As far as i know mansa mousa I who was a muslim African in Mali was the richest man in history. Islam gave rights to africans, they became richer than anyone in the world and they were equal to every other muslim bc we are one ummah.

Perhaps you should read what malcom X said after he went to mecca to do hajj, he was dealing with racism all his life in the US ( he was one of the main reasons of the black rights and equality we see today) but only 2 weeks in mecca showed him that a black and a white could be brothers, equals under this religion of islam

Jizya is the protection contract of the non muslims so thaf no one can harm them to force them to accept islam.
The Muslims had to pay more (zakat) which is 2.5% of your wealth each year plus the charity they need to give all the year.
The jews had to pay waaaaay less yet they got protected but the law of jizya. They could even have tjeir own court and judge according to their own laws without the muslims bothering them

Some people hate seeing themselves as victims, so they make excuses for people's racism. It's not uncommon. It's a survival mechanism. I did that for years. But now I stand against it as it's another form of condoning injustice. Not addressing the problem makes it grow more. It doesn't serve society as a whole.
Subhanallah I just find it really sad....i hope what they're going through and seeing every religion, country and colour is fighting for them on the other side makes themselves revalued how they are to ppl in their country....shame

Furthermore I think the world forgets who created civilisation and that was the people of Egypt and they were coloured and those egyptians educated the first Greeks who in time educated western Europe and the rest of the Mediterranean
I personally think that the original Arabs that were dark skinned obviously because they are from the desert should be treated with respect because they are the ones that created Arabic culture and language and I really don't think the term black Arab should be allowed to be used
White Arab can be used but only when referring to the fact that they are not original Arabs they were conquered, colonised and educated and taught religion by the original Arabic people

I personally am part English and one quarter Italian/Greek and one of quater Egyptian and my Egyptian relatives do look similar to African people to be honest
I personally have always believed that the original Arabs are of African decent and they mixed with the middle eastern people at that time and them people were also of colour and that mix of the two races became the original Arabic people

Unfortunately, racism is very widespread in Arab countries. In wealthy countries like Saudi Arabia or the UAE, there is a racial hierarchy with Arabs at the top and blacks at the bottom. Arabs do not support the marriage of their children with blacks, only for black skin color, although these black people are their Muslim brothers. And the governments of these countries are satisfied with such a system.
Not just blacks. Indians, Pakistanis and Bengalis.

Also, there is racism issue in the Arab community, but that does not mean all Arabs are racist though. There are so many kind anti-racist Arabs. What did they do or say?
As someone who is white and fell in love with a Palestinian women, which ultimately led to her father not allowing her to speak to me again because of the color of my skin and race, I can confirm from personal experience that racism is a huge problem in the Palestinian community. She comes from a huge family and they are all like that. Now don't get me wrong I'm no saint but, I wouldnt say I'm a bad human. I learned her culture, fasted during Ramadan with her, tried my hardest to learn the language and even started to find my faith. Just kinda sucks that I was judged because of my skin and not my character. Hopefully things change.

For example; Germans vs Russians, English versus French, South africans versus Zimbabweans etc. Racism is the belief that racial differences produce the inherent superiority or inferiority of a particular race. Two different things. One can be a xenophobe and not a racist and vice versa, and one can be both. Today people incorrectly throw the word racism at everything.

I as an Arab, agree with your answer! Black is the definition of beauty and joy. However a majority of humans should look down at certain types of people whether their black or white, Asian or Arab, tall or short....and so on and I am greatly *disappointed* in us a s a society! I would like to tell all my brother and sister that you are beautiful whether you are blue, green, orange, or white! Furthermore, you should NOT care about what other people think because there thoughts are NOT facts, there just pointless opinions. Why waste our time on this planet spending our days arguing with each other instead of building each other up, in the vast cosmos our problems seem small

Arab community suffers from colorism so much. I was always a rather brown person and people used to say that im not so pretty because im dark. (update): i don't people to think that the arab world is so negative and full of racism and such. I was rather sharing my experrience with colorism bc it definitely exists here. But there are also a lot of arabs who are very good people ❤️

I am a black person as you can see, but I think we, black people just should not let what other people think or do to us because of the color of our skin bother us. We cannot change our appearance, and my appearance does not bother me. I love who I am. The rest is for those people to deal with. Life is full of interesting and meaningful things to do.

Racism in the Arab world is a very big issue. First time I ever experienced racism was in my birth country Sudan I was around 8 years old by some Sudanese kid around my age because am a south Sudanese mind you that was way before the separation and I carry that with to this day. It got worse when we moved to Egypt I can never forget those days

Just because they are in the Israeli government army doesn’t mean they can’t experience discrimination based on their skin color. Just because you don’t personally experience racism doesn’t mean it isn’t happening in Israel, or elsewhere… Also, Afro bedouins are African people with a Arab/nomadic lifestyle and culture. And even they still get discriminated by white Arabs.

I'm black Muslim. The first time I went to a Muslim country , I was happy because I thought I would see the people that shares the race of our beloved prophet , peace be upon him . The country, the food and people was wonderful. The racism made me feel like if I were for some of them , less than an animal.

I am an arab and unfortunately racism is such a thing in the arab world. I wouldn't consider it racism tho more like an inferiority complex, you will hear your whole life people saying o wow she or he is white and blonde so beautiful and then they will tell darker skinned arabs thing like "you are beautiful but only if you were whiter" or "dark skinned is half the beauty" they even would feel sorry for you. They don't hate you tho , it's just they feel sad for you. I heard my whole life women wishing their kids will be born white. Even hair texture is criticized, they even call straight hair soft and othere hair types rough. This is sad and make many children feel insecure about them self. Arabs come in all tones and colours, and since the majority is olive skinned or brown skinned this is a huge problem for many.
This goes even further to foreign workers. White europeans are paid more than people from bangladesh or india even if they are not better for the job.
I hope this will change soon. This inferiority complex makes me sick, I really want us to appreciate our folks and be proud of our looks, but not make it all about it tho. I just mean people from all over the world not just arabs admire european features when they really are unique in their own way.
For me personally best looking people and this is just my opinion I know everyone got different taste are somalis and sudanese
