This a cool short format too. It's really cool how such simple concepts with some restrictions can help us get some interesting songs. Good job!
PS: Sweden seems to be a place with so much great nature!

Thanks! I'm trying it on for size. It makes finishing videos a lot more manageable with the time I have.
Yes! I love it as an exercise too, because great ideas can come from it. It can start from a simple thing and grow into something really special.
Yes, it really is. The nature here is amazing, and the accessibility of it too. All the places you see in my videos are places I bike to from my apartment.

Really, really love the resolution at the end of the song.
I think something that's been holding me back for forever is being afraid to adhere too much to a chord. There's the want in me to make something like a musical and I don't have the training to build a catalog of songs in various keys. I don't have the theory in me.
But I have an ear and I like the key of D. So instead of overwhelming myself with all the new knowledge needed, I can embrace the limitation and actually start there.
regarding drums... got a vr app that purports to help build loops, setting pads in actual space. Am very curious how well that will work. I'm sure the neighbours are happy, although probably ignorant to the possitibilities.
    Great video.

Happy to hear you liked it! Embracing limitations is definitely my jam. It's a great place to start, and once you're familiar with all the chords of D (major or minor?), it will be easier to go places from there. For example here I end on an A major instead of A minor, which is obviously not part of the key.
When I first started messing around with writing my own songs, I would take drum tracks from drumming videos on RUclips, and write over those for example. Put everything together in Audacity back in those days.
Thank you for watching and for sticking with me! Hope you're doing well!

@@heitstrengningmusic I tend to start in minor and more often than not my hands to the writing and brain catches up (e-a-d,2,3, 4, that's a G!) but it's a comfortable blow for my interests in the crafts.
the pulling a loop from a video like that is genius. This is what is available, this is what you need, make it work.
I'm still in the audacity days, but for where I'm at, it's great.
Approachable is the word I was looking for earlier. You make the craft more approachable with is great because that makes for a more musical world.

@@CollinGerberding Since I can't really do what you describe in that first paragraph, or at least couldn't when I started, I've always had my own roundabout ways of going about music making. I feel like my whole musical life has been one big workaround haha.
But I really appreciate you saying that. My goal is definitely to make it more approachable and share everything and anything that has helped me write better songs/parts. Just trying to figure out how to also make it entertaining at the same time!
