    Hi, I’m new here… I’m also good now but I did experience crown breakage and later thining… was a regular salon goer like clock work but decided to be responsible for my own hair and got my last perm in 2018 … BIG CHOPPED down to a man’s cut… loved it!! Then came Covid… started letting my strands grow and my hair is presently thriving!!! Lots of RUclips videos but ultimately paid attention to my own hair and what worked and didn’t work … I’m 62 yrs young and menopause/No Estrogen is a beast…Thanks for sharing this info ✌🏾💕

    Thanks for all the great tips!! I recently started changing up my parts. I always do my hair is 6 twist. I had been noticing my crown hair is definitely a different texture, its more fragile and very tight curls. The tightest curl pattern on my head.
    My front is like 3c and the side 4a/4b and the back is definitely 4b. Now the crown is like what I'm thinking is a 4c and its my tender spot.
    My goodness I'm tender headed 😳.
    I use all ur products except your bars only because I have so many herbs here I can literally make them my self. But your conditioners and creams are game changer and I use both lines on every wash day.
    Thanks for sharing your knowledge

      Oh, thank you so much, and I appreciate your support. I think for a lot of people the crown area is just completely different. Even though my CCCA is good, that texture still remains completely different than the others.

    I found out by way of breaking a bone in my foot while running that my D3 was critical..I'm a 12.5 where I should be 30. I noticed a difference in my hair but thought it was just not caring for it as I should so I slapped a relaxer in it. I'm growing the relaxer out back to my routine consistency in 14wk transition barely any shedding. And I take D3 weekly I'll be tested in a few months to see if my level is back normal. I did have covid a year ago...I don't think I had and hair loss again I guess it could have been slowly and I didn't realize.
    My biggest mistake when I was natural was listening to so video and was using a demi brush while in the shower..I'd never done that before my hair was combing badly. That was my setback ugh... I'm high porosity 4a.
    BTW excellent video

    I recently suffered a huge setback and I believe it’s due to the stress level of my new job. Now I just want to cut it all off. I am doing massages with your DHT oil every day and I am taking this omg I can’t think of the name of it right now 😂😂😂 but it helps stop the shedding phase😂😂 I can’t believe the name has not come to me yet.. let me get outta here cause I’m late. MSM is what I couldn’t think of.. I’m getting old 😂

    Great information!!!!! After COVID I got blood work done and my iron was much lower than normal. I noticed thinning and breakage only in my crown along with an itchy scalp. I have added an iron supplement to my regimen and I have been doing bi-weekly auyverdic mask. I feel like I need a get a trim but it's only my crown that bothers me the most.

    • @NowIAmNappy
      @NowIAmNappy  Год назад +2

      It will take time, because there’s iron, and then there is ferritin stores, and if they are low, it will still cause shedding. So be patient, with time your hair will get back to normal. Happy hair growing sis.

    I don't know what to do about my ccca. I wish using a steroid lotion prescribed by The Physician but really didn't notice much and was never told when to stop using it or to come back but I'm wondering what other options. You say that you had that type of alopecia but it sounds as though you easily cured it when many say that is a permanent type of loss. I really don't know what caused it

    • @NowIAmNappy
      @NowIAmNappy  Год назад +2

      Have you got a blood test from your doctor, many people experienced CCCA because of vitamin deficiencies I would say probably one of the number one causes have you had your iron and vitamin D levels checked?

    Hi i had braids for 3 weeks and i used glycerin and sprayed rosemary water everyday on my braids after i removed the braids i noticed that i lost a lot of hair that fit into my hand😢 what do you think was the cause of my hair breakage.

    • @zazaiowens1407
      @zazaiowens1407 Год назад +4

      Hi. I’m sorry to hear that. I usually wear my braids for three months at a time, and have the normal hair shed. Are you gentle with your hair during braid take down? I would suggest talking with your doctor, or see a dermatologist. Also, look at your lifestyle. If you’re dealing with any life-changing events, that can definitely effect your hair.

    • @NowIAmNappy
      @NowIAmNappy  Год назад

      Were the braids too tight? Also we generally shed abou 50-100 strands per day so 3 weeks can be a significant amount of shed hair. Was this more than you normally shed?

      Again you show no research to back up your claims, meanwhile scientific studies show that it is dht on the scalp the shrink’s hair follicles and causes hair loss
