Update as of 6/28/2023. I can no longer fully recommend Temu. Since this self-funded haul I discovered that Temu is supporting the copyright infringements of designers and artists large and small. They make it difficult to dispute these infringements and do not have a clear policy about infringing sellers ability to relist an infringing item. Temu is good for larger brands who choose to offer their well known products at a discounted price, like Meeden for example. But sadly Temu is a breeding ground for pop-up manufacturers who copy others designs and produce extremely inferior quality versions. ------------------- Okay a few thoughts as I continue to use these items: 1. The tape measure retracted perfectly. Hidden button at the center of the disc, lol 2. Look for temu coupon codes...I'[m seeing a lof of folks talking about a 50% off first order type of thing....soooo wish I would have snagged that deal 3. While I still don't like the color of that watercolor paper I used, it held up to my mixed media craziness beautifully! 4. The journals are really okay...and I retract my comments about not being worth the price. I've since painted in them a few times and while they don't love glazing they are awesome for single layer painting, line and wash and the like. 5. Absolutely still obsessed with the pastel highlighters. What was your favorite supply from the haul?
I was most excited to see the palette as I've been looking at the shimmer ones from that brand. Macaron and so on. I feel more confident about trying them now.
I was most excited about the watercolors, too. Another RUclipsr had ordered them, also, but I didn't see her try them out yet, so I was not sure about quality. Now I know!
Thanks for being an enabler 😂. I have ordered from TEMU several times. I had one order stolen from my mailbox and they replaced the entire order! I’ve been happy with everything I’ve ordered.
I really love the positivity you put into your all your videos. I like the amount of educational information, teachings and mindfulness that calms me during your video sessions. Thank you for being you and helping me to develop on my art and myself most of all.
Kristy, I couldn't resist watching this video. I love temu and I get lots of my arts supplies and crafts items from there. I'm 73 and I usually am irritated by the voice, and the lack of preparation and confidence of most RUclipsrs. Your voice is very pleasant and the video was exceptionally informative. You don' t even need preparation. You have the "gift of gab!" I really enjoyed the entire video. Great job!
Kristy, I think you did a magnificent job with the art and video.b Art hauls are some things I like to watch if they do something with them afterwards. However many artists don't do what you just did. They don't do something right away or don't do any testing out the supplies like you did. Art haul RUclipsrs will take forever for another video if they do anything with their art supplies. Ill be happy if they swatched. Sometimes its a channel that just does art hauls. I'm very happy that you have done the opposite.🎉🎉🎉❤
Team replay. Absolutely loved this video of your haul, trying out all the goodies, sketching, painting, using mixed media and both talking and having painting times with music. Inspired me to finally pull out my sketchbook and pen to play again. Life's been sooo overwhelming that I've neglected doing art but am thrilled to watch you. ☺️❤️
Oooh! I gave in and checked it out, and I found lots of Academy paper blocks for 75% off, plus those nifty metallics and a set of fluorescent watercolors. The colored pencil roll on Temu was also sooooo much less expensive than the one I saw at Michaels. I keep seeing that same set in ads because perhaps Google is spying on me, too, but I’d rather pick up some more expensive single pans (Schmincke, Potter’s Pink, I’m eyeballing you). I like supporting local businesses and buy from them when I can, but there are times when my budget and bottom line are priority.
Thx for doing this reveal. I learned with Temu to read size, descriptions and reviews B4 ordering. Otherwise I'm stuck on Temu -- 💕 it -- bought my Hemi Gouache 24 jell pack kit from them. That kit was not price competitive with Amazon, but for the price it will last like Gouache does. Just have to figure out how to avoid mold over the long term. Otherwise, I found Temu is a good source for papers especially 100% cotton watercolor pads and 300 gsm or 140# medium cold-press. I bought a PKG of empty half-pans which are half of the size, but since it's for Gouache, it'll be ok.
It's funny you should mention making art without a plan. I sat down Saturday with no idea what to paint, so I started putting down water in random geometric shapes and then dabbing in watercolor and just letting it play. Somehow one of them came out looking like a slice of pizza, and before I knew it I was painting a pepperoni and green bell pepper pizza. 😂 I guess the moral of the story is, like going to the grocery store, don't art when you're hungry. 😂
I have bought and several paint items watercolors paint brushes pallets from Temu and I love them. I have got a lot of metallic watercolors that I’ve yet to play with and thank you for your wonderful beginning tutorial. I was able to lead some friends of mine who are all the beginning watercolorist in your first video of the beginning videos and it went very well, so thank you again.
I have ordered from them too. I am 99% happy with what I bought. There are a few things that were smaller than I thought they were based on the photos and some items did feel a little cheaply made, but like you said you get what you pay for. I have been enjoying what I have bought for crafting, home and organizing stuff. Loved the video
Honestly, you could take a stick and some mud and create a masterpiece. I am in awe of your painting ability. You paint with such ease. I could watch you for hours.
Sometimes I buy things like the highlighters to use the tones as inspiration for my watercolor mixes, great painting process, practising is the only way to understand more in deep each material's potential, thanks for showing your process.
Since that first nudge I have been playing a couple of the time wasting games to earn rewards. I completed one of them and one of my rewards is a 48 color half pan set in a black metal palette/box. It has vivid colors, convenience colors, and metallics. Now I can follow along while being more faithful to the process. Temu isn’t ideal for everyone but for those of us who have more time than money and would end up buying private label stuff after a one to two hour drive to the nearest Michael’s or Hobby Lobby, Temu actually makes good sense. I just wanted to share that I was totally shocked by the weight of thi
Turquoise has more yellow in it, teal has more green (blue-green). Also, on the small watercolor set, I would number the bottom of each pan with permanent marker, if they don't have numbers already, to match the color swatch sheet so they don't get mixed up. I have issues on how Temu shops their products - several boxes that products have come in with the shipping bag have been squished beyond repair. I am amazed nothing has arrived broken yet. I give them high marks for their artist postcard collections. The paper is heavy and very sturdy. Nice collections - wish they had more!!
Great video! Teal is darker with lower saturation than turquoise. Turquoise is brighter and has some yellow as well as elements of blue and green. Aqua is more blue than green but does have both. They are similar just different hues. Hope that helps. Thank you for being a great inspiration and a wonderful watercolor teacher!!
Also, color varies by brand and size and delivery container (tube, pouch, jar, etc.) That's why I'm starting to swatch. I'm learning so color doesn't matter as much (except if I make mud) as if it were a custom color I was trying to match. But building useful habits is important too. So, it's a balancing act.
I was thrilled to see you got in on the Temu art supply thang!😅 I loved the art you made too! I was surprised by the watercolors too! Also Miss Kristie you don't talk too much we are all crazy about you!! I got your boop, see ya next time! 😊
Oh I'm a TEMU fan for real! Did my entire Christmas shopping when I discovered TEMU last year. I just purchased a set of 14 tiny tubes of Paul Reubens watercolors for wait for it.......$1.64. For a beginner it works for me. I also got Academy watercolor 100% cotton paper 20 sheets for 10 x 7 fine and rough grain for 12.79. the deals at TEMU are off the roof. But you made out really cool Kristy for $160 you got a bunch of stuff! There were just a few items that was so-so but for the most part I've been really happy with my purchases. You bring me so much JOY Kristy your energy is infectious! Your art is incredible!! I've learned so much from you!! Thanks for being my art instructor, JOY bringer, FUN leader!!! - I forgot to add I also purchased Transon 7pc watercolor brushes for 9.59 and they are excellent!!!
I ordered, too! I didn't buy them out like you did, but I'm very happy with my purchases!! FWIW, I got the smaller metallic sets of those watercolors (at least they came in a very similar little sleeve like yours) in 6 (4 different colorways) and 12 (2 different colorways), and they are bleeping amazing.
I thoroughly enjoy the fun way that you approach each point that you're making! I have gained so much already, from only two of your videos so far! I love your expressions that you use! So fun!
Loved this painting! Raised in Hawaii which was 75% Japanese at that time so the aesthetics struck a cord! You were a bit out of the total flower and leaves theme you usually have, and I also love, and added another favorite area of birds. Love, love, love! Thank you! I want to try this myself!!!!
I love your positivity and excitement in your videos. It makes me happy. I am starting to drop the fear when approaching art making, thanks to your encouragement and perspective.😊
Love watching you toss the trash behind you. I thought I was the only one who made orders and then when they get here I don't remember what I ordered. That small sketch/watercolor book is beautiful. The pens you're using to sketch the flower and the bird look very interesting. I hold my pencil a bit further back, more angled and try to keep it light as I tend to use too much pressure. Yay on the watercolors, different and sort of unique. I'd have fun trying them. I will not look at the list of supplies/links...I will NOT look at the list...I WILL NOT look at the list...yes I will look at it. LOL Now the mantra should be I will not buy. Watching and listening - lots of "how pretty" comments. Have to admit, it could all be trash and you'd make it look wonderful. Color me jealous. No, I'm not comparing myself, okay I'm learning not to do that. Oh and when you tried to put the measuring tape back in you couldn't hear me yelling find the button and push it. I have one similar that I used to carry in my purse.
@@KristyRice glad you caught the humor, sometimes people take my comments too seriously. Have to admit I went through your comments hoping someone had shared a coupon. I still will "have" to go look.
I bought a water fountain for my kitten from Temu. I didn’t know what the quality would be like but it was half the price of the cheapest on Amazon. It’s great & my kitten loves it. Fast delivery too. I’m in UK. I hope you enjoyed your haul overall. I would have bought the book/journal. The design was clever marketing but you created a great painting. Thanks for sharing everything. You’ve tempted me to look for other things on Temu. xxxxx🐈🖼️💖
I’ve noticed that Temu increase their prices once you’ve ordered a few times. I do an order each week small orders. I have no problem reporting items that come broken or were overstated on the website. I get a refund on the item and many times they don’t even want it posted back. I don’t accept anything too small or cheap Chinese junk. Even if it cost only a few dollars, I ask for the refund and I get it. Also don’t ignore the price adjustment button by clicking on orders, then the order total, then at bottom of the page is the price adjustment and have the difference added to your Temu account. It all adds up and some of my next entire order sometimes comes free. Example, I ordered a tankini (swimsuit) and it was a little too tight. I got a refund, they didn’t want it back, I used the refund to get a larger size for this season, and the smaller one will fit me better next year. Win win.
Just recently discovered your channel, and am loving ALL of your videos! I absolutely love where this painting ended up, it is simply gor-geous! I particularly enjoy how you used a variety of mixed media, it gives the piece dimension and character. This is something I'm drawn to and have been wanting to try more of in my art as well. Thank you for posting all of your wonderful videos, I have been loving watching them while I work, it keeps me in a creative headspace at a very non-creative job. I've been delving into watercolor and gouache for the past year, and frankly have spent a butt-ton on paint (all of which I LOVE) BUT your Art for Joy's Sake Pallet and brushes are already my favorite! The curated collection has allowed me to dive into mixing my own colors without being too intimidating! Can't wait to start creating with them. Just wanted to say thank you for being real about your art process and showing us how to find the joy in making art!
Beautiful painting and thank you for testing out Temu art supplies. I've been hesitant to try them and you have shown that they do have have some decent stuff to play with!
I absolutely love the end result! You really got the Oriental fabric effect! Also, need to get myself one of those acrylic white markers, it's amazeballs
YOU are fabulous!! I thoroughly enjoyed your video! I subscribed so I don't miss you, I just discovered you! I want to try water coloring and will order some of your art supplies. I love Temu and just ordered my 5th haul. My art is creating beautiful vintage greeting cards. I love watching you create and paint your delightful crane! Thank you for your fantastic video! Also, I love your personality and the way you present yourself. You made my day! Thank you hehe
I ordered the same watercolors, so I was happy to see you try them out. From what I've seen, I think I'll be happy with them when they arrive. Thanks Kristy!
This was the first video of yours I’ve ever seen, and I feel in love with you and watercolour painting - never done it before, but just the way you talk about how to paint and to be kind to yourself when painting was absolutely amazing. I subscribed and “booped” ❤ Are you going to sell the piece you painted? I would love to buy it as a reminder as to how I feel in love with watercolour paint Keep up your amazing work and passion ❤
Love the crane and chrysanthemum picture! Really beautiful ! Love the crane square pad....its going to be bought if they still have it! Love this video! Down to earth, tell it like it is! More please - and thanks
I don’t think you talk too much (your infectious enthusiasm is a tonic), but enjoy the relaxing music you use in between, for a change of pace. The combo was good. You have totally enabled me and I’ve just placed an order for a few things, including the stamps and sketchbook. Being in Sydney, I’m a little freaked out by the lack of packing in your haul, so I’m hoping they will put in a little more effort for international delivery. I found the free postage to Australia a pleasant surprise!!
I saw a lady doing an amazing artwork with just crayons. As an artist, if you know how to layer and use color, you can pretty much make good artwork with even cheap supplies.
I've been painting with acrylics for many many years. I kept trying to use watercolors like acrylic, you just can't. The thing that finally worked for me with my autistic ADD brain, was to think of them as ink blocks that I needed to add enough water to make ink, not leaving it thick like acrylic paint. Then again the way she's using that gouache, it looks like acrylic paint. Lol
My art supply haul was built up over time. My last purchase was Kingart Gel sticks which are the same as Marabu. The quality and quantities are much better. Another inexpensive product is Castle Landscape palette ofsoft colored pencils. I love them. I have a couple of Temu items. Not art supplies.
I love art hauls, but when they are sporadic. I did not expect what you painted. However I am not surprised because it is a beautiful and inspirational cover. I absolutely loved the "embroidery texture" the acrylic marker gave. I was hoping that you would make the bird more white again. I am glad you got rid of the legs. They are actually quite accurate, but I think it looks asthetically more pleasing. I love it when artists free talk because they verbally process and I usually learn a lot. I think that a tutorial every video is too much anyway. It is good to have this type of creativity again sporadically. I do come here for your tutorials but every so often it is great to get a completely different video. It helps to remember that not every art session has to, or should, be the same. I absolutely love the outcome and did not expect such an epic piece to emerge from such divergent supplies. I would love to see you use tge watercolour set as watercolours and see what happens. I would also appreciate a more tutorial type of painting using the gouache. That is what I originally expected and was hoping for, but I am super happy that you did this instead. So I would really like it if you could please do a watercolour trial with the 'watercolour pallet' and something we can paint (not necessarily a straightup tutorial) gouache painting with the tube gouache paints. I am trying to understand how to paint with gouache as gouache and not as watercolour. So I would appreciate your help in this regard. I know that you are mainly a watercolour channel and I am here for the watercolour but like you, when I discovered gouache, I wanted to paint with it. I keep falling into watercolour painting though because I do not have a good enough grasp of gouache. Please help 😊. ❤
LOVE what you did with the book cover on your painting. But oh no, I was so interested in the paper inside that little sketchpad with the cranes on it. Can you tell me what kind of paper was inside. I have had one in my cart for a long time. Is it just sketch paper or will it take paint? Thank you so much!
Just FYI. Temu is under investigation as they are shipping directly from China and reportedly using companies known for "sweat shops and slave labor wages" by passing US laws, etc. Love your art!!!
I just posted about them today on Instagram. I’m breaking any affiliation or support of them. They are also upholding a tremendous amount of copyright and trademark infringement
WOW! You are such a good artist. I wish I had the ease of putting paint or pen to paper and creating any art that flows from your heart. You are an inspiration! I found the website and I'm going to order some of the supplies you demoed. 🎠
I like it when you talk, but the music while you paint is a nice alternative. It's so relaxing. You could do whole videos like that, i love it. Maybe come up with a name for it and make it a series that you do once in awhile. Love you! I really like how this painting came out!
This is my understanding about sales tax: Temu doesn't have to have a warehouse in your state to be required to charge state sales tax. PA used to rely on the buyer to say if they bought something online and didn't pay taxes and then voluntarily pay the tax. That didn't work, so they now require vendors to collect the tax if items are shipped to PA.
I was always taught teal is a blue green, and turquoise is a bright clear blue like peacock blue or a bright blue topaz stone. I love Temu for art supplies. Some things are a swing and a miss, but sometimes you get surprised. And I want to know which of the sketchbooks you ordered. I LOVE the one with the crane. But can't find it just tons of other ones. And I LOVE when you talk a lot, because when you do, you're sharing your knowledge and skill which I eat up like candy!
Thanks for being. I am following you since few weeks and you are the best joy supplie that existing in that world. I love that way that you paint and it is giving me back that sponteneous feeling that sickness have faded in me so just for the joy thanhs and I had watercolor supplies in my desk since too long and your way is giving me back the drive to plonge in creativity. Since I’m retired I needed that so long life and keep it that way. By the way I am from Granby, Quebec. 😊
You are so talented. This video was fun, entertaining and informative. I had such a terrible experience ordering clothes from TEMU that I was completely turned off. However, watching artists like yourself demonstrate the "hauls" I ordered a few art supplies which are on their way.. So hopefully I won't be disappointed again. Thanks for this video. Please continue and I don't feel you talk too much!
I am going to give Temu a try and just see what can I create when it comes in . Looking at your creation gives me a spark of you can do this . Thanks so much for the inspirational videos I just love your energy that you put into them and your artwork is awesome. Watching your videos along with Jesse Karp I am getting into watercolor more. Love your videos. Thank you so much happy painting.❤❤❤😊
Loved your Temu haul and demo! Question : if I get the gouache can I put in a travel palette? It will obviously dry in palette like a pan gouache! Will it re-wet well??? I want to get a tiny wooden travel palette...
I hardly, barely, minutely, know how to watercolor, but desperately want to. I love the review of the beautiful colors of the watercolours. At that price I don't care that I can't draw a straight line, I can learn with these. they're beautiful
Hey Kristy! Just wanted to say that I have been interested in water color for awhile and think I'm going to give it a try just from watching your channel. Love what you did with your Temu haul. It was very beautiful!❤
I recently bought the DEDEPRAISE 12 ocean "glittery" water color palette. It's like a liquid graphite/water color hybrid. It has a bit of a grain to it and it's a very subtle metallic finish, not glittery. I also bought the DEDEPRAISE starry color "glittery" watercolor palette. It is very metallic, not glittery. I really love the colors, textures, and finishes of both palettes. I also like how they mix with other water colors/intense/Daniel Smith..
Hi Kristy! I love your videos! Always so inspirational! If you like trying new supplies, I would suggest the Woodys 3 in 1 from stabilo! They are hyper pigmented coloured pencils, but also water soluble, kind of like watercolor pencils, but more “waxy”They are meant for kids, and thus have a big “tip”, but I am having a lot of joy exploring their versatility! Also, you can draw with those on black paper, and even on windows (They clean up really easily!). I purchased them for the kids, but I think I’m having more fun with the woodys than they are 😂 lots of love, Aurelie
I loved the video style and even more, the mixed media piece you created. Those highlighters were really a surprise for me as well. I have plenty of art supplies to try to replicate what you created with the TEMU art supplies.
I came across your channel. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. Your encouragement and helpful tips are so eye opening. I am excited about starting in my adventure of watercolor. ❤
I really enjoyed watching your process, how the composition developed from the inspiration to painting. I am not sure that I would ever buy from Temu, but I do like going to Five Below.
I looked but couldn't find it anyone mentioned: for the tape measure, if you press the center or tug like on a retractable cord, it should go back in. One of the two should work. Thanks for a fun vid!
I'm in Canada. I made my first purchase last month. I like that I only had to buy $20 worth of stuff to qualify for free shipping. Arrived a day late, and got a $5 discount. The best thing is it's delivered by Canada Post so I didn't have to worry about getting my package stolen. Haven't thought about buying art pens yet because I want to use my current supplies first. With watercolor paper, I'm only concerned with the weight - has to be 140lbs. Haven't tried anything thicker yet. Enjoyed your reveal of everything you bought. PS I'm into mixed media, and it was tough deciding between all the little pictures, washi tape/stickers and decorative papers. The selection is insane.
I know this video is from months back but just wanted to comment on your sketching grip: this grip position leans away from the thumbwell and does indeed afford you a lot more precision and control. It is fairly common to teach this grip to those who do Chinese calligraphy or Japanese sumi-e for exactly this reason. The fingers, particularly the index, are free to guide the instrument without the "lag" you would have if the pen or brush sat within the well where most people typically hold their pens. The center of gravity also changes to be more within the hand than towards the wrist. I would imagine you could personally produce very fast and smooth vertical lines with a brush using your grip. 😊
Hi Kristy, loved your video ❤. I just discovered you and really enjoyed watching what you purchased as well as seeing you create your lovely painting. Those are cranes on the journals. I liked the highlighters and pens best. 🍀 By the way they are good at doing returns if stuff isn't right, only thing is you get credit towards next purchase.
Im waiting on an order of sparkly paint and now you show me this...gouache in a pan? Oooh! Me like idea. Inner turmoil, anxiety... There's only one thing to do... See if I can find one of those coupons and maybe Temu has filters for my cat water fountain while Im at it. The flowers and bird remind me of crewel fabric which Ive always loved.
I found you very entertaining. I like your personality. I normally paint in oils and acrylics less often. I've seen people watercolor and it always intimidates me. Guasch is a new medium to see. I marked it like and i subscribed.
I made one tiny Temu haul and most of it was...junk. That said, I LOVE what you painted here, it's absolutely lovely, detailed, etc. I was dubious about the pan paints, but in the end liked them very much!!! They performed beautifully. And I think you talked just about right today! :)
I've done numerous hauls with Temu with 99.5% satisfaction. My orders generally have USA shipping labels like California or New Jersey. The only shopping I do on Amazon these days, is for their used books. A lot of items and advertising photos on Amazon are Temu items. I'd rather pay Temu prices than Amazon prices.

So yeah, I’m going to join the watercolor interest group. Since it’s more opaque, I want to try it for urban sketching.
I think micron pens might want to look out for the tear drop measuring pens. I really want to have a manic buying day, at TEMU’s site.
I love filming hauls!
Thanks for being an enabler 😂. I have ordered from TEMU several times. I had one order stolen from my mailbox and they replaced the entire order! I’ve been happy with everything I’ve ordered.

@@KristyRice Yes, I agree!!
I am a true customer of Temu. I have not ordered paints like you did, but I love your use of the supplies. Great job very beautiful.❤
It's your turn now!
I’m glad you tested these watercolors. They have been on my Temu radar for a while. And now I know I should try them.

Love hearing the way your creative brain works! Great project…from blank page to what fun!
Glad you enjoy it!
I love Temu’s metallic watercolors. I also love their pencil sharpener with 5 sizes of holes. Their black erasers are great too!
I'll definitely be ordering those watercolor paints! They look really pretty! Thanks for reviewing these.
That's great!
Yes packing was shockingly bare. I expected damage but there was none?
Love it when you review things. So through, so fun to see the supplies in action.
Thanks so much!
This was fun to watch! I’ve been trying NOT to buy more art supplies for a bit, so I lived vicariously thru you! 😄
That works! LOL!
Ditto
It was so interesting watching you unbox all the things and then make something beautiful. Thanks again Kristy!
You teach me something new each time I watch you.
Good to know!
Thank you so much!
I think I ordered one of the 6 color metallic sets as well. They had like blues. "Galaxy" maybe. Excited for it to arrive!
@@andreaskyeyes!! That's 1 of the 4 I got (maybe there were only 4 6's, I honestly don't know), and I can promise you you're going to LOVE that set.
Oh please do give it a go!
I love your positivity and excitement in your videos. It makes me happy. I am starting to drop the fear when approaching art making, thanks to your encouragement and perspective.😊
Thank you so much! That makes ME happy!
Wow, you are talented! What you painted is awesome. Love the watercolor paints and those highlighters. 😊
I like that you change up the styles of your videos! It makes it interesting and I think you should keep doing what works for you 💜
Thank you! Will do!
I have tried backgrounds with gouache and I like the feeling of control I have more so than with watercolor. I love the color you mixed up!
I totally agree!
Very nice artwork you created with these Temu products. Very impressive. I honestly didn’t mind your talking. I think you are very cheery. 😊
Thank you so much!
Love this comment, made me giggle!
Straight up creativity at its finest!❤ I was not expecting the WOW factor of the finished piece. You are fantabulous😊
Awww thanks!
Beautiful painting and thank you for testing out Temu art supplies. I've been hesitant to try them and you have shown that they do have have some decent stuff to play with!
Kristy playing! Showing the Joy!
I Very much enjoyed this video. Would love to see more like this. Thanks for sharing your haul and your creativity. Blessings.
More to come!
I absolutely love the end result! You really got the Oriental fabric effect! Also, need to get myself one of those acrylic white markers, it's amazeballs
You should!
Oh thank you!
I ordered the same watercolors, so I was happy to see you try them out. From what I've seen, I think I'll be happy with them when they arrive. Thanks Kristy!
I think of Teal as having more Black in it. Turquoise is a livelier color and Teal is more sophisticated because of the Black element.
This was the first video of yours I’ve ever seen, and I feel in love with you and watercolour painting - never done it before, but just the way you talk about how to paint and to be kind to yourself when painting was absolutely amazing.
I subscribed and “booped” ❤
Are you going to sell the piece you painted?
I would love to buy it as a reminder as to how I feel in love with watercolour paint
Keep up your amazing work and passion ❤
Nice!!
I saw a lady doing an amazing artwork with just crayons. As an artist, if you know how to layer and use color, you can pretty much make good artwork with even cheap supplies.
I’m a fetus in my watercolor journey so appreciate your play by play, hells keep my anxiety down 😂
SAME! I'm in awe, as a fetus too LOL, with watching her create!
I agree with you Ben. I love the way you explained this! You hit the nail on the head!
I have one of those tape measures. I carry it in my purse. It has come in handy so many times.
Really enjoyed the art haul! I love your energy it’s contagious and always puts a smile on my face!! Also congratulations on 100k YAY!! 😊
Thank you so much!!
There should be a button on the tape measure to bring it in! Check for one. Isn’t it fun! Am waiting for mine to come in July!!
How does that compare to Amazon or Apple?
WOW! You are such a good artist. I wish I had the ease of putting paint or pen to paper and creating any art that flows from your heart. You are an inspiration! I found the website and I'm going to order some of the supplies you demoed. 🎠
Thank you so much 😀
Loving what you did with your Temu haul! The painting is awesome with all the different things you used. Inspiring!
I like it when you talk, but the music while you paint is a nice alternative. It's so relaxing. You could do whole videos like that, i love it. Maybe come up with a name for it and make it a series that you do once in awhile. Love you! I really like how this painting came out!
Noted!
I love my eraser pencils, great for getting in small placing and adding highlights to drawings
Please do! Share your results with me on insta @kristythepainter
Like maybe teal is a bit greener than turquoise. Here's one for you How do you get the Lizard out of the Alizarin Crimson????
Loved your Temu haul and demo!
Question : if I get the gouache can I put in a travel palette? It will obviously dry in palette like a pan gouache! Will it re-wet well??? I want to get a tiny wooden travel palette...
Yes it will rewet, but will take longer to rewet to fully soft so may be difficult to get this thicker applications while traveling
Great deal on Temu is Baohong WC paper-both Academy and Artist. Really good 100% cotton paper if you haven't tried it.
Wow! I love your artwork. I have subscribed and I am looking forward to seeing more of your art
Thanks for subbing!
I’m late to the party, but I love it when you talk a lot, Kristy! 😊
Yay! Thank you!
Go for it!
Not chalky?
I have not experienced a chalky texture when I have used these paints.
Oooooh I want!!
Team replay...you crack me up!!!! I thought I was the only one who threw packaging on the floor!!
You always make my day!! ❤❤❤😂
😁
I loved the video style and even more, the mixed media piece you created. Those highlighters were really a surprise for me as well. I have plenty of art supplies to try to replicate what you created with the TEMU art supplies.
Oh yes replicate because this was such a blast!!!
I came across your channel. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your videos. Your encouragement and helpful tips are so eye opening. I am excited about starting in my adventure of watercolor. ❤
I'm so glad!
I really enjoyed watching your process, how the composition developed from the inspiration to painting. I am not sure that I would ever buy from Temu, but I do like going to Five Below.
Thank you so much!
I really like the look of those colourful gel pens! Also those gouache packets are so cute, great haul 😊
Thank you!! 😊
The end was beautiful. Better than the cover of the journal 👍🏻😍
Wow! Thanks!
I love it when you are sharing your thought process with words! 😍 I thought the legs were fine, but a flying crane would be an incredible sight!!🥰
Love this video, love the chat, so much fun watching this come together. I paused and shopped Temu (again.) Thanks for a fun time!
So glad!
I do think I'm going to try that watercolor pallet next time I order.
I love temu. I'm addicted
I fell for those watercolors and did a moody winter barn. They were somewhat opaque but I really like the art I made.
Looking at all the gel food coloring that I have (I’m a cookier), turquoise is more blue and teal more green.
Approach is very helpful and valuable. Its great to hear you verbalizing your thinking process. Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Felt like I was just muttering nonsense at times lol!
I found you very entertaining. I like your personality. I normally paint in oils and acrylics less often. I've seen people watercolor and it always intimidates me. Guasch is a new medium to see. I marked it like and i subscribed.
Thank you so much!
I made one tiny Temu haul and most of it was...junk. That said, I LOVE what you painted here, it's absolutely lovely, detailed, etc. I was dubious about the pan paints, but in the end liked them very much!!! They performed beautifully. And I think you talked just about right today! :)
Thanks!
You're welcome! And I stocked up on all of your empty palettes at Amazon today before they're sold out. GORG!!@@KristyRice
Just be careful. Temu is harboring copycat pop up brands :(
