Ethics aside, I don't think I'll ever be able to shop on Temu because the crazy popups and discount timers and chaos give me visual hives. Amazon will continue to get my questionable ethics dollars (or lack thereof
Those Silver Black velvet dupe travel brushes are actually kinda nice. My go to brush is a Silver Black Velvet travel round 8 so I got some of those dupes as a backup and they are not too bad, though fully synthetic.
The ceramic palette is soo adorable! Also the organ sketchbook is really easy to diy, thats my usually go to sketchbooks to use. I'm really interested about the baohong skecthbooks, how would they compare to each other.
You definitely scored on the paper. I'm not a fan of the Potentate paper... it behaved like cotton paper until it didn't. Don't know if that makes sense, but it wicked out on the sides and didn't take to masking tape so well. However Baohong paper is one of the best, imo, so you are set with those. I still haven't shopped at Temu... yet lol. The more I see the Baohong paper, the more I'd like to change my mind.
They really have the Baohong paper at the best price out there... If the Potentate paper doesn't pan out, it might be decent for painting with gouache or acrylic (regular or gouache).
I would love a video or two where you review several of the same kind of items together. So like one with the paints, one with the papers, etc. I’m also curious to hear what you think of the brushes. Also: i scared my sleeping cat with my mad cackling over the great balcony toss of 2024😂😂😂😂
Is the grey Baohong sketchbook cellulose? I was tempted but the reviews and description seem to suggest it may not be their usual cotton paper? Have you tried it yet?
I don’t care what they say about the ethics of Temu, I’ll buy sketchbooks from them any day of the week. The price for sketchbooks in Australia is ridiculous. You can’t even get the cheaper ones shipped from overseas because of distribution restrictions! It makes me so angry. Also the case for many art materials.
I’m Australian, and you must not be looking around much if you can’t find a cheap sketchbook as there’s plenty around. Unless your idea of a reasonably priced sketchbook is less than $5.
That paper is all an absolute bargain! Did you try the dip pen yet? I’ve had a few from Temu and got refunds for all of them, they were unusable. Eventually i just paid a few pounds for a Leonardt nib and holdrr from an actual art shop!
Getting that Baohong Accordion book at the price you got it for is a STEAL. I have the cold press one I have to use more ... I want the hot press one. They are big!
Dear art friends, Please understand that Temu prices are too good to be true! I think they must be a heavely Chinese state subsidised business. Unfair business for sure.

I would certainly call that a good haul. Looking forward to seeing you try everything out.
Thank you! I'm excited to try everything as well XD

For people who prefer synthetic hair brushes, this is excellent news! They look really good, I'm eager to try them out :D
i bought the little postcard size and the other watercolour paper on ali, works great for me. perfect for swatches and just testing colours 😀
Oh, that's good to know! :D

I'm probably gonna try the Baohong papers in one video, I think it would be interesting to be able to compare them between themselves :D

Is that the one with the cloth cover and the colourful embossed logo? I haven't tried it yet.
@@EveBolt yes, I am super tempted by it because Baohong but wary as I don’t really want another cellulose sketchbook to add to the reject pile
Nice haul!

They are surprisingly big, indeed! I was surprised!!
