Being a man in a woman's body doesn't mean she isn't honest. She isn't trying to cheat, she was born that way. But she isn't a woman in the normal sense. Massively higher levels of testosterone than is normal in a woman leads to those performances.
Not her fault, but she should be banned from athletics.

The organization and individuals who leaked her medical examination results should have been sued. This is what caused her the most significant problems. Many athletes get tested, disqualified quietly, and never compete in athletics again. Their physical condition is not allowed to be disclosed to the public without their consent, as it's a highly personal matter beyond their control.

NO! It was wrong to take all those medals away from deserving women! It's very unfortunate that this happened to her, but the bottom line is she should NEVER have been allowed to compete after the diagnosis because SHE IS A MAN!!! Just a slightly above average male runner who can break 2:00 in the 800. I ran the same times as she did when I was 18 and 19 years. The nearest girl would have been rounding the turn into the straight 100 meters away when the leading men were finishing. Once she was explained that she was misgendered at birth and that she must have her testicles removed so she doesn't get cancer, she decided to leave them in! Why? Because they were the reason she is built like a man. "Her" testicles request the testosterone from her brain! But she was told that if she has them removed, her career would be over... SO SHE SHE KEPT THEM IN AND COMPETED FOR YEARS!!! They left that part out. She is a cheater and the only people who should sue are those women who were denied their honor. Are you people brainwashed, stupid or what?!?!? SHE IS A MAN COMPETING AS A WOMAN, AND GIVEN A FREE PASS TO DO SO BECAUSE IT WAS NOT INITIALLY INTENTIONAL... UNTIL IT WAS ABSOLUTELY INTENTIONAL! Would you be saying this if you were one of the women who came in second at all those international championships? Reading all these stupid comments, I am loosing my faith in humanity. It's like her fucking feelings are more important than the truth or what's right. What about all those women she beat? What would you say if they were your daughters? "Oh, but she's so nice; she's so cool." Has the world lost i's mind!?!? This is sport, who cares how she identifies! For fucks sake! She's XY! PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR ASS! She's a man!!!

I agree with everything you mentioned except using female pronouns where Caster Semenya is concerned. This is a biological male (XY chromosomes, undescended testes) whose development didn't follow the expected path. Not their fault. But society needs to create spaces for people with similar conditions so they can have a place to fit in and fully participate without being shamed or ridiculed. However, competing as a female is unfair to women.

Before saying people are wrong we should ask ourselves a few questions. Let me give an example l am over sixty years of age and train very hard to run a 5000 metres veteran race. At the start line l see a guy who seems to be in his thirties. Obviously l would querry the situation . Fast forward to this situation you are a female and you see someone who looks masculine wouldn't you ask questions. Caster Semenya is definitely not a female end of story.

I agree with you. As we can see society is bias when it comes to pick and choose what they support. @mxRian4, only he is not a she. He may be kind, cool, and resilient but kind, cool, and resilient does not make him a female. Besides which, the women who have competed with him can be said to be even more kind, cool and resilient because they have competed with a man and lost to him and he has gotten the accolades for being a remarkable ‘woman’ athlete. Such a travesty and such a horrendous lie. He is a man and all those times he won against women he did so because he had the advantages that come with being a man competing with women in a sport.

@@wuncieadams1352 It seems that you aren't clear about what a hermaphrodite is. The definition of a hermaphrodite says that the person has genetalia of both genders. Undescended testicles, but no penis. Breast development, no uterus. With no penis, she was called a girl on the birth certificate and was raised a girl. No one has a clue about how things are different inside their body until puberty, when the lack of period eventually triggers a visit to the gynecologist for testing. At that point, you think someone should be changed to "he"?
If Caster had not been an athlete, this diagnosis may have been revealed during efforts for Caster to try to get pregnant. And, it seems that there is a vagina as well. I say... it's none of our business -- this is extremely personal!

It is certainly sad this genetic reality had to be exposed to the world. Caster has the unfair advantage of a genetic male, so can’t compete in female elite sports. Most males also can’t compete at elite female sports levels but if we let males in, top males would dominate all top positions over all females. @@wuncieadams1352 Exactly! Just because it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck does not mean it is a duck. Caster outwardly looked a lot like a woman but with internal testes is NOT a woman.
This individual is biologically "intersex" meaning that the gonads were male and NOT ovaries like a female. The testes are hidden inside the body in Caster, not hanging freely as with normal males. This is much the way it is in birds, reptiles and fish. Roosters are clearly male though you see nothing dangling below their tail.
In humans this is called DSD, Differences of Sexual Development. All DSD athletes have to do in order to compete again as a woman is to bring their blood levels of testosterone down to the normal range for females.
The World Athletics policies apply to women with 46, XY DSD-they have an X and Y chromosome in each cell (a typical male pattern) and male-range testosterone levels, as well as genitalia that is not typically male or female.
According to Children’s National Hospital, DSD is not as rare as most people assume and can affect about 1 in 100 newborns.
World Athletics has restricted women with DSD from competing on the track because, officials argue, that they have an unfair advantage in strength, muscle mass, and the increased testosterone levels improve oxygen-carrying capacity are required to have testosterone levels below 5 nmol/L. It is possible for women with DSD to lower their testosterone levels through medication, like birth control or injections, or through surgery to remove internal testes (which can produce testosterone)."
      www.womensrunning.com/culture/dsd-athletes-meaning-and-world-athletics-rules/
Transsexuals also are banned from women's athletics on the international level, as they should be. For the reasons that males going through puberty develop stronger skeletal structures, greater muscle mass and strength and can carry oxygen throughout their bloodstreams better, it leaves them with some advantages even after their dangling testicles have been lopped off and makeshift vaginas surgically installed.

This was against Caster's human rights and that's why the court of human rights found in her favour, and quite rightly so.
Knowing they WA and Coe would lose the human rights case with Castor the WA hurriedly changed the rules for March 2023 testosterone levels. They reduced the levels from 5ml cut off point to 2.5ml for 6 continual months. WA has dropped the ball, this allows Mboma to reduce her testosterone levels in time for next season and anytime now. This applies to Masilingi and any other mainly Africans who wish to try to reduce their testosterone levels. Their South African coach says reducing will make no difference as they are just both very fast and the latest Testosterone investigation doesn't support the previous findings.
The correct decision would have been to introduce a 3rd category for these intersex DSD athletes, running alongside females in female events, but separately awarded medals or positions. You have to wonder why they decide this way, is it because they know more than they are telling us.
Really they are changing the rules to protect female sport and unfortunately this is the correct decision. It has always been around just not detected before or so prevalent. Mary Decker had raised Testosterone, but to a less extent 1.25mls and she had children, so obviously 100% female. However there have been other intersex athletes before but undetected as just not fully known then.
So in summary yes female athletes should be protected 100%. Those outside this will have to reduce their Testosterone level to 2.5mls for a duration of 6 months then be able to compete in the female category for any track event from 100m to 10,000m.
The wiser choice would have been to introduce a 3rd category?
Note I am just reporting so everyone has full understanding and not speculation. I am not taking sides.

@@bernardm2528 Precisely your proposed solution has long been implemented in regional masters athletics in some regions. Instead of banning athletes from outside the region from participating in regional championships, the organizers arrange an open competition in which two categories of awards (eg regional athletes 1-2-3 and non-regional athletes 1-2-3) are based on whether the athlete is from inside or outside the region. All participants feel they have been treated fairly and have a great sporting experience.

What a terrible ordeal for a young person to go through privately, let alone as a top athlete on the international stage. The reality is that sex and gender is not a black and white issue. Those who say it is are either ignoring or unable to understand the science of it. We must find a way to be fair to the athletes who are competing and the non-athletes as well. In my opinion, if it is biological like in Caster's case, she should have been able to compete. ALL top athletes are biologically gifted in some way. They have that advantage over the rest of us. If you don't have the genes that give you that superiority, no amount of hard work is going to overcome that.

A person's sex is determined by their chromosomes not their external genetalia or their upbringing. If you have XY Chromosomes you are biologically male, if you have XX chromosomes you are biologically female. And yes you can be biologically male with a vagina and testicles instead of ovaries, which is the case with Caster Semenya. This is very easy to explain and can be established with a simple blood test. This we see here is the damage caused when arrogance ànd ignorance, helped along in no small way by insensitive fools in the media, are allowed to hold sway. It's nothing short of appalling.

She knew she was a male on the inside for years , but at least she can still have a baby becuse her partner in life who she loves which is awesome is a female so he can donate his semen to her .
