      @@KarenofCurlHouse I kept my hair in plaits for 2 years. I didn’t shampoo my hair on a basis. When I silk pressed my hair, I was so surprised. It’s longer, now. I started back last month plaiting my hair again. My hair is thick. I never had thick hair. I’m 71!💕

    Love!! THIS video is excellent (per usual). Im going to make that humectant mixture! ALSO… can we also get the link for the wig lol I’m not doing crochet braids for a year while I restore and revive my natural hair. It’s been an amazing 5 months! I would love a good wig to wear while I let my twist out set! TIA… LASTLY LOL is a diffuser considered “heat” I thought to start using on my hair but I’m trying to be heat free in between seeing my stylist!

    You hit everything dead on the head. Most of the things you said could break your hair off. I realized it a few weeks ago. What i can't get now is the right comb and brush. I've bought every kind there is. They still pulls my hair strands.

    • @marleyhill34
      @marleyhill34 5 месяцев назад +4

      I use a seamless wide toothed comb and I divide my hair into 20 sections to detangle once a week with leave in detangler and leave in conditioner. I do not detangle in the shower on wet hair. My hair is ultra-fine and weakest when wet.

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  5 месяцев назад +1

      Have you tried a wooden comb? It was a gamechanger for me! Check out this video if you haven't seen it already: ruclips.net/video/NUmlXAD_UNU/видео.html

    Hi Karen! I have a question about detangling with wet hair. I've noticed more hair fall if I try to detangle in the shower and I've also read that since our hair is weakest when wet that isn't the best time to detangle. Would you suggest using a particular oil to detangle?

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  5 месяцев назад +2

      Hey there! Yes, hair is weakest when its wet, but its also the most pliable, so its been to detangle on wet hair. I suggest slathering your hair which alot of conditioner (rinse out), then detangle. Make sure you are using the right detangling tools as well. I've talked about this in several videos. There may help:

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  5 месяцев назад

      HI there! Many times medications create deficiencies within your body that lead to hair loss. Look what the medication to determine what deficiency its creating and supplement it. This is what I teach in my Let's Get Growing program as well. You can learn more about it at curlhouseacademy.com/ and you can join the waitlist.

    Hi Karen, Can a provitamin leave in conditioner and gel be enough hydration for styling? I have high porosity hair and I notice my hair does not like alot of products layered on it.

    • @KarenofCurlHouse
      @KarenofCurlHouse  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey there! Absolutely, particularly if the gel has moisturizing ingredients in them such of glycerin, aloe, honey, etc. Many styling gel double as moisturizers because of the ingredients.

      I don't use tap water. There's too many chemicals and minerals in my local tap water. Use distilled water.
