True! I remember thinking this was one of the first video games that had "movie-like" music, in both sound and production, as a lot of music prior was either mostly electronic, or MIDI or 8-bit even further back.

As a teenager I played the demo of TA and I knew straight away I simply had to have this game. This particular track was on the demo level I played and would have sold me all on it's own.

I used to play this track on repeat for the entire match vrs AI. Kept me pumped for 1+ hour or more if on the bigger maps. It's just a real banger and I still play it once in a while for other games or randomly on my phone. I have to be careful to not speed though when driving with it on. XD

Kinda. As @WrynnCZ said through other words, it's almost certain that the time signature is 6/8, given the feel of the rhythmic pulse. It makes it feel a lot closer to a 2/2 or 4/4 beat than a true 3/4.
I will certainly agree with you that this would be rather hard to march to. Still, I'm willing to forgive the title gaff, given how kickass the piece is at the end of the day.

My brother used to play the game as a kid, so whenever he played the soundtrack and I heard it. My brother accused me a of making fun of soundtrack as I said it sounded like a swarm of insects coming to attack.
