    Absolutely love this Aqualion!
Similar to how for me Vertex nails that modern reinterpretation of a Dirty Dozen field watch with the M100 the M60 does the same for retro inspired divers. If I was being really picky I kind of wish it had drilled lugs (for the look more than anything) but that quick release bracelet and rubber strap look amazing and totally negate the need for them so who needs drilled lugs anyway?
If my watch budget was bigger I’d absolutely have an M100 and an M60 in my collection tomorrow! Love them!
Awesome show as always MWC! Feels like you’re doing a great job of refining the flow of the show and I love the cuts to films and tv shows you popped in here and there too. Really worked well 👏👏👏👏

Gareth! I appreciate this a hell of a lot. I take your opinions very strongly as you’ve been a part of my shows for a long time!
It’s been a conscious effort of mine to bring in and keep a new viewer whilst still give the same MWC style! I’ve shaved 2:30 minutes off the time between the start and seeing the watch which hopefully will help retention!
It’s funny! I didn’t miss the drilled lugs?! Exactly like you said regarding the 3 straps which I have to say are made of the best materials money can buy!!!! The spring bars included are the little trigger release ones. Aesthetic speaking yes it would have been a cool nod to the old days with DL’s!
I’d love to own a Vertex! It’s my mission to now!

It's a very handsome, well built and well thought out watch. I guessed the price at about £2K but £2.8K is probably not that far out for someone looking for a cool niche watch like this. Great video, thanks.

I really like it. Don't generally warm to black face "submariner" inspired divers but this has got something about it that works for me...a Heritage brand name, matt ceramic bezel, the numbers on the dial made of lume, serious depth rating, great bracelet interchangeably, quality hard box and accessories. Throw in that you can wear it in town without fear of being clocked and robbed and it makes it a winner!

Love it! That caseback feature is ace. I’ve said this in a few of my own reviews and in discussions that I wish manufacturers would line up the casebacks. It’s all in the small detail.
Bezel insert is a bit generic for me minute markers to 15 only. I’d have liked a scale all over.

Great watch with some really great detail. Shame it's not £1000 cheaper as that would make it a no brainer. But for that price, there's a lot of competition out there and I'm just not sure people will want to commit to what is essentially a micro brand (albeit with massive pedigree) at that price point. I hope people do. We need watches and UK makers like this. Another great video.

    • @THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR

Stunning watch, love the whole design concept, the knurled crown and bezel, case back, lumed markers which are the right colour for the 1960s and the case back, even the font used on the 3 6 9 and 12 are true to that period, a bit like the Seamaster 300
The only thing that stops me in my tracks is probably the price, you can get an Oris Aquis for £1000 cheaper and with the money you have left you can pick up a nice Seiko
Still it is unique and if you have the bucks go for it 👍

Wow that's a great watch- although they are competing in some very distinguished company at that price point... but with the quality, attention to detail, history and brand revival by a blood relation, it doesn't seem too far off the mark. BTW, speaking of attention to detail- cheers to all of the great work you are doing with the videos. Subtle refinements, smoothing things out, but keeping all of the fun and entertainment intact. Well done!

It’s a lovely well made watch, and there has clearly been a lot of thought put into it. The knurling is the sort of feature which should be on a lot more divers. It’s the price for me. Making a price comparison with Christopher Ward, it’s hard to justify getting on for 3k. The CW C60’s are 60bar, sapphire, sellita sw200 and the finishing and hands on feel are great quality. Oris has also been mentioned, also cheaper and very well made. I guess the military history is a draw, just not THAT £ much 😅

I'm not keen on the Christopher Wards "Branding".. Its starting to change..don't get me wrong!..their watches are beautifully made..stunning dials imo..BUTT!💖 I'm not keen on their very plain writing/branding on them.. I think they've realized this as it seems they're shaking things up a little..but still!..i personally would like a LOT more " flair" for the prices they ask!.. They have funky "everything else".. But branding wise...MEH!💔

@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR I’m still not sure why I would buy this over a Christopher Ward C65 Dartmouth as the movement is a chronometer and a third of the price. Also the aesthetic is closer to the military and licensed by the Ministry of Defence.

Peter you can do what you like my friend! CW are a bit of a meh brand to me, take away the CW logo and you wouldn’t be able to guess what the brand was apart from the fact that it’s a decent well made watch. I have to buy into the brand, core values, history , innovation in a very competitive market, If you get that from a CW then that’s superb! I’ve reviewed and handled hundreds of watches now and just good specs doesn’t do it for me anymore .

Superb review and entertainment. The watch itself is high performance and a great looker. Is it desirable and different enough to go out and spend £2800 ? Questionable. At this price point what else could you get ? Depends what you want / need from a watch. I wish this company well with this beautiful watch but at this price point it is in a difficult place. If you can afford and you don't want to join the Tudor 'family' by wearing the latest 'populist' watch brand then be an individual and get something like a Vertex. It is also in the same space as Zero West Watches. Given the choice for 3 grand ? I know where I would go. Once again, great review and entertainment.

It’s a beautiful and seemingly well made watch. The attention to detail is very evident. The only problem I can see is the price. The price is very high for a micro brand. Other micro brands like Swiss Watch Company have fantastic divers for a quarter the price. Especially since is just has a SW300 movement ( which I love) the price isn’t competitive. Personally I’d rather have a Sinn U1 or U50 for the price point ( and I really love Sinn. So basically a great watch that’s overpriced, in my opinion.

Great review of a very nice watch. However, I don't think there is any point having more than 300m water resistance and the price puts it up against some great watches. If I was to spend £3000, I think I would buy a Bremont who are bringing watch making back to England .

Thanks for watching my friend! Bremont aren’t that old!! They were pricing themselves pretty high right off the bat with off the shelf movements , then adding parts to movements to give them the signature Bremont style! In order for them to be where they are today they COULD NOT have done that starting up, if they did a watch to buy would’ve costed 30k!;) I’ve held an Argonaut love it, I’d easily put the M60 in with Bremont
