This is ridiculous. Whips win every face-off and Dogs don't even try. No one wants to see that. Fans want to see guys compete.
19-man game day rosters are way too small. Makes the league look bush - like a beer league. This is pro sports. Every team should be dressing 2 face-off specialists (in case one gets hurt).
Similar thing happened in Redwoods/Atlas game. Once Chris Fake went down the Woods had no one to replace him. Atlas dominated from there on.
This is pro sports. I know this is a "players' league" and no one wants to sit on the bench (or split their pay with more players), but come on this is pro sports. People are paying to watch these games. Rosters should be big enough to allow for back-ups. At a MINIMUM, rosters should have 5 Attackmen (3 starters, lefty back-up, righty back-up), 7 O-middies (2 lines plus a back-up), 5 SSDMs (2 lines, plus a back-up), 6 poles (1 LSM, 1 back-up LSM, 3 close D and one back-up Close D), 2 face-off guys, 2 goalies. That's 27 players NOT 19. 19 is ridiculous, when you consider there are 10 guys on the field at a time. Even with 2-way middies and a face-off guy staying on and playing (not a FOGO), you don't even have a back-up for each spot.
I want to watch a competitive game decided by the players not teams that lose because somebody gets hurt and they have no one to replace him (Chris Fake). I want to see teams compete for face-offs, not punt on them 31 times in a game.
Very disappointing. Great talent. Best players in the world. But it looks like the best players playing in a beer league.
