  • If your Travel motor seems to have lost it's thrust, you may have broken a shear pin by hitting an underwater object. This video will help you learn how to remove the propeller on your Torqeedo Travel motor to replace the shear pin and/or propeller.

    Thanks. Needed to buy a wrench set for £30 to get prop off, and now see that shear pin is broken and back of propeller is damaged so need to buy a new one for £100. However still better than sending off to service centre. Thanks again! 🙂

    My propeller is completely attached to screw. I took nut off and it just spins with propeller. Should I wack it with a mallet?

      Hello EncountersUSA! It sounds like your propeller is stuck on the shaft. Before attempting to use a mallet or hammer, I'd recommend trying the following steps:
      1.Check for any visible obstructions or debris that might be holding the propeller in place.
      2.Try gently wiggling the propeller by hand to loosen any blockages.
      3. If you decide to use a mallet or soft hammer, do so with caution. A forceful hit could damage the propeller or the shaft.
      4. If that doesn't work, consider using a lubricant or rust remover.
      If you continue to face issues, we advise reaching out to our customer service. You can contact them at: T +1 (815) 444 8806 / service_usa@torqeedo.com. Safety first!

    I see no mention of an anode. Where would I see that?

      Hello,
      anodes are mentioned in the manual and are simply screwed onto the shaft,

      and can be purchased on out webside or any Service Partner or Reseller.

      See you on the water!

    Do you need to use a new nylock nut?

    • @TORQEEDOGmbH
      @TORQEEDOGmbH  5 лет назад

      Hi mrwrapper, in the ideal case it is the best to use a new nut, but is not absolutely necessary.
      Due to the fact it is a self-locking nut, it loses its "securing effect" with repeated use.

      @@TORQEEDOGmbH hello, the shearing pin got twisted around inside the propeller when I hit a rock and one of the propellers fell off. We had to cut the propeller off with a saw and then pry it out piece by piece.
