I am city hermit. No friends, I live in a tiny town alone in studio apartment. I rarely go to any places where people. At shops only at evening when least amount of people. I had bad experiences with people in my life and decided not to search friends anymore. You find amazing life as a hermit. I don't work at this time, I see no people almost daily. Thank you for making videos and teaching us. I really honour any hermits living their way alone. Life is stress free and full of enjoyment. Nature is my second home just as well. Thanks once again.

We all have our own different reasons to enjoy our solitude, it doesn't make us dumb, secret killers or any threat to society! I always look at that iconic triangular building in USA! It's been featured in just so many movies! I hear they are going to tear it down? 😔 I could see many hermits like Finding Forester, on every corner unit, proudly looking out from their solitude! A private lift, humble grocery store, coffee shop below, zero parking! Because hermits never go anywhere, an electric wheelchair is more comfortable, cause at best we only travel the minimal amount! In fact? Are we hermits, the first generation of real greenies? Boring people! Go to bed when it goes dark, get up when the sun wakes us? Maybe we are just reincarnated Pilgrims? The one thing that keeps coming up decade after decade after decade!!!! , we aren't stupid and broke like the rest of you! We eat a variety of foods! Often invest well! Who are the real dummies? A relative of mine was a hermit. We’d see him every so often, and he always done his own thing. Not always, but from a young age. He went to uni. He worked. He isolated himself. What matters, at least in my perspective, is that a person in your position and lifestyle is sharing a digital diary of their thoughts, their tribulations, their endeavours and their passion. People have the right to live to the degree that they want. Personally I would love to go out in the middle of the woods about 10 miles at least away from the nearest person. No phones and just the very basic of tools. Maybe an axe, knife and machete. If I make it I make it or I'm coming out dead or never found at all. I hate what man has made of the world and never had any hope of it becoming and better.

What you said about it being a way for personal growth is very true for me....Although I have always enjoyed being alone, I also have a very social side of my personality. I have had many, many girl friends, lived with five women at different times and married one. Now at the age of 72 and on my own without a relationship for more than a year I am enjoying focusing on my work as a professional artist.. I live smack in the middle of busy and hectic Manhattan. I see the Empire State Building right outside my window and spend days in my home studio painting, reading, writing, fixing my studio and not seeing anyone. I feel very lucky and privileged that I can live this way. I am not a recluse, nor want to be, but I do enjoy long stretches of time by myself, with my self, alone, but not lonely. ...Solitude is truly essential in life at times for deep reflection, work and growth.

Wow all the emotion in such simple sentences, and how smart and wise he is from all that time pondering the great questions and most of all getting over his demons with time that most people won’t get. Hear me out I don’t want to get to personal but I have some problems as we all do and I’ve felt for a very long time they were unsolvable tried so many things some were good some were horrible point is nothing worked. Last 6 months I’ve been living like a hermit only in the city. Even though I play video games and work (yes I know I’m not a full hermit that’s why I said like) all that free time I have which I like to spend smoking weed listening to music and finding answers has actually brought me soooo many. Ones that I think would take years or more for me to find out if I wasn’t in somewhat isolation with all this time and all these thoughts. I’ve learned that there is always a answer even if that answer is to just learn to be ok with it for example you wanna be with this girl and you spend so much time trying to take her out but clearly it’s a one way street the answer could be to learn that it’s ok to not get what you want sometimes which is not some crazy secret answer but to understand how to be on with that is a whole other story and is pretty similar to being able to be ok with you stepping out of what you are (supposed to do) and having people most likely judge you. Or like being ok with feeling lonely learning to accept it and eventually understand we’re animals meant to survive not to get everything we want and that you can more then happy not getting what you want or in a bad situation if you can really learn to let go. If you can learn to be in a horrible state of mind which you will get into with nothing numbing you (sex,friends, talking to people to get rid of the feeling before it manifests and makes you fix it, drugs and more) and to get out of it on command your unstoppable that’s just my opinion and something I am working towards just wanted to speak my mind a bit if you read this thanks a lot love you have a great day ✌️❤️

No one can ever show you the truth, but the wise can at least point to the way. Initiation is only to get you started it's all about momentum and balance from there. If you are a naturally lonely solitude being who has devoted himself to spiritual practices, then you are classed a hermit. What yogic practices do you do? I do the rosery, pranayama breathing, I read the bible, I will start to do meditation an chi qong exercises again as I have recently delved into lucid dreaming and astral projection, but have now discarded it as I feel they are distractions that hinder one from become pure or enlightened or develop true happiness inside. I recently did black vampire magic which I will never touch again as I did suffer for my sins. My first real spiritual movement was the Rastafarian movement but have experimented and moved on from there. Let me know what you think.

I am hermit since 15 year old, or 14 year old, I was always alone in my room and now in my rental apartment. I live never woods and go here almost daily. I don't want to live like everyone else running jobs and making money, when you can just go to the woods and forage some free food to the table. I will be hermit all life long... this is life one should live for.
