one of the best bang for your buck RCs out there, not crazy fast, but not really slow either. i love these things, and remote lockable diffs? BiWinning.
The Titan 775 is good up to 16.8V, any higher than that in voltage will damage it (and probably the motor controller). Packs capable of providing larger currents though (greater "C" ratings) will provide punchier throttle and faster acceleration. Its normal for brushed motors to make small sparks where the brushes ride on the commutator and they will be more noticeable when punching the throttle or jamming the brakes.
i bought mine about 5 months ago and yes it does indeed have low voltage detection and cut off.it has an extra pamphlet with it to show you how to program the speed controller for lipos.and sure enough when they get low ....she goes half speed and starts blinking red.

No unfortunately they still rust.. I spray mine down with Armor All or Turtle wax to counter the rusty bits. seems to work well.i just spray it on and let it air dry. Certaintly looks pretty afterwards.
yep the flux is rapid had a play with it at the gadget show live about the only person who knew how to drive it fortunatly there so strong it dident even brake it was awesome doing backflips from stand still.
I haven't tried it before but have the Tekin RX8 and a friend tried the duals. It's great still, just not Mamba or RX8 status. AND you can buy 1 Mamba or RX8 for the same price as 2 VXL's. 1 VXL will burn up with the summit.
Randy, you can just go and drop in a 6s capable mamba monster or tekin rx8, but the diffs and the drivetrain could suffer even although traxxas makes it with metal gears. diffs are pricy (like $50) so its kinda your call because 6s lipo will blow tires to shreds I 100% guarantee!
Have you tried it before? I still need an answer to fast and waterproof. I don't want to waterproof the Mamba because I don't want to risk $450 all because I didn't waterproof it thoroughly enough. I like to have guaranteed waterproofness.

Yes the new ones with the new graphics DO come with low voltage detection/cut off on the evx 2. Mine came with directions saying so

No. I use a low voltage alarm on the esc side battery tray. I have two 2s traxxas 7600 mah. Over 2 hours run time.

@ElektronikFan Batteries aren't affected in the water. But all the rest of the electronics need to be protected. Which they are on the Summit. B¬)
woudl the traxxas high current connectors not short out? would the lipo's balance tap not short out either?
so what about the plugs on the batteries, are they ok go get wet?, and the balance plugs too?

i wonder if the screws are stainless.....saw sum summits an slashs with screws turning yellow/ starting to rust.

If it has the evx2 esc then no it doesnt have a lvc for lipos. Ive had mine for maybe a month. Save yourself some heartache and trust me get an alarm.
why are you only running it at 14.8 V when the speed control and motor can handle 16.8 volts
It goes to half speed when the lipos get low
