- Ohio State midfielder Jesse King #19 dodging, shooting and setting picks against Johns Hopkins. Many of them out of a box lacrosse style, 2-man game with plenty of pick and rolls.
Hopkins tried to defend him primarily with LSM Michael Pellegrino #34 and then close defender Jack Reilly #43 when Pellegrino wasn't on the field, but the OSU 2-man game ended up getting King matched up against a variety of other defenders, often James Malm #26.
King finished with 5 goals on 12 shots, an assist and a turnover. Johns Hopkins won 10-9 in the third overtime. - Спорт
8:23 scared me so much
THEBobster2222 ikr i had to change my undies
lol he sold me on every fake he threw.
Wells Stanwick was very good in this game as well
I just found your page and love it as someone who played defense. I hope you do some video focusing on some of the top D-men of teams getting a lot of TV time this year Brandon Mullins (Syracuse), Scott McWilliams (UVA), Chris Hipps (Duke), and Michael Ehrhardt (Maryland). Keep up the good work
I'm a former LSM myself, so I do keep an eye out for it. The problem is that so many offenses are predicated on attacking good matchups that sometimes the best defenders hardly ever have anyone dodge against them. Attackmen like Rob Pannell and Lyle Thompson who don't care who is defending them and dodge repeatedly anyways are rare.Like in this game, Hopkins wanted Pellegrino or Reilly to be on King, but half the time Ohio State manages to get him a better matchup to dodge against.
Lacrosse Film Room That's true I have a question about one of your other videos, was the zone defense Syracuse used against Duke the finals the same as UVA used a few years ago?
Lacrosse Film Room
Also was the Zone defense used last year the same as they ran back in 2012 against Cornell and Notre Dame?
I don't have any video of those games and I don't remember off hand, but there is a good chance that's is the same. It's the same as most zone defenses you've probably seen run by college teams. It's the essentially same zone that Ohio State ran last year against Cornell and this past weekend against UMass. As well as functionally the same as the one Bryant ran against Syracuse and Towson ran against Ohio State in the first round of last year's NCAA tournament. Each team might play some different situations differently, but they're all the same basic pentagon and 1 concept.
Does anyone know what head he uses and the mesh and pattern?
He's also thumbing the ball in the first goal
Why is 8:22 so quiet ???
i say that as big as georgia swarm getting thompson and staats, king is my pick for nll rookie of the year. kid is so strong, lefties are worth more than gold.
7:42 why not try to score #29... i woulda taken that to the rackkkk
slide wouldve come up from the crease, can see the defender looking him down the entire time
Jesse doesn't like to use his right too much
By Canadian standards, he loves his off hand.
