WOW!!! For those angels to be showing that kind of color in the bag is amazing, that shows the quality of those angels. I wouldn't expect anything less from Steve Rybicki, from what I understand he's one of the best in the Angels business. It's a good sign when they start cleaning the slate. Good luck with these guys I hope the breed soon for you.
Don't worry about the long videos brother.... I personally loved them so much In fact Any angles fish lover will always loves this type of long videos... Keep uploading bro Stay safe
Thank you, I was worrying that all my videos are long and I try to keep it between 20-30 minutes. I think you'll enjoy the next video I have for next week!
That sunset angel is stunning!! I miss having my angels so much which is part of the reason I love you and your channel so much. I am excited to see how this breeding project goes; I may have to see if a tank is in my future for a couple of your beauties. Take care & keep up the great content.
I just received pair 3253. I was a bit skeptical, but man the color is outstanding. I am trying to get into breeding different fish myself. Currently working on killifish, rice fish, rainbows and neocaridinas. Angels will be my new thing to see if I can get any fry.
Congrats on getting two great fish ! What a coupe. I just joined the lineup for a pair of offspring. 😃 I’d just like to add that I like your videos very much. You are always so laidback and welcoming and you always centre on breeding. With breeding you are looking for future research and possible results, so it can be a good, positive subject to dwell on. You get me so enthused, man! So keep up the great work. It is so much appreciated. ☮️🇨🇦 BTW, do you ship your fish to Canada (Toronto) ? If so, how do I connect with you ? I know that shipping is expensive, but sometimes that’s not so much of a worry when it’s for your hobby.
Thank you for the motivating words. I have not yet tried to ship fish out of the country, I'll definitely ask my carrier the next time I swing by. I'm glad that you enjoy my videos, I think you'll like this new upcoming one!
I have bred these guys already, and they are up on my free giveaway option and will soon be available. Check out my latest video on my channel "What is a Dantum angelfish?" And the babies will be featured at the end of the video. At first, it was difficult breeding these guys, but as I adjusted my breeding technique, they breed just like any angelfish and in my hard 7.8 ph water.
Nice fish! I bought some before and the colors faded with time to a deep orange instead of an orange red despite good maintenance. Can you do a follow up in a few months so I can see how the colors on yours maintains?
@@amazonianangelfish My big question is why is it that we can’t maintain the red orange coloration like Steve. I tried, in my opinion, some very high quality foods too. Interested to see your take.
@ZipMaiFlai that we won't ever know. In the past, before I got really involved in angelfish, I visited a local breeder with thousands of angelfishes, and his kois was spectacular. He kept a secret about his angels, and it involved the food that he fed. Just speculatuon and my opinion, and I may be wrong, but if we feed the exact same food Steve feed, then the color will be maintained. His food can also be bought from his website as well. Check it out.
Hello, welcome to my channel. I'm from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I ship all throughout the United States. You can privately message me thru Facebook messenger.
beginner question here. what's the difference between "red devil angel" and a Koi angel fish? they seem to be so similar.. specially adults. ive seen "red devil" not so red that it looks like "koi" and ive seen "Koi" thats very red that it looks like red devil
Koi is the standard for calling any angelfish that is genetically coded with 2 stripeless genes and 2 gold-marble genes. Each koi will have their own markings and their own intensiness of redness. The reder they are, they are marketed as "red devils" but still are genetically just a koi. "Red devil" will fetch a higher price than "koi" that's why they use the marketing name. Humble breeders will just say Koi for what they are, while fish shop will use "red devil"
How do you pair the male/female with other fishes if they have been paired ? I got to know that angel fish pair for life. Is it possible to pair the female with other male after she has already paired with some male ?
The word "pair" is misunderstood. It was taught to us that angelfish would "pair" for life. However, in the wild, they are opportunistic animals that will pair with other angels. Most of the time, putting a male with a female will "pair" them, and them being opportunistic, they will breed. However, just because they "pair" and breed does not mean that they will be compatible. And just because they "pair" does not mean they will breed because 2 males or 2 females can pair.
@@amazonianangelfish WOW ! Thanks for this, highly appreciated the answer. Looking forward to your KOI breeding projects and also following your angel fish breeding playlist !
@Y_G Thank you for your subscription! I won't disappoint you. There's a lot of information so it'll take some time and I want to make it good for everyone here. Like we all know, good contents comes with time. Please be patient.
Those angelfish are stunning 😍. Why do you say that these angelfish aren’t for the beginner hobbyist ? Is it simply because of the price of them or are they really delicate, that if you look at them the wrong way, they’ll ☠️🪦. Not being sarcastic, just a genuine question as I was looking into buying those exact fish.
Steve house them in the cleanest and highest quality environment, basically sterile. If a beginner buys them and does not have any experience with keeping fish, there is a high chance that the fish might not make it. They are strong and healthy, but if the keeper does not know what to do when problems arise, then there's very little that can be done. Usually, beginners either do not quarantine and bring in pathogens, don't have any experience with the nitrogen cycle, or even do water change on a regular basis. Sure, they'll live for a while, but eventually, they'll die, just like discus with the majority of the people keeping them loose interest and don't maintain them.
@@amazonianangelfish I understand what you mean now. My plan is to house them in a 150 gallon aquarium, that will be heavily planted. Substrate will be close to 4” deep. Filtration will be a sump. The sump will have a freshwater refugium. Weekly water changes will be done on the 150. It will be a community aquarium. Cory catfish, rummy nose tetras, bristle nose plecos , cherry shrimp plus amanos. I will 100% quarantine them before I add them to the aquarium. I’ll probably use Aquarium Co-ops med trio for quarantining
hey kham I’m going in a vacation for 1 month , I have 6 angels and 2 of em are adults (all of em are diff species) im giving em to my friend to be taken care of and is it advisable to put all of them in 10 gal tank (only spare available tank) what do you think?
I don't suggest you doing that. A 10 gallon is too small for any fish, especially adults. Setting up a new 10 gallon with that amount of fish is not good for ammonia levels as well. I suggest you getting automatic fish feeder from amazon for $16 each if I remember correctly. Put that on and test it until it comes out the right amount and you should be safe.
@@amazonianangelfish alright but for 1 month without maintenance will be ok plus with the auto feeder? Cause I’m just afraid the auto feeder might spike the water because of all the uneaten food
@@red9895 How big are the tanks that they are currently in? You can control the amount of food that the feeder puts in the tank. I've been away for a month, and with the feeder the 40 breeders are fine. Smaller tanks might have the spike but it is better than cramming 6 angles into the uncycled 10 gallon.
@Red they should be fine with the feeder, just watch it for a couple days while it feeds and control the amount being put into the tank. Less is better. And do a 50% water change weekly from now until before you go, with a last 50% water change on the last day.

Definitely! I already know that they are going to fade 100%. However, it is up to us to maintain the color. I think it's the food that we feed.
