For shoulder blade pain, i do a machine that is like a pad in your chest and you grab a wishbone with your hands far away from your chest and pull it towards you, i put as much weight as i can possibly hold onto on it and use it to stretch real good
I want to cry. I’ve spent thousands trying to get rid of this pain and this video already has helped me more than anything I’ve ever done. Thank you 😭💕
It can be such a terrible pain. (And yet with the right exercises it can be surprisingly easy to fix) I'm soooo glad it's helping! Keep at it and I'm sure it'll get even better. 🙌
I've experienced several issues over the last year, struggling at the gym and losing sleep from them. I can't turn my head to the left to look around, wake up in the night with neck pain, and am constantly conscious/paranoid throughout the day about my shoulder being rounded too far forward (making it worse by pulling it back too far). Additionally, I'm dealing with a deep burning pain in my rhomboid. Thank you so much, though. That one stretch with the head against the wall and chin down to lengthen the spine has (within 5 minutes of doing it) allowed me to turn my head left and released the tingling down my arm to my fingers. Thank you so much, doc! P.S. This must be a rewarding job. You're quite frankly changing what many of us consider chronic pain

I was very happy to find your videos. I have had pain in this area for over a year, and since then have seen four chiropractors. Not only had I been sitting with poor posture, but was sleeping on my side incorrectly (thank you for demonstrating the wrong way of sleeping on your side, as that is exactly what I was doing every night!) The doctors I saw never addressed the root cause of the problem, and just wanted to perform adjustments, thus my problems continued. I asked one doctor for exercises, and was just given a list of neck exercises, which did not help. Since doing the various exercises you have demonstrated in this video and a few of your others, I am already seeing much improvement. I had to figure out on my own that the pain was coming from the rhomboids, and then searched and found your videos. Thank you very much for taking the time to explain this common problem is detail, as I'm sure you will be helping many others was well.
@@imeldacordova7908 my problem quickly resolved once I addressed the root causes and corrected my posture and sleeping position, which were demonstrated towards the end of the video. i bought a new Recliner couch and it was the worst decision i have made , Rhomboid pain started 1 month after sitting everyday .. now i am trying to get rid of it and fix my neck and back ! thanks for this video and i will try to do the exercises
Recliner catches are okay... if you just relaxing and looking at the roof 😅or are snoozing... but if you're watching TV or reading something then they create too much rounding of the mid back.
I just did some of these and the exercises in the previous video you mentioned for forward neck posture. My whole upper back feels softer and looser already, like the blood is flowing to places it hasn't been in ages. Thank you.
You are my hero, I now know why I keep getting this pain. I have been in pain for 10 days now, did your stretches and next day pain is almost gone, Thankyou

I am only 32.. I watch a lot of videos but yours fit the best for me
I would add that I am tall almost 2m, 110kg and I must lose weight also. Furniture are made for people of 1.6m, sofa getting lower, car seat getting sporty (read shoulder forward) etc. Firm madrass at bed would be also great for back issue

The retraction alternative. WOW, YOU SHOULD'VE HEARD THE PAINLESS CREAKING GOING ON. Thank you so much. I will be trying to do these each day for my chronic pain.
I’m a 19 year old kid who hasn’t been able to go to the gym in 2 years due to pain in my right rhomboid when I retract my arms back and squeeze my shoulder blades together. I have been to a chiropractor, did PT 3 times, and received around 4 trigger point injections. Nothing seems to work, I’m going to try these out and see if I can fix my problem. A few things I do, I do have poor posture and rounded shoulders, I look down at my phone a lot, I sit a lot, and I am a side sleeper. I had an mri done on my neck and they said slight spinal canal stenosis and some a little disc bulges as well. The mri was of the right side of my neck and I have the rhomboid pain in only the right side. So im assuming they are related. My posture is truly terrible and always has been, which I believe caused my issues. Im going to give these a shot and pray for the best.
If it's that chronic, you really need to fix your posture and habits. I've got plenty of videos on that to help. Good luck. I'm sure you can do it if you're dedicated
5 years ago I broke my back and neck in 14 spots. They said it would take five years to heal. But I'm still in so much pain. I have a fusion with two rods and eight screws going from my neck to the middle of my back. I have a lot of pain in this area from the fusion. I'm going to give these exercises a try.
I honestly think that you can find relief with the right sorry if exercises but you really need to check with your doctor that you can do these exercises. Fusion of vertebrae changes things. It should be ok, done gently and carefully, but definitely check first.
@@BodyFixExercises my doctors are no help. They only want to shove pain pills down my throat. They say my only option is a pain clinic. And I know that's a lie. Never been in the pain clinic and I never will. I try to work out regularly. I'm lifting more than I ever have right now. But I can't get rid of that pain. So I think these exercises will be fine for me. I've had to start to become my own doctor because I seem to know what works better for me than my own doctors do.
@@BodyFixExercises also I've done some of this in my physical therapy. That's why I think I will be okay doing it. Thanks for the reply. I know usually it's best to always check with your doctors but I don't have much respect for mine.
you know it’s bad when doctors are so incompetent around 400k people had to watch this video just to fix their backs/shoulders - thank you for doing for me what 3 doctors couldn’t ❤️
This is the best thank you, i always see videos about lower back but this is where i feel the most pain. I sleep like that and have been a sloucher forever
Thanks a mil. I have especially pain during long bus journeys, or driving in a car longer than 1 hour. At least for 2 years Iam no longer working in an office. But there is also another drawbacks.
I am grateful for these exercises, especially when it shows alternative is that you can do while seated. I have very bad knees out. These exercises will help. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this! I tried all the exercises and will definitely continue to do them, as well as find a more solid and wider pillow to hug while I sleep on my side (biggest problem for me being the way my shoulders round/collapse in that position.. Ehlers Danlos Syndrome / hypermobile joints don't help at all). You also made me realise that I never sit in computer chairs properly. I pushed my butt back into the chair as soon as you did it. 25 year habit of sitting on the edge of the chair and contorting my legs (usually one foot up on the chair and I use my knee to rest my chin.. oh god lol).
This video let me know that i can't be doing quite a bit of things that i naturally do. I have left rhomboid strain constant, rolled left shoulder, and left ac joint is stairstepping when i relax. Im not sure if they are all different problems or all stemming of the same problem, rhomboid stiffness. Thank you for the videos
These exercises and advice are excellent and reminded me that some of these are what my physio taught me years ago. Thank you for sharing and helping us fix our rhomboid pain!
The cat-cows really help. I usually do them on hands and knees. After just a few days everything feels so much more flexible and movable. And that tip about sleeping on your back (no pillow): I wake up an inch taller!
Wow - looks like great execises! Can I do them with a skolioses on 19.7degrees in that area?? I always have problems in this area because of my skolioses..
Is it normal when trying these exercises the first time to experience increased pain in the area or is that a sign that the pain is potentially something more and worth getting a scan on? thanks for the video!
No that's not normal. If it feels sore, it's probably inflamed, so don't do the exercises. Get it checked out directly with a professional to rule out other causes.
Thank you so much for this video! Been dealing with exactly this kind of pain due to bad posture and these exercises and your explanation on causes really helped me figure out what not to do. Cheers!
I’ve actually fixed this a unique way, by strengthening the other half of my torso, aka chest at the gym. I believe my rhomboid/trap pain was caused from overcompensation due to weak anterior chain muscles 💪
Figured out the problem and started intuitively making some exercises, but now it will be much more effective! Thanks a lot! Q: Could you give any advice for a knee pain because of the rubber coverage on sportsgrounds. I like to play basketball in the park, but my knees are not. I'm doing a warm up, but still the pain is in place even without really intense trainings.
I've been trying to figure out what that spot is for months, I've been having an issue with pain, varying on both sides of my back. This is the exact area that's been bothering me, and now I know what it's called thanks to the thumbnail lol.
In my case the pain seems to go through the right arm biceps having trouble moving the right arm towards the left shoulder and to the back ,a nagging slight pain for 6 months . First thought I developed a "mouse shoulder" . When pointing the outstretched right arm towards the right , I'm hearing a rasping sound coming from the right shoulder , which might also have to do with being 70 years of age ? Hope I'm not doing the wrong exercise.

No worries Florate
Omg this truly works. I’ve been dealing with this pain almost a year. Thank you sooooo much!
No worries! Glad to help
My gratitude for your guidance, I found my sleeping position mistake, and the helpful exercises.
God bless.
🙌
This is the best thank you, i always see videos about lower back but this is where i feel the most pain. I sleep like that and have been a sloucher forever
Never too late to change your habits 👍

Glad it was helpful!
Thanks a mil. I have especially pain during long bus journeys, or driving in a car longer than 1 hour. At least for 2 years Iam no longer working in an office. But there is also another drawbacks.
Hope it helps!
I am grateful for these exercises, especially when it shows alternative is that you can do while seated. I have very bad knees out. These exercises will help. Thank you so much.
You're very welcome!
I absolutely love the way you explain the causes and the treatment of painful muscles. Thank you very much.
Thank you! That's very kind
As J😅😊😊
Knee to rest your chin? Yeah, not high on the ergonomic checklist, that one. 😉
At least you're more aware now. Good on you. 👍
I will keep referring back to this video until I have these stretches down. Thank you for your videos. These are so helpful and wonderfully explained!
Thanks Loretta!

Great to hear!
Awesome. Thanks for sharing such a concise approach to this issue.
Glad it was helpful!
They sound related. Check out the upper attachment of your Pecs to your clavicle to start...

👍👍👍
Thank you doctor , i am suffering from this , god bless you
My pleasure!
These exercises and advice are excellent and reminded me that some of these are what my physio taught me years ago. Thank you for sharing and helping us fix our rhomboid pain!
Thank you. This is very informative and helpful
No worries!
Thank you sir! The office lengthening exercise is my favorite! Anything dealing like this feels so good! I basically sleep like 7:05. Bad, bad habit!
You can change your sleeping habits. I did. Just takes a while
I woke up with this pain and now I see a video on my recommended list? Uhhhh I havent even spoke a word today.
😳
Great! Good to follow instructions. Thanks
You bet!
The cat-cows really help. I usually do them on hands and knees. After just a few days everything feels so much more flexible and movable.
And that tip about sleeping on your back (no pillow): I wake up an inch taller!
Brilliant advice
Cheers!
My job is driving around in the car I have the same issue thanks for the video
Yes, driving can be a contributing factor
I'm watching this video in the same wrong posture, 😭 He caught me off-guard real good
🤣 At least you know now
Bless this man.
YOURE GREAT MAM

Wow - looks like great execises! Can I do them with a skolioses on 19.7degrees in that area?? I always have problems in this area because of my skolioses..
Yes, if you can do them pain free
Is it normal when trying these exercises the first time to experience increased pain in the area or is that a sign that the pain is potentially something more and worth getting a scan on?
thanks for the video!
No that's not normal. If it feels sore, it's probably inflamed, so don't do the exercises. Get it checked out directly with a professional to rule out other causes.
Loved this video! Thanks for sharing 👁️🌟
No probs. Thanks for your comment!
Thank you so much for this video! Been dealing with exactly this kind of pain due to bad posture and these exercises and your explanation on causes really helped me figure out what not to do. Cheers!
You're very welcome!
I have problems in this area since more than 5 years :( I will try the exercises every day and hope it will take the pain away
Good luck with it, M A!
Guys, I subscribed completely because of the 7 second 51 second wink discharge
🤔🤷🏼♂️
In-depth video 👍
🙌
Informative video. Can this pain increase when sneezing or taking a deep breath?
Yes, because that moves the rib joints
I’ve actually fixed this a unique way, by strengthening the other half of my torso, aka chest at the gym. I believe my rhomboid/trap pain was caused from overcompensation due to weak anterior chain muscles 💪
Interesting!
Thank you mate, been helping more then any doctor has so far
Cheers, Mr. Toes
I noticed that your black pillow seems pretty firm. What type is it? I just discovered your videos recently and I'm bingeing them! Thank you!
Thanks so much your. Video help me a lot ,
Very glad to hear it helped!
Thanks for the very informative video!
Glad it was helpful!
Great to hear!
Knees... Look at this first.

I've been trying to figure out what that spot is for months, I've been having an issue with pain, varying on both sides of my back. This is the exact area that's been bothering me, and now I know what it's called thanks to the thumbnail lol.
thumbnails can be handy sometimes! no need for words
this way to sleep is my way and that is why I was looking for pain relief
Well, I hope the exercises make you feel better
wow. it really helped me. Amazing.
Glad to hear that!
Very good, doctor, thank you for recommending me.👍👍🙏
No worries! 🙌
