Hey Manny, I have the swiftXL with the new 10inch screen. How do I change the parameters on this machine because it doesn’t seem to be the same way as this machine.
Hey there. The hooping was done off-camera but we are pretty sure that Manny did use a stabilizer. If he didn't is because the cap was a very tough structured cap and didn't need it.
From my understanding, the cap driver can embroider 270 degrees around. What is the maximum width in inches for digitizing? What is the maximum number of the x-axis settings on the machine? What if I have an image that I would like to embroider on the front of the cap and another image on the side of the cap by using only one digitized image so that I don't have to keep stopping and changing .dst files?
Hi Ricardo, the maximum width is 12 inches for digitizing and the maximum width of the x-axis on the machine is 320º. Yes, you can setup multiple designs on your digitizing software in one file. You can set up a template in your digitizing software with the maximum dimensions of the cap embroidery area, which is 12" wide and the height depends on the type of cap that you want to embroider (typically it ranges from 2.2" to 3"). Once you set up your template just place your main design in the center for the front of the cap and then place your other design on the left or right side depending on which side you would like to have it embroider on the cap. Make sure to run a test to make sure you get the spacing just right. I hope this helps, let us know if this helps :) Also, we have a facebook group with a community of experienced embroiderers that post their work and help answer each other's questions. If you would like to join you can check it out here: facebook.com/groups/embroiderymastery/
so basically you can't make the machine move automaticaly to the side with the digitizing software? also I don't like when I want to optimize trace a design on caps but first of all I have to trace it normally.
Im totally new to this but can this be done by hand and if so will it be as good as this and how long would it take if the design is kinda more detailed?
Hi there! Thanks for watching. Hand embroidery is possible on caps, but it will take a lot longer, especially if the design is more detailed. Machine embroidery can be completed in minutes, on the other hand. There is also more of a learning curve associated with hand embroidery, especially since it's an artistic ability, whereas with machine embroidery the machine does the work for you and you get a clean, professional finish. Hand embroidery stitches tend to be larger and less "tight" than machine embroidery stitches so creating detail is harder.
@@ricomatv thanks for the reply i don't have the money for a machine which i think the good 1s are like 300- 1k let alone the space to store it but i wanna try making my own patches for my hats and jackets as the patches i buy cost 20 n up for large and detailed pics im pretty good at drawing was thinking of like doing a large back patch of snoopy which imo would be a easy as its a pretty simple design to make for a beginner
Hi, how I can embroider on my ricoma TC using cap driver, design larger than 2" ??? I have seen a lot of custom caps embroidered with monograms in size about 3 or 3.5 inches? My machine doesn't allowe me to go more then 2"
If you go to "Emb Param", then "Frame", and change the Y size on caps to "75" that's roughly 3 inches, but we do not recommend maxing out. Try to keep it under 2.75 inches max for best quality.

Espero haberme explicado bien. gracias

Hi there! Absolutely.
Did you use backing paper for this?
Hey there. The hooping was done off-camera but we are pretty sure that Manny did use a stabilizer. If he didn't is because the cap was a very tough structured cap and didn't need it.
Hello I would like to know which are the frame in size x size y offset x offset x y and corner r to embroder a cap thank you very much !
Hi, the parameters are different depending on the size/type of cap. Estimated measurements are Y to 85, and X to 300-400. Remember to always trace!
