      For shoulder blade pain, i do a machine that is like a pad in your chest and you grab a wishbone with your hands far away from your chest and pull it towards you, i put as much weight as i can possibly hold onto on it and use it to stretch real good

    I've experienced several issues over the last year, struggling at the gym and losing sleep from them. I can't turn my head to the left to look around, wake up in the night with neck pain, and am constantly conscious/paranoid throughout the day about my shoulder being rounded too far forward (making it worse by pulling it back too far). Additionally, I'm dealing with a deep burning pain in my rhomboid. Thank you so much, though. That one stretch with the head against the wall and chin down to lengthen the spine has (within 5 minutes of doing it) allowed me to turn my head left and released the tingling down my arm to my fingers. Thank you so much, doc!
    P.S. This must be a rewarding job. You're quite frankly changing what many of us consider chronic pain

    I was very happy to find your videos. I have had pain in this area for over a year, and since then have seen four chiropractors. Not only had I been sitting with poor posture, but was sleeping on my side incorrectly (thank you for demonstrating the wrong way of sleeping on your side, as that is exactly what I was doing every night!) The doctors I saw never addressed the root cause of the problem, and just wanted to perform adjustments, thus my problems continued. I asked one doctor for exercises, and was just given a list of neck exercises, which did not help. Since doing the various exercises you have demonstrated in this video and a few of your others, I am already seeing much improvement. I had to figure out on my own that the pain was coming from the rhomboids, and then searched and found your videos. Thank you very much for taking the time to explain this common problem is detail, as I'm sure you will be helping many others was well.

No doctor I saw ever addressed that. I still do the stretching exercises now and then , but what has helped the most is continuing to stay mindful of my posture on a daily basis, so the problem doesn’t return. Best wishes.

      @@ShannaM1 I used a hammer or a plastic water bottle with 1/3 maybe 1/4 of water in it. You just rest your elbow in 90degrees,on an flat armchair,while siting having the rest of the arm and hand free. Then you just start lifting slowly the hammer from the Horizontal position, to a vertical doing a 90 degree motion. I can't remember how many times you do that, but I started with something like 6. Then the next day I added 2 more. If you have doing any weight lifting, then you know how to do it properly, but it's still super easy..Check again this comment, I'll try to find the video I watched, and link it here!

      @@ShannaM1 Watch all this. I also did a simple massage to warm up the muscles, by Rubbing the muscleos with my hand. You just grip the forearm muscles near the elbow, and you rub with pressure from inside to outside. It goes like this, it's like you grabbing the muscles that hurt, with a power of 6.5 out of 10 strength, just enough pressure, so that the hand can also slide towards the outer part,( maybe a tiny bit of oil, will help! The massage move is like if you want to show the ring on your fingers, to the floor, It was a woman doctor on RUclips, showing this. 5 reps massage, and a bit more with the bottle, is what I did, once or twice a day, for 3 days. The 3d day, 95% of the pain, had dissapeared!!!!

    I’m a 19 year old kid who hasn’t been able to go to the gym in 2 years due to pain in my right rhomboid when I retract my arms back and squeeze my shoulder blades together. I have been to a chiropractor, did PT 3 times, and received around 4 trigger point injections. Nothing seems to work, I’m going to try these out and see if I can fix my problem. A few things I do, I do have poor posture and rounded shoulders, I look down at my phone a lot, I sit a lot, and I am a side sleeper. I had an mri done on my neck and they said slight spinal canal stenosis and some a little disc bulges as well. The mri was of the right side of my neck and I have the rhomboid pain in only the right side. So im assuming they are related. My posture is truly terrible and always has been, which I believe caused my issues. Im going to give these a shot and pray for the best.

    The cat-cows really help. I usually do them on hands and knees. After just a few days everything feels so much more flexible and movable.
    And that tip about sleeping on your back (no pillow): I wake up an inch taller!

    Is it normal when trying these exercises the first time to experience increased pain in the area or is that a sign that the pain is potentially something more and worth getting a scan on?
    thanks for the video!

    • @BodyFixExercises
      @BodyFixExercises  Год назад +1

      No that's not normal. If it feels sore, it's probably inflamed, so don't do the exercises. Get it checked out directly with a professional to rule out other causes.

    I’ve actually fixed this a unique way, by strengthening the other half of my torso, aka chest at the gym. I believe my rhomboid/trap pain was caused from overcompensation due to weak anterior chain muscles 💪

    Q: Could you give any advice for a knee pain because of the rubber coverage on sportsgrounds. I like to play basketball in the park, but my knees are not. I'm doing a warm up, but still the pain is in place even without really intense trainings.

    In my case the pain seems to go through the right arm biceps having trouble moving the right arm towards the left shoulder and to the back ,a nagging slight pain for 6 months . First thought I developed a "mouse shoulder" . When pointing the outstretched right arm towards the right , I'm hearing a rasping sound coming from the right shoulder , which might also have to do with being 70 years of age ? Hope I'm not doing the wrong exercise.
