9:41 was a goal. I slowed down the playback speed and found a frame where the ball bounces at least a foot inside the net. Musta had crazy spin to bounce backwards like that
It hit Crossbar tho and it came down at an angle and hit right in the middle of the goal and came out because of the rotation of the ball when it hit the turf. The ref started running in like he was gonna call it but he just didn't lol
On most of those, what I think you're referencing is a cross-check hold, not a cross-check. If it was going to get called, which it probably isn't against a player who tries to back defenders down like that, it would be a hold, not a cross-check, since it's more equal pressure than it is a check. Rule 6, Section 4 of the NCAA rules: "A.R. 10. May a player use the portion of the handle of his crosse that is between his hands to hold an opponent? RULING: No."
Lacrosse Film Room I still see it as a penalty. Hold or crosscheck, make players keep their hands together. 1 hand at the butt end and 1 at the throat is now the norm. That combined with pinched heads are ruining the game. Just make the call!!!
+James Simpson Couldn't agree more! This is a call that needs to be made FAR more often. I played college lacrosse as an attackman and a midfielder. When I was growing up, you HAD to have your hands together while pushing back on an attacker. They have simply stopped calling it. So many crosschecks go uncalled as well. Bring back the 21-20 Cuse Hopkins games of the mid-90s! Don't get me started on the stick technology...I'd like to see some of these dudes try playing with a Sam II or a Superlight with a traditional pocket...
But why? In the game today, offense has so many more advantages with stick technology. And in situations like these, when the player is clearly trying to back into their opponents, there isn't an issue of safety. I'm all for calling cross checks when it's an issue of safety, but I feel that these are not the cases you want to look for.
i would give up valuable field space to great players like lyle or jordan wolfe. He is just a role playing defender and many of those great players he would defend would just shoot around him.
Watching joe fletchers stance hurts my back
Lyle Thompson is such a pure talent. The way he creates is beautiful to watch.
The fast break at 4:50 was the most effortless play I’ve ever seen
Forever thankful I got to see this trio in action before they graduated. Thompsons were magic on the field.
Joe Fletcher might be the best defensemen in the country but his stance is painful

The goal at the end of the first half was pure magic.
Joe Fletcher is one of the best positional defenders-EVER. He was playing against one the best (maybe THE best) attackmen to ever play the game.
I could watch them all day!
His balance is so scary.
thompsons' prove that the big crank is worth less than learning how to hide your shot and painting the corners.
You've gotta slide to them when you see their numbers you can't leave your man on an island or go half way because you're toast if you do
You're telling this to starting college lacrosse players? I think don't think they need advice from you...
9:42 That was a goal lol
I think it hit the Goalie
It hit Crossbar tho and it came down at an angle and hit right in the middle of the goal and came out because of the rotation of the ball when it hit the turf. The ref started running in like he was gonna call it but he just didn't lol
it hit the back of the goalie after it hit the cross bar, then hit off the top of the net and popped out. It was a goal.
I still have no idea how this Albany team didn’t go all the way that year
OH MY GOD 2:06 MUST WATCH
Joe Fletcher's posture looks painful
As soon as you see the laces that's when you go, those of you who played lacrosse in the 90s know what I mean.
Josh Wilson considering I was born in 99 can you explain to me what you mean
@@MC-fo7hz The helmets had laces back then to adjust.
myles lyle ty unreal
Paul carcaterras comment at 4:24 is so stupid. They’re from New York not Antarctica
Even tho I'm a huge Lyle Thompson fan.. It would be nice to see him use his left hand.... My coach would kill me if I played like him
Tyler Swasey if you played like him you would be the best player in your league
Tyler Swasey hahaha I don't think your coach would kill you if you played like him
Tyler Swasey besides didn't you see him use only his left hand shovel like shot that hit the post? that was absurd
Hey Tyler funny seeing you here
Fletcher hung in all day long. Great one on one matchup.
6:50 your argument is invalid.
awesome Tomsen
Lyle Thompson has literally no left hand and destroys top rated defenders
Ya it i ever saw the thompes brothers play against my team i would been like coach i don't feel good
I think Ohara did a better job on Thompson.
Terrific!
The game is so fast that I sometimes do not even see the scoring shot.
Because of Adam I have new interest in the game.
crosscheck all day, call it ref!

I'm with you on all points. I have friends that ref D1 and they just shrug it all off.

Joes stance is so weird
Me and Lyle have the same number 4 :) when I play lax
Ball hog
So was kobe
Very true...ball hog indeed
Joe fletcher blows, he doesn't do anything and gives up too much too field
Shut up
i would give up valuable field space to great players like lyle or jordan wolfe. He is just a role playing defender and many of those great players he would defend would just shoot around him.
Clearly your the ball boy of the team
awesome Tomsen
