Having just returned from an elk and deer hunt in Montana, I can really appreciate this footage. People on here don’t realize how difficult it is to capture this kind of footage. Beautiful mule deer buck.
Yeah I spend a lot of time in the wild and when I see a wild animal I'll try to catch video of it or a photo with my phone... I have a lot of footage and photos of where birds and hares and deer used to be.
Judging by how each little movement made the camera go crazy, that was probably at a super high zoom. You'd have to be the best cameraman in the world to pan over smoothly at that kind of zoom.
You rarely see mountain lion. Much less film them. This is cool to see. I am amazed at their extra refined senses. The deer were still on alert as they left. And the lion smelled the strange odor of man as he stopped.
@@AnonymousSourcesConfidential No city boy here; born, raised, hunt and live in grizzly country Canada. One needs to be obsevant in the bush. The cat would be hunting into the wind and given he is on the ridge quartering down the hill towards the deer, and given the sun is shining heating things up it is most likely the currents are rising up the hill. Therefore that cat is downwind from that buck who smells nothing but hears everything. Yes if that cat had been up wind he would have been busted a mile away and never gotten this close. Have a nice day.
The only sense that the mule deer could've used in this situation was his sense of smell. So they obviously smelled the cougar or the humans to be this nervous. If you get lucky with wind direction, all the deer and elk species will essentially walk into your lap if your standing still. Really not much of an accomplishment to kill, despite what hunters would like everyone to believe. Modern hunting is essentially bullying helplessly unintelligent animals to death.
I call clickbait. I realize the title doesn't say anything directly about an "altercation", but I'm convinced most folks were expecting it. Cheap way to get us to add to your views.
@@LudicrousCunningFox well the description says there were 2 lions and 2 bucks. Also says the deer saw the lions and ran away. Obviously the title doesn't imply anything of that sort. It's easy to see what they were doing by using that title
I knew for sure it would have said "attacks" or "kills" if there was going to be any kind of altercation. "And" told me clearly and unambiguously there would be none.
Yeah, sucks you're getting thumbs down, seeing the lions stalking is just as exciting as the kill, you get to see how they do. It was interesting, because you could tell the deer knew they were there well before I think you could see them even off camera.
Neither the cat or the deer seemed to have been as shaken as you were when the F-15 dropped that JDAM bomb that apparently detonated nearby, nice clear video up to that point though. I’ll still give you a good grade for NOT adding any stupid music to your video 👍🏿
Nice! Makes me think I should be more aware when I'm out...especially if I have a tasty/aromatic sandwich in my pocket. I'd rather not give a Lion a choice.
Lions, buffalo, and antelope are all found only in both Africa and Asia, therefore, there are no such things as either a mountain lion, an american buffalo, or an american antelope, the correct common names for these animals are "puma", "american bison", and "pronghorn" respectively.
This feels like that date I had when we were laying on her bed making out all hot and heavy and then she told me it was her time of the month...total let down!

Remember Marty Stouffers Wild America? The YEARS that man spent getting footage!!!
Actually, elk are deer, a deer is any ungulate that belongs to the family Cervidae.
To hell with the deer. Beautiful cat.
There’s deer behind the property, and I also have a house 🐱
Good shit man. No talking. Just nature. I love it. Thank you for the video.
That's awesome.... Spending hundreds of hours in the wild you got to appreciate that video
Good to see that the camera operator from Blair Witch Project is still getting gigs.
😂😂😂😂 that was funny af
😆

"The strange stink of a man LOL..."
You saw a mountain lion in the wild...lucky bastard.👍
I don’t think that lion was hunting that buck I think he was hunting you. Great video
He's prob using a DSLR with the lens zoomed right out. Really hard to stay in focus like that
Given how quiet a big cat can be it is impressive that buck was alerted so quickly.
Um, what does picking up the scent have to do with a Big car being quiet?
Better go check your parking meter, city boy.

@@lylemacdonald6672 such a professional response 👏
Beautiful piece of wilderness you & the animals seemed to be in
This should be called: Mule Deer, Earth Quake, and Mountain Lion.
Mule deer footage... $.02
Lion footage... $679,000
Both in one shot... priceless
That is one trophy buck.
Yep, that is a hellva a buck. He is wide and high. I'd guess he's at least 170.
Beautiful. Footage of an animal is much more valuable than it's mounted corpse, to me.
Not gona lie, thought I was gona see a fight to the death
Wow great footage

birds must have sounded the alarm .The afternoon wind was blowing right up to the cat ,so he knew they were there some place.
I just subscribed and liked. Nice buck!
Thank you for sharing.
Mother nature at her finest
They never appeared in the same frame. Title was misleading. I really don't like it when people do this.
I only saw one mountain lion, where's the 2nd one? Only one deer for that matter.
Titles accurate. Good looking mountain lion. Good looking Mulie. 💯💯
Cam recorder person got so nervous they almost dropped the cam.
I got the lion .. where’s the mule deer? I musta missed it
The Lions worked their way in the direction of the deer. It was cool to see the interaction. What kind of interaction?
I'm pretty sure the deer didn't want any interaction with the lions.
I wish I had that lions stealth when I hunt.
That is beautiful territory. Where is this?
In his backyard in the projects.
no clickbait. accurate title.
And ????
Where's the mountain lion?

Yep I totally agree👍Why not film the entire scenario 🤔
What else was this supposed to be titled? Just want your thoughts.

Wtf? That's it?
It didnt say mule deer and mountain lion have gruesome violent fight to death in the title... would've been a lot cooler if they did though😆
David Painter
The way he handled the camera, Be thankful "That's it"!!!
Not much happened .
Hunter......I'm about to bag a keeper.
Mountain Lion.....not so fast Zippy.
They both know your there...
Must be from the same litter maybe younger lions they usually are loaner type they don't pair up like African lions.
Where was this?
Dwight Schrute could skin them both in under 10 minutes
Interesting
