@@James-sp4ir I'll answer you with what worked for me 1. the + button twice is really the best way, the trick is to put the object to the arrow and not aim, leave link normal, because the glitch works only if it is done in the same frame both times so if you're still you wont have this problem. 2. if you equip shield and sword I don't know why but it's more likely to work. and sorry I dont speak english so well

What I tried to make this more consistent is facing down on stairs as it seems it’s also based on the bows hitting the ground, plus it makes the 2 bows you use come rolling back to you easier. But also press the + button twice again after dropping the 2nd bow to go back in the menu fast enough for it to actually duplicate
This is great. Thank you! In botw I never worried about diamonds, they were rare, but you only needed one at a time..now they drop less and you need 3 of them at a time. Not a cool change. This solved that, and fortunately the Revali amiibo drops swallow bows often enough to keep a couple on hand. Thanks again!!

Tried doing a similar glitch to copy the shield from someone else's video and it never worked, but listening to yours, I was able to do the item and also the shield... having all 3 types of weapons equipped I think is the crucial part.
Thanks for this. I got the ++ timing down quickly, but having a small to medium shield equipped was my sticking point. At first I had an Old Wooden shield with a flame emitter attached. That wouldn’t allow the glitch to work. Broke it off and I was hood to go.
Golden tip, go into your settings and go to controller settings to remap your controller, i remapped + to X and it's much easier to press, especially if you're using joycon
Another tip for anyone, I noticed that if you use a material that you one have 1 of. If you do the glitch right, but you don’t see it when you press up on Dpad. It is because it resorted the item, you should have 2, if it’s only 1 you probably have to go faster.

I figured out if ur holding the fire button while doing the entire thing the timing window is way bigger and u can pretty much do it anywhere not just on stairs, i get it almost everytime like this
Here’s a bit different way that worked for me more consistently. You need four bows. -Always equip the bow in your 1st slot - after dropping the first bow, equip the next bow do the unpause/pause then drop the bows in the second and third slot before dropping the bow on the first slot(the duping one) -pick up the bows in the center first (the 1st and 4th) and then the other ones. Also use the plus button not the b button to exit out of the menu every time. *Extra info: This makes it so the duping bow lands on top of the first bow you dropped that had the item. I tested it out and noticed the order the bows drop if you drop them one by one normally from the menu. 1st bow center, then right then left then the 4th bow repeats on the center. Like others have mentioned getting both bows to land on top of each other seems to be the thing. Physics seems to also count where I’ve had the 4th bow land on top of the 1st and then slide off and it won’t work.
Came back to say this WORKS. It’s not that complicated and super consistent. Otherwise, try standing in a corner where the bows are more likely to stack
FYI, in times where it’s not working I’ve noticed it’s because I’m pressing ++ too fast. It is possible to press it too fast with the pause screen still popping up

I found the way! Keep loading the same items to the arrow fast to get the green animation to lag a bit and then hit the plus button to do the first drop. That little lag helped me a ton !
Easiest and most clear guide out of all dupe glitch videos, because most people want you to rush that green animation to guarantee it, plus it didn't work, your ZR method is way more clear that the item is duplicated, thanks for this.
It’s all in the timing of the double menu click. Link is putting the arrow away and if you have it paused after the double click with the item over links right shoulder, it worked. I’m assuming that animation had dead space where the item exists in the world but wasn’t necessarily attached to anything anymore because the animation is putting the item away….. so it “drops to the floor” once we switch weapons canceling the animation while the item is in limbo over links shoulder
Going back looking at the vid I’m not sure why my game only does it when the item appears randomly during that animation and the author is just standing their blankly XD ffs
Ok guys, for those saying that is already patched it isn't! I had the same problemb of being able to duplicate the image but not the item. Just keep trying!! It really does work!
The speed seems to be different and more difficult on certain items. Luminous stones are hard, while stuff like amber and Star Fragments are pretty easy. The timing is different and smaller/wider between different items too. I've found that if both bows stack on the ground but it didn't work, you did it too fast, and if the bows are spread apart you did it too slow. Some items just seem to take millions of tries before I even get one duplication, while others are so wide I can do 7 or 8 in a row without messing up. I might analyze what makes it tick but I'd need help making a video for it if people are interested.
This is what I was looking for, proof I’m not crazy lol. I got +7 diamonds so fast, and I’ve been stuck on #8 for like 15 attempts now despite it appearing like I did everything correctly
I believe the bows have to land on top of each other, I built two walls to my sides so the bows have so drop right behind me and only on top of each other then it finally worked
Whether or not the item shows up on my bow in the menu doesn't seem to matter for me. Loads of times it'll show up on my second bow in the menu but I have no extra material in my inventory. Sort of frustrating, but I'm still exploiting the hell out of this glitch while I have it. Cheers on showing how to turn off auto updates. I was about to tell my switch to forget my wifi info lol
I think what makes it trigger more is once your about to drop the second bow you gotta quickly exit with menu button, so it’s drop and quickly exist, I seem to get every time I do this.

this is working!! After switching into normal shield and sword equipped instead of fused weapons and also the bows has to be of the same type so they stack up nicely is working every time for me! Unless I mess up on my own
@@harrisberuauguaan8961 this is what i did. I teleported to the shrine with flat grassy area and equipped small fused shield, and non fused sword. Than i did the following steps (normal speed) 1. Click on Zr bring out bow and than fuse item to the arrow 2. Open inventory 3. Drop the equipped bow 4. Equip second bow 5. Breath 😂, this is where you have to press + + really fast, 6. Once done, you should see the fused item still attached to the arrow 7. Drop the second bow and press b to exit the menu 8. You should see 1 bow stacked on top to another 9. Press up to check if your item is duplicated 10. Collect your bow and repeat I just tried this now 5 times and worked every time. Hope this tip helps
Seems random? I tried 20 times in a row with B and 19 failed, tried with + and 16 succeeded. Could be confirmation bias but both attempts had the same success in opening the menu fast enough (link still had the item on his actual ingame model)
Nah that's not it. I just did it 20 times in a row using b and worked everytime. I feel like the important part is what shield and sword you have equipped.
I had hylian shield and traveller sword 1. Zr tap to take out bow don't aim. 2. Press up d pad, select material to dupe 3. Press + go to bow highlight in blue equip it, drop bow dnt exit menu. 4. Select another bow equip it, press + button in quick succession not to fast. 5. You will see material attached means it worked. Drop it and collect both stack bows behind you.( I did it on flat area). Tip, Aim with shield with sword out in the beginning if bows arent stacking behind you and make sure after ++ when dropping 2nd bow the description text of bow completes "knights at hyrule castle" then drop bow.
Another tip, it works better if you have a sword that doesn't have anything attached / fused to it, and that its an actual sword, as in it has sword in the name.
Just weird not always that the bows stacks on top of each other even though i press + double like you have to. But i still got it to work some times. Hopefully an even better method is found

I’ve tried doing the glitch with two different bows, as well as trying it with a two-handed weapon. All that seems to matter is that your shield has nothing fused to it.
i was doing OK with this setup, but then got more consistency when I equipped a sword with a spike ball on it. CONSIDERABLY. Maybe a bulky weapon helps?
After experimenting with this trick, I have determined the following: Yes, it works as of 8:00 PM EDT 05/17/2023 and that MAYBE facing downstairs helps. What the real trick is having the second bow drop almost directly on top of the first and NOT off to the side. So, those narrow stairs near the garrison entries atop the castle wall helps greatly.
Ive been practicing with a like like stone i only have 2 of the ice ones - easy to track, did everything correctly - twice and still only have two stones 😢 help
The shield and sword seem to matter. I had a royal shield with a fused minecart equipped and could not get the glitch to work. Changing to a non-fused sword and shield made the difference. Thanks for the break down 👍
GREAT VIDEO, VERY EZ TO FOLLOW AND UNDERSTAND!! Note.... This works in 1.1.0 consistently if you follow this video's instructions. Glitch still works in 1.1.1 but inconsistent though. Works enough for me to duplicate like 30 Rubies before the glitch was becoming inconsistent.
Switching to a smaller shield and using same bows definately did it for me, with a large shield I failed 75% of the time. Pressing plus plus still has to be fast though.
one small complaint: im not sure if there is a way to fix it but i cant dupe large zonai charges edit: nevermind, it just seems to be a bit more finicky another edit: seems to work best with a boomerang
I was doing this while riding a dragon. I did it correctly but I was not seeing an increase in quantity. Is the glitch not able to work while riding a dragon? Edit: Nevermind needed to change Shields...Equipped Hylian Shield.
This doesnt work for me. Ive gotten the visual have having the item on the second bow like 100 times but when i drop it amd exit the menu it didnt work
Having the shield and sword equipped is vital to the glitch. I was happily diamonds without issue, went and and did some things which caused me to not have a sword and shield equipped. Glitch stopped working even though I could see the item on the second bow. Watched this video, equipped the sword and board, working like a charm.
If you are just after rupees just get 1 diamond then do this with it 500 rupees per success though I find that items with animations like a star fragment for whatever reason are a bit easier to pull it off with so if you have a hard time that is an alternate that still gets you 200 per.
credit to @BLAINES Some tips that will make this MUCH more consistent: - Have a sword and shield equipped aswell. - Dont move around between bow drops - Use the same type of bows if possible (this one is HUGE. Not just 3x's or singles. but the EXACT same bow. any 2 of the same will do) - Make sure to hit + + fast enough
This is the best tip I've seen. I could get them to stack but it would rarely cause the dupe. I switched to MS and a non fused shield and now it works every single time. Using same bow as well. Appreciate ya
So why is it when I pause and upause I see the item on the second bow, I drop it and it won’t duplicate? It works at times but not always **IMPORTANT EDIT FOR EVERYONE** Make sure the bows STACK and let it drop then pick it up!! If it’s not stack you didn’t do it right!
I feel stupid… I am the only one that cannot get this to work. I am able to get the timing on the plus plus to get the items onto the arrow but when I drop the item and press plus again the item never duplicates. I’m on the right version too. I just can’t make this work lol

What if bows dont stack i tried just dropping to of the same bow and multiple different bows but they would never wtack even when i wasnt doing the glitch
So after a few tries with diamond, here are my conclusions : This technique is way faster than any of those i watched on RUclips, pkus the glitch only happens once per duplication, so no need to repeat it multiple times during one duplication like others i saw It does work in the latest version 1.1.1 The main indicator of wether it worked or not are the bows, if they're stacked after the manipulation, then it worked, if not, then it didn't As said in the video, there is no visible timing, it will become muscular memory, if it can help, note that i do it with the B then + combo, as it's trickier to double click on the same button after the first input is done in the game Any shield is fine, for the weapon a sword is probably better than anything else And finally, practice the + then B or the double + inputs before trying it, to basically "feel" when the game is ready to open the menu again and to basically memorize the window for the second input, do it multiple times repeatedly for about one minute tops, and then you should get the thing I think this is all that must be know before doing the glitch, tho it's always better to play legit, but if anyone has anything to add please do not hesitate, me or someone will probably test it and will feedback

Yes, it works as of 8:00 PM EDT 05/17/2023 and that MAYBE facing downstairs helps.
What the real trick is having the second bow drop almost directly on top of the first and NOT off to the side. So, those narrow stairs near the garrison entries atop the castle wall helps greatly.
OH OK. Facing down link helps A LOT. I tried it a lot of times and it didn’t work but when I faced down it worked
I can do it pretty easily. My brother figured it out and he taught me in person

Is this also not similar to the arrow duplication glitch from the first one.
The shield and sword seem to matter. I had a royal shield with a fused minecart equipped and could not get the glitch to work. Changing to a non-fused sword and shield made the difference. Thanks for the break down 👍
Holy shit dude, thanks for mentioning this. I couldn’t get it to work until I changed to unfused sword and shield, now I get it several times in a row

Just realized that using a lizal bow and strong construct bow instead of 2x of the same made it fail due to the lizal bow's shape

This works in 1.1.0 consistently if you follow this video's instructions. Glitch still works in 1.1.1 but inconsistent though. Works enough for me to duplicate like 30 Rubies before the glitch was becoming inconsistent.

Switching to a smaller shield and using same bows definately did it for me, with a large shield I failed 75% of the time. Pressing plus plus still has to be fast though.
Have your fish and frogs disappeared from inventory by using this glitch too.?
Hmmm brings back memories with the overload menu glitch with adding the sword and shield on to Link to try and overload the game.

Yes they are just a bit trickier. I noticed once you fall into the rhythm of the clicks it becomes a brainless activity and it just flows.
I was doing this while riding a dragon. I did it correctly but I was not seeing an increase in quantity. Is the glitch not able to work while riding a dragon?
Edit: Nevermind needed to change Shields...Equipped Hylian Shield.

This doesnt work for me. Ive gotten the visual have having the item on the second bow like 100 times but when i drop it amd exit the menu it didnt work

This doesn't work, too slow or too fast, nothing happens not even the object appearing in the 2nd arrow
Having the shield and sword equipped is vital to the glitch. I was happily diamonds without issue, went and and did some things which caused me to not have a sword and shield equipped. Glitch stopped working even though I could see the item on the second bow. Watched this video, equipped the sword and board, working like a charm.

So this doesn't work for me with the Mighty Construct Bows, but my Knights Bows work fine
I noticed that sometimes the items don't dupe when they don't drop on top of each other lol

If you are just after rupees just get 1 diamond then do this with it 500 rupees per success though I find that items with animations like a star fragment for whatever reason are a bit easier to pull it off with so if you have a hard time that is an alternate that still gets you 200 per.

Some tips that will make this MUCH more consistent:
- Have a sword and shield equipped aswell.
- Dont move around between bow drops
- Use the same type of bows if possible (this one is HUGE. Not just 3x's or singles. but the EXACT same bow. any 2 of the same will do)
- Make sure to hit + + fast enough
Okay. after doing this glitch for hours following reddit/youtube this is the most consistant one. May be its same type of bow?
This is the best tip I've seen. I could get them to stack but it would rarely cause the dupe. I switched to MS and a non fused shield and now it works every single time. Using same bow as well. Appreciate ya
Ok so there is another comment like this, BUT!!! if you do this while holding ZR to aim its much easier to get consistant results.

So why is it when I pause and upause I see the item on the second bow, I drop it and it won’t duplicate? It works at times but not always
**IMPORTANT EDIT FOR EVERYONE**
Make sure the bows STACK and let it drop then pick it up!! If it’s not stack you didn’t do it right!
Just need to be a tad bit faster with the ++.

I feel stupid… I am the only one that cannot get this to work. I am able to get the timing on the plus plus to get the items onto the arrow but when I drop the item and press plus again the item never duplicates. I’m on the right version too. I just can’t make this work lol
Yeah i feel you but im starting to do it slightly consistently what i do is i drop an extra bow before the bow with the item then i press ++ then dropping the final bow, you will pick 3 bows on the ground ive done it 3x a row

I can do it with any other ore (amber, opal, topaz) but not with diamonds
Try standing in a corner to get them to stack better
I can't get the glitch to work but how do I check which version of ToTK I have installed or the update version? I got physical copy of the game.
I don’t believe the released an update today so it should still be working
Push the + button on the game (in the switch menu) on the top you can see what version it is.
It should be Ver. 1.1.0 and then you're good to go
What if bows dont stack i tried just dropping to of the same bow and multiple different bows but they would never wtack even when i wasnt doing the glitch

So after a few tries with diamond, here are my conclusions :
This technique is way faster than any of those i watched on RUclips, pkus the glitch only happens once per duplication, so no need to repeat it multiple times during one duplication like others i saw
It does work in the latest version 1.1.1
The main indicator of wether it worked or not are the bows, if they're stacked after the manipulation, then it worked, if not, then it didn't
As said in the video, there is no visible timing, it will become muscular memory, if it can help, note that i do it with the B then + combo, as it's trickier to double click on the same button after the first input is done in the game
Any shield is fine, for the weapon a sword is probably better than anything else
And finally, practice the + then B or the double + inputs before trying it, to basically "feel" when the game is ready to open the menu again and to basically memorize the window for the second input, do it multiple times repeatedly for about one minute tops, and then you should get the thing
I think this is all that must be know before doing the glitch, tho it's always better to play legit, but if anyone has anything to add please do not hesitate, me or someone will probably test it and will feedback
