I am in love with the mini!!! I will definitely be purchasing it for work - I have been waiting for a smaller size!!! Thank you for the thorough review, Amanda :)
Love!!! Been waiting for this! Large horizontal is for me and I’m left handed and I love that I can write on the main portions of the planner without my wrist hitting the coil! It’s the little things! Thanks for a great review! ❤🎉
I wish this would have come out years ago. I think I would have loved seeing my monthly and weekly together when I first started planning. I really did not like flipping between views. However, my planning style has evolved to match that of most planners so I'm ok now with just referencing my monthly once per day in exchange for smaller planner/more writing space. But these are genius.
I wish I could combine the weekly horizontal with the project planner’s grid pages. Perhaps she will come out with a Pop-in for that at some point. I’d love to have one for my content planning task list for RUclips videos and blog posts.
Oh how I wish that they sold folios for the mini. And other color cover options. I am sure they will in the future. But I’m also second guessing the mini, as my handwriting is gargantuan.
If you have big handwriting I think the mini would be hard to use-especially the monthly spread. And I am sure you are right that LD will have s folio for the mini IF it sells well in the future;) Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts:)
The horizontal mini is the perfect size for me with the monthly view, days, daily ToDo and weekly ToDo. I use a fine point fountain pen, it feathers a bit on the month cardstock but is fine on the weekly pages.
Omg. I love the mini one better. So it doesn’t take too much space on the desk. I been wanting one for a while. Just ordered the mini. Now I am done with buying planners for next year. Got your colab, EC and this one.
Oh, perfect! EC, the Mini, and the collab! Love that combo:) Thank you for getting my collab and I hope it serves you well and brings you joy as you use it;)
I think a great idea for the project planner would be to have the meals for each week on the calendar, and then you can write recipes in the columns for new things you're trying. I also like the idea of the project planner as being the family planner you keep displayed on the acrylic stand. SO MANY GOOD IDEAS! Thank you! Also, I am new to your channel. Congrats on your son coming home from his mission. What a blessing!
Hello & Welcome in:) Thank you for the happy wishes for my son returning home. It truly is the best feeling ever! And I love both those ideas for the project planner! Perfect! Thanks for watching and chiming in:) Happy to have you here;)
I was so excited for this video and you did not disappoint! Thank you for such an in-depth review! I went from wanting the mini to just picking the regular horizontal but will have to wait until March to order mine. (Gotta get through my EC daily duo first). That Ocean Breeze color is to die for even though I love the green too. :) Mini could also be used for a faith planner...person/thing to pray for in monthly box, readings in the daily and gratitudes on the monthly page.
Thank you for the kind words about the video:) And I love your idea for how to use the mini! So you are going to go from a daily to her horizontal weekly! That will be a big change (and a fun one)!
Yes, I am going to order the "swirling thoughts" pip, paperclip a page for my ring binder to it, fill it out and move to ring binder when done with my daily log on the days I feel like doing any journaling. That way I still have an all-in-one planner while actually working in it.
Hi Amanda, you introduced me to planning so many years ago and you continue to be my go to so many years later! Love the mini so much! I have been struggling with balancing work goals, health goals, personal development goals and my little just started school so Im totally overwhelemed with trying to line up schedules and track anything. I needed something to just pull everything together and this looks worth the try. Thinking i can use the horizontal with the monthly for chores and bills, the first weekly section for my little one's school and my work schedule, the second weekly section for meals and workouts and the habit tracker for personal development! The review is awesome and I appreciate you! Wish me luck!
Hello! I love your ideas for using the different sections of the LD:) It sounds like it will cover all your bases and work well for you! Thanks for taking time to chat and share!
@@AmandasFavorites thanks so much it looks like it’ll arrive in mid January, so bought washi, stickers and frixion pens yesterday. So excited💞. May 2024 bless you and yours have a wonderful New Year🎀
My one hope was for a Sunday start but she added a lot of space to the planners, yay! I'll be using your affiliate link/code when I order tomorrow. (I also ordered your Ashley Shelly cal, it's been my reading journal for a few years). Thanks for taking your time to do all this, you are appreciated. God Bless you.
Thank you so much for this video. Super helpful! I got the regular size last year because of you, and now I’m going to try the mini. Confession, I wish I could try out all the planners you review. So far I’ve had the kitlife daily for one year and weekly for two years (sad they are not making them anymore). I’ve had the laurel denise this year, and I’m using a pen and pillar small one for our homeschool schedule. I’ve also tried the planner perfect, but I don’t use up all the pages. I still love getting their accessories sub box though. All of this to say, all you’re reviews are greatly appreciated.
Aw, thank you for those kind words:) And I am so happy to hear you have enjoyed all those planners you used:) I hope you love the LD mini when it arrives:) Have a great week!
Thanks for this video. I never heard of Laurel Denise and I'm going to buy the horizontal planner, use your code and like the video. Thanks for taking the time. I love the mini but since this is my first start I think going big will be best and then I can decide the next step after that. I will say though that Mom Agenda is pretty slick and I dont even have kids. It was between those two but Im going to check out the LD first. Thanks again Amanda
Aw, hey Stephanie:) I loved hearing your thoughts on this first time pruchase. I think you made the right decision. I would have gone with the full size too to try first;) And MomAgenda is good to have on the list too;) I think you will love trying LD! Her planners are so fun to use and functional too:)
Oh! I missed this review until after I placed an order today. I had no idea all this was available so I will be taking you up on the discount! I may have to add the mini. So happy about the Sunday start and habit tracker pages!
OMG! I love them all. I've been using Erin Condren (EC) for my monthly and weekly planning for the past three years. Choosing between EC and Laurel Denise (LD) is always a struggle. This time, however, I've decided to order an LD planner for my office. I plan to use it to note down the day's top priority and highlight my most important meetings. I really like the idea of using stickies, especially since plans change so frequently.
I hear ya on the struggle of choosing between EC & LD! Both so good and that's my struggle too:) I am using LD right now for my content Planning and EC for my weekly personal. I love hearing how you plan to use LD, and the stickies are so helpful in my content planning!
Thank you for this thorough review. I have not used a LD planner but sure do love all I am seeing on them. I ended up going to the website, getting the dimensions, and doing a rough sketch based on that to try it. Currenly use a Positive Weeks planner by Skribbles that Matter and my BuJo. Looking to "combine" the two by taking the plunge on the LD.
Love this video! I'm glad Laurel sent you all this stuff so you could show us. I saw her planner in your channel last year, but it was too big for me. I'm excited to get the mini to try it out for next year!
Do people take their large planners out of the house? I really want to buy one of these but I do enjoy taking my planner out on occasions. I fear I will regret the size? Anyone take theirs out regularly? lol.
Good question! I know many people take these Laurel Denise planners out of the house! I personally never take my planner...so I am not a good one to ask. I would go to the Laurel Denise Loves FB group...they would be the place to ask this! They are a great group over there;)
LOL- I understand 100%! I ordered a Horizontal Monday Start in case I couldn't jive with the Sunday Start she sent me...LOL. We shall see which one I use for content planning next year. I love Sunday start on my monthly layout...but not sure I can make that work with my brain for a Sunday start on my weekly layout. So I was sent everything- and still ordered something...LOL! And thank you for the kind words on the review- that means a lot!
Thanks for sharing that;) I think her sticky notes are about 2/3 down. At least the vertical ones that I have been using daily in my LD content planner;)
You could definitely do that. If the notebook was thin enough..yeah;) I am traveling right now taking my oldest to his first semester of college so I am not home to test things out on it.
Did the vertical formatting change at all where previously sold time stamp washi wouldn’t fit? I have a roll of LD time stamp washi just curious if It still fits
I am sure they will still have planners left for a good amount of time...the only one I see selling out is the Mini;) I understand wanting to see the Passion Planner before choosing;)
This video is absolutely incredible. Thank you so much!! I'm going to look at your goal planning video; I'm very interested in what you decided to do/how you used it. Thank you for all that you do!
I just heard about these planners and found your video. You did a great job explaining everything, thank you. I know most of the supplies are sold out, do you know if they restock or is it just a wait till the next launch. I’m going to buy a planner, I’d your code still good or was that only for the launch. Again, thank you.

Dated won't come again till fall launch. You can use my code and link all year:) I hope to have her spring launch video out on March 2nd (just depending on when I get the planners). I hope that helps!
I am using the LD for my content planning right now. I love it:) I used it of 6 months for my normal weekly planning last Sept-march... I don't know what 2024 will bring! I hope you love yours;)
I watched the Patreon version which was so helpful, but I love your edits! Especially love the beautiful shots of all the covers stacked! I think I’ve landed on ordering - a vertical for work; mini for TBD but thinking meal planning; project planner because I’m thinking of starting a small business. I will probably get some sticky notes, and maybe a pen pouch too . . . glad to have your discount code because I’m going to need it 😂
Thank you so much:) And I love hearing your order list and what you will use each one for:) That will be such a fun order...and so wonderful to work in them all year!

Many people even commented to me last year that the price was so low for all you got in the project planner. But I understand your feelings and I appreciate you sharing.
The vertical fit the best in the mini:) I did share them at one point in this long video..lol. I tried to time stamp a lot so things would be easy to find. But I am not sure if I time stamped that. Good question!
I wish! I wish! I wish! I’m a poor Australian student and can’t afford the AUD$88 shipping. If I can work anything out with you guys I’d be so so grateful!
Kitlife was unable to continue making planners. Liz-one of the women who ran it will be making printable planners that you could use in a ringbound a5 or bind yourself. I know so many are sad about this:(

Suggestion for.the mini. Since the coil is so big, put.it.accross the top instead of side. Makes it easier to write
Coil across the top of the mini planner? hummm....brain is thinking about how the half sheets would work...

The midnight looks gray in the video - is that just the lighting?
I would call it more dark charcoal gray- LD is calling it matte black I think...but it really is more charcoal gray.

If you have a sticky note it needs to have sticky on 2/3 of the back so you don’t have curling.

Sakura Micron pens come in a super precise tip (005) and write very nicely. They would probably be perfect for the mini!

I wish! I wish! I wish! I’m a poor Australian student and can’t afford the AUD$88 shipping. If I can work anything out with you guys I’d be so so grateful!
I am shocked that shipping is that terrible:( I am so sorry:(
I am so disappointed. What happened to the Kitlife Planner?!🙁
Kitlife was unable to continue making planners. Liz-one of the women who ran it will be making printable planners that you could use in a ringbound a5 or bind yourself. I know so many are sad about this:(

Thank you Kim:)
