You should listen to Bobby Hatfield singing "Summertime" or the two of them singing "You'll never walk alone." They had a lot of hits in the 60s and early 70s and they're all worth listening to. Amazing voices.
You're a joy to watch because you recognize the greatness and magic of their voices!
Thank you!! 🤗❤️🔥✨
Great vocals are everything! The magic of the universe!
OK...You are 18 in a 53 Ford on a date with a girl wearing red lipstick, smoking cigarettes and sitting close...and this song comes on for the first time....We were both smiling!
